An Evening on the Grounds

Isadora Ramona Everridge - Word count: 253 - Color: #631679 - EncyIt's nice and warm, almost too warm for how early in the year it still is. Though, it's nearly March, which means they'll be well into spring soon. Spring back home was nice. The roses around the Everridge Manor bloom in full, harvested and sold to various funeral goers and people who just want to visit a loved one's grave. The snow melts and the grass grows green. Rain showers can be nice and peaceful, even if Dora's not allowed to go outside during a storm. Muddy stockings and all that.
Right now the sun is setting, casting the sky in an orange glow. The mountains look so dark against the bright beyond. It's a beautiful sight, and maybe it will be able to lend Dora some inspiration. She's taking a stroll with her black notebook, and hopefully she'll find a way to fill it with something substantial. She's been trying to think of what she wants to do with it. Should it be a diary? Her life isn't very interesting to write about, though. She's not very good at drawing, either. It seems a waste to use it as just another notebook. The only time she felt like she knew what to do with it was when she picked up that pretty feather in the owlery. She tucked it between the pages, labeled and dated it.
Keeping an eye open for another mundane object to keep, Dora tries to enjoy the fresh air and pretty scenery as she walks along a path.
