Water. Cool water lapping at her skin. Washing away all of the dirt and things she picked up from her falling.

Falling. Falling! Oh no. The girl she had brought down with her. Couldn't even see who she was.

Frost suddenly burst out of the water, coughing water out. Oxygen seemed sweet after that shock of the water.

The brunette she had taken down with her was calling out to her.
Hey! Are you ok?
"Isabella?" The small girl asked, turning around to see the girl.

Frost's hazel eyes grew wide. Was Isabella okay?!

"Bella! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!"

Pain stung her cheek where she had been cut. She reached her hand up to touch it. The ginger sighed after looking at her hand. At least there was no blood. For now at least.

A group of people were at the shore. Some started to wade into the lake. Frost's vision was slightly blurred from the water.

They weren't in very deep yet, so Frost started making her way to Isabella.

Two people had come to help. A light-haired Slytherin boy she had known as Khris and a ginger girl from Hufflepuff named Ami.

"Ah! I'm so sorry if I interrupted your gathering!"

Frost was on her feet now, trudging her way to Isabella.

This will not happen again. No, it's alright. Let's just think of this as a lesson. Now you know to be careful, especially when it's outside.

"Isabella! Are you alright?"

Frost walked wearily to Isabella. Khris and Ami close behind.

The water chilled her and made her skin cold to touch. It was a nice day, sure, but the lake water was freezing. Or at least, to her it was. You’d think she’d be used to the cold by now - with her common room being in the colder part of the castle. But for some reason the cold just affected her more than it did others.

She shivered as she sat in the shallow waters of the Great Lake. Hopefully no one had seen her less than graceful tumble down the slope. Of course, fate had had different plans for her - having not one but five people around witness her fall. One quick glance around the lakes shore confirmed that.

A lone Slytherin was separated from what seemed to be a gathering of the houses (minus Gryffindor because no one likes Gryffindors), who she instantly recognised as her cousin. Ignoring the disapproving look her cousin gave her, she focused her attention instead on the ‘Gathering of the Houses’ group. From what she could see, in the group there were two Ravenclaws, a Hufflepuff and a Slytherin - whomst she recognised as Khris, after meeting the boy back in February.

"Isabella?" Jeez, she recognized that voice. She had meet the girl around the same time as Khris. What was her name again? Snow? Ice? It was something to do with winter. Her brain clicked as she remembered the girls name - Frost.

Turning to face the girl with the cold name, she smiled slightly as she saw the widened eyes from the girl that had knocked her down the hill. "Bella! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!" Nodding her head, she turned back to stare at the group that had seen her inelegant fall. Her eyes widened and her cheeks turned a shade of pink when the group started to make their way over to Frost and her. Were they going to talk to them? Could this possibly mean social interaction. What a ghastly thing it was, especially at such an inconvenient time for her.

An extended hand from a Ravenclaw boy made her shudder at the thought of touching a boy. In her eyes, they were all flobber worms. Every single one. Well, most of them were anyway - she didn't count the nice ones as flobber worms.

Grabbing his out stretched hand and pulling herself up as him and Khris said some science mumbo-jumbo, she winced as she used her arm that had been so tragically stabbed by a stupid rock or twig that just had to be in the place she was falling. Jeez, she hoped it wasn't hurt too bad - she'd never forgive herself if she had injured her arm so bad it would have to be chopped off.

"Isabella! Are you alright?" A voice made her turn around quickly, almost falling over in the cold water again in surprise as she did. Turning pinker still as Khris, Frost and the unnamed Hufflepuff made their way towards her, she shouted in the general direction of Frost in a tired voice. "Yea, I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me."

Ignoring her arm for the time being, she moved away from the group towards the shore where she might possibly be able to warm up a bit before she caught her death standing dripping wet and soaked to the skin in the shallow water of the Great Lake.

You see? Even death has a heart.

As more people had walked over to the sence her cousin and an unfimiar girl had causes she got up and went to inspect the victims, by the time lizzie got to the rest of the students, Bella and the other girl who she assumed was called frost as heard others say it when talking Around her, had almost made her way out of the water onto the land where the ground was now muddy and soft as the water had turned the solid ground into a more liquid state

”well...that was something wasn’t it” she said half giggling while popping her head around from behide a group of people some she knew some she didn’t, as the now fully drenched girls escape from the water she watched has the icey blue cold water still rippling from the splash. ”on a more serious note are you guys ok, surely you must be freezing” she said starting at bella and frost

Lizzie still didn’t fully understand the situation even thou she had watched the whole thing and almost been dragged into the water which them it seemed like a sence from the flash, everything just moved so fast, as she brought her self back to the facts of what had happened she wondered what they were all going to do now as everyone had somehow been bundled like a basket of goods in this situation while just standing there for a while acting like a complete mute, waiting for someone else to take action over the situation

This last day was a mess of all different kinds, and certainly wasn't what Ami had thought it would be. Things were happening so fast, and there were a lot of names to remember, and... just, too much stress why did she do this to herself.

No complaining! Stop complaining! Trying to gather her thoughts, Ami looked around the gathering group. So many people... a lot of people had said a lot of different things, but the important thing right now were the two girls who had taken their tumble down the hill.

"Yes, you all must be insanely cold-" Ami said, agreeing with the Slytherin girl who had just come over. "But maybe not?" Wading through the water, drawing away from the crowd, the Hufflepuff splashed the water around with her hands, dragging her fingertips through the cool liquid. "It's not that cold, honestly."

Ah, she was such a drama queen. As if just to prove her point, Ami promptly turned a somersault into the water, completely soaking herself through. Surfacing and rising to her feet with a gasp for air, Ami brushed her soaking wet hair away from her face, turning to look at the group.

Oh boy, that probably wasn't the best idea. Yeah, no, that was really dumb. Grinning sheepishly at Cecily, who seemed to be the only person there who was actually her friend, Ami awkwardly threw her a thumbs up. "Last day, they can't kick me out now, right...?" Glancing at the rest of the crowd of people at the lake, as well, Ami twinkled her fingers as a hello.

Hopefully, no one in attendance held any authority that could be used to get her in trouble. Scanning the group, no one really stood out, not really... maybe some of those Slytherins were prefects? Who knew? Maybe she really could get expelled on the last day of school... man, that would really suck.

Cecily moved towards the girls emerging from the lake, and heard multiple people ask if they were okay. Although it was summer, it wasn't exactly the warmest in Scotland, and the water was sure to be ice cold.

Ami, however, didn't think so. Cecily watched the Hufflepuff run her fingers through the water and, as they all watched, turn a somersault into the freezing lake. Cecily gaped, hopping backwards out of the splash zone. Everyone else could get wet if they wanted to, but Cecily planned on staying perfectly dry, thank you very much.

As one of the Ravenclaw's only friends, Cecily knew fully about Ami's constant outgoing, brash and impulsive behavior, and knew it had gotten her into trouble before. She shook her head at the Hufflepuff, who was staring back at the Ravenclaw, awkwardly grinning in a manner than implied instant regret. Cecily opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again. What would she even say?

"Ami..." Cecily searched for the right words, but came up with nothing, finally deciding on just simply asking, "Why?" Sometimes Cecily wished she knew what went on inside of her friend's brain. Then again, maybe she didn't.

"Last day," Ami said sheepishly. "They can't kick me out now, right...?" Cecily immediately noticed quite a few things wrong with that statement, primarily the fact that they still had six years left at the school, and they most certainly could kick the unthinking girl out for every single one of then. However, the Ravenclaw decided not to mention that.

Now that everybody was alright, or decent at the least, Frost could check up on herself. She, in fact, had been cut by a branch or maybe a shrp rock. Something had cut her left cheekbone as she came tumbling down with Bella. The girl lifted her fingers to touch her cheek, checking if there was blood or not.

She dug in her knapsack, now undoubtedly soaked now as well as the items that resided in it, for a dry napkin or at east something so that blood wasn't leaking everywhere. Although it was just a small cut, it was rather impolite and unsanitary to not clean it up and care for yourself. Luckily, there was just a bit left of a napkin that wasn't wet for her to wipe away the blood from the scratch.

Holding a little peice of the white paper cloth to her cheekbone, she continued her walk to the shore. And unlike her fellow Hufflepuff, who had summersaulted into the lake, she wanted to start drying off. The water of the lake wasn't, contrary to what some of the others were saying, very cold. At least not to Frost.

The ginger stood next to Bella on the warm sand of the shore. She showed her the rest of the napkin that she didn't use yet. "Did you get a cut too? You can use this to clean it up if you'd like?" Handing the napkin to her, she plopped down onto the dry grains of sand. She pulled off her leather boots and poured out the water that had gathered in it (yes like they do in those iconic movies).

Frost tied up her wet hair to get it out of her face. She dreaded the likely soaking wet objects in her bag. Why did it have to be not water-proof? It would make things a lot easier right about now. The ginger waved and said her proper hellos to the group of people she had probably disturbed with her tumbling presence.

There was Khris, Ami, Isabella, and two Ravenclaw students she had no idea who they were. And the other Slytherin had left, into the shadows of the trees. What a way to say "I'm here", am I right? Frost pushed up her glasses, which should have fallen off but miraculously didn't. "Well, lovely day for a little water, isn't it?" She said jokingly.

Lizzie has left the thread for her own reasons, so I thought I should just make a teeny little comment on it.  <3

Isabella stood on the shore of the lake, watching one of the students flip in the freezing water if the lake. Did she not feel the cold or something? She was positively chilled to the bone, and she had barely been in the lake for five minutes. The tell-tale sounds of footsteps gave away the fact that someone was approaching her. Turning her head, she smiled as she recognised the Hufflepuff that had forced her to roll down the hill.

Yea, I got a cut. It shouldn’t be too bad though. Thanks for asking.” taking the napkin from the girl, she sat down next to her on the shore of the lake. Using a clean bit of the napkin, she held it up against her arm - wiping away any blood that had bleed from her skin after getting out of the lake.

Looking out at the Great Lake, she smiled as she replied to the Hufflepuff next to her. “Too cold for me, the water needs to be as warm as bath water before I even think about getting in.” She was unsure how she survived the cold winter at Hogwarts - it even surprised her how she had managed to make it through the winter and keep her grades up. She usually didn’t function well when she was cold.

She must be crazy, somersaulting in the water like that. It’s freezing. Is she not worried about getting kicked out?” She laughed as she commented on the girl somersaulting in the lake. Unsure of how the rest of the group seemed to stay in the Great Lake, she studied them all - asking Frost of the names of those she didn’t know. “Hey Frost? Do you know all of these students? Could you possibly tell me the names of the ones you know? I only know you and Khris.

A nervous laugh escaped her lips as she tried to keep her tone casual throughout her question. To be entirely honest with herself, she felt guilty for not knowing their names. She had spent almost a whole year with them - attending the same classes, eating at the Great Hall, ect, ect - and she still didn’t know their names. What kind of person was she, how could she of gone so long without even thinking about asking them who they were?
