Im thinking of making him question his gender. Maybe later in his life, more near 3rd year for this. After a few months, he will probably keep his original name after a few name changes, and learn that he likes to use They/He pronouns! He will learn the term Demiboy after this acknowledgment, and label himself that.

PERSONALITY
Jay is a kind(+) child, going out of his way to help others and make someone's day better. Despite this, he will never tell a lie to others, making him sound blunt(=). He is very protective(=) of his friends and family, going through unseen lengths to keep them safe and happy. Jay is also caring(+) for most, never missing a chance to help an injured student or to listen to a friend in need. Jay is unforgiving(-) to anyone who crossed him or his loved ones. He will never forget the wrongdoing of anyone, and it stays with him for a long time. Jay is also really scatterbrained(-), and can never just focus on one thought or action and usually can't stay in one subject for long.
 x APPEARANCE
When it comes to clothing, simple is the way to go. Outside of school or even just on weekends you can find the Gryffindor boy wearing clothes that seemed thrown on. Hand-me-downs are what he wears day to day. Shirts with funny words and duck pictures are the best in his opinion. He wears dark hoodies or flannels, just to keep himself warm and because he thinks it looks cool. You will never see this man without jeans on his legs, even when sleeping. When you think about it, he just sleeps in average clothes. He doesn’t like PJs. The funniest thing about his fit is his socks, which are always mismatched. On can be a plain black while the other is a over the top Christmas sock.
