apologies for the fact that the banner says 'prefect'. maggie's hair color was different at this point in time and it was the only banner i had.xxxLazarus Plott was stupid. Sure, it wasn't technically the Ilvermorny headmaster's fault that her house had lost the game, but Maggie was choosing to deflect the blame to him. After all, it couldn't possibly be her own fault or that of her team. The sun was shining overhead, bright and warm, and Maggie couldn't have felt more angry. Stupid Gryffindor. Maybe it was stereotypical of the Slytherins to hate the Gryffindor team--maybe Maggie was just following the framework already laid for her. Either way, she stood to the side of the field, arms crossed over her chest. Her uniform was rumpled from the time in the sky, and her face was set with a hard line. Fuck.
"Totally unfair," she mumbled, kicking the dirt and grass beneath her shoe with a scuffed boot. Her shin and knee guards were dirtied up with mud and grass stains, too stubborn to wash out no matter how hard Maggie tried for it. Whatever. "We totally deserved the win."
In a mere two days, the young girl would be over the devastation that was losing a Quidditch game. The effects of the games, win or loss, never seemed to stick with Maggie for more than a few hours afterwards, which was both a blessing and a curse.mentioning @Pax Zhang.

She/TheyOverall, it had been a pretty good day for Pax. Gryffindor had won their final game of the season, and even though Pax hadn't been heavily involved, they were still incredibly proud of their team and what they'd managed to achieve. Of course, next year they'd be shooting for first place however.
A smile wide on their face, they exited the changing rooms a little later than everyone else on their team, having enjoyed the taste of victory. However, it seemed as if they weren't alone on the pitch, even though the game was over and the crowds had left the pitch for the castle, or potentially various other locations in the school grounds. A Slytherin, Maggie Hawkins they reckoned (they'd made a point to attempt to learn all of their opponents so they best knew how to destroy them on the field).
Pax could tell she didn't seem much in the mood to talk. But that wasn't going to stop them, at least not today. Nothing would be able to bring them down from the high that was winning.
"Hey, Maggie isn't it?" They slotted in next to her, ignoring the obvious irritation not well concealed on her face. "Good game out there. You managed to score, didn't you? It's pretty impressive, considering who you're up against. I'd be willing to be a bright future if you continued."
Was it flattery? Perhaps. But did Pax care? Not particularly. Besides, they did mean what they were saying, even if their tone made the words seem sarcastic.
"Oh, I'm Pax. Pax Zhang, she/they. Nice to meet you officially." They extended their hand out for a handshake, if Maggie wasn't too consumed with annoyance to reject it.Reducio

Maggie couldn't stand any of them (not right now, at least--it was horribly likely that she'd forget about her entire issue in two seconds as she often did). It was just her luck that one of the main perpetrators (in a way) decided they had nothing better to do than approach Maggie for a chat. Probably to antagonize or something. Maggie screwed her face up in distaste best she could, though she really did look far more like an elderly pug with its wrinkled face.
Despite the almost pointed and sarcastic comments, Maggie did appreciate the compliments laced throughout. "Oh, uh, yeah, it is. Maggie," she squinted at the other person, examining them thoroughly. She'd seen them before, around the school. Walked with an awful lot of confidence, if Maggie could recall correctly. "Oh my god, it was just a bad day, is all. Normally we're much better. Would've wiped the field with you guys."
Still, the normal irritation that she would've felt in this situation wasn't there. Maggie felt somewhat drawn in, enchanted, by this mysterious figure, this Pax Zhang. Or maybe she had too much to eat before the game, that was another solution.
"She/her. Pleasure's all mine, I think," Maggie took their hand and shook once, firmly, cocking her head to the side.mentioning @Pax Zhang.

They/ShePax nodded, grinning a little. "That's good. How stupid would I look if I came over here and instantly got your name wrong?"
They laughed at the notion. Of course, there was going to be an air of friendly competitiveness between them, after all they had just come out of an intense match. However, it was a fine line to not outright insult, and keep the conversation as casual jokes between them. At least, that was how Pax saw it. There was a chance Maggie saw it differently.
"I guess I'll just have to take your word for it then," they simply replied. "Unless you wanna get back up there and suffer some more?"
A chuckle was let out at Maggie's uncertainty. Though Pax had to assume that it was from a place of short-lived resentment towards the lions' triumph over the snakes. They could presume they would feel similar towards any team Gryffindor may potentially lose to. Well, not that they thought Gryffindor could lose.
"You think? Well, I'm glad that my presence has made you uneasy. That's a joke," they quickly added.
"Now, are you planning on standing here until the sun goes down, or are you gonna get back up to the castle and get on with your life? It's your choice, Mags."Reducio
