The Great Hall is a large room with four long tables where students of each House sit during the day and at mealtimes. A majestic enchanted ceiling that mirrors the outside weather is watching over people in the room.
When you just pass the door from the Entrance Hall, Hufflepuff's table is a bit far. This table is the third one, after Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff students are sharing meals and good talks at this table, and you will always be warmly welcomed there.

This is a RPG topic where all students are welcome to post.
All RPG rules apply. Word count per post is 200 words, not including quotes, ooc chat or other people's words. Any flood type of message will be deleted after a warning owl is sent. IM the coolest teacher

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
"I think I'll do just fine here. I get to live in a castle, and work with magic.... Her head jerked up at the sudden sound of laughter nearby, before she relaxed with a smile. And in Hufflepuff, I'll be sure to make some friends." -R. Bane
Daeshim looked row by row of the color separated tables trying to find one described to be Hufflepuff. Of course, he found it by asking one of the blue dressed teens since they seemed smart(with the indication of multiple with homework and books), quickly he sat in the first available seat he saw which was by the girl with pale brown eyes. He watched others pull and grab food that was presented in front of them messing up the display but also making him lose whatever appetite he had from the train ride and waiting to get sorted. He wasn't so sure about his sorting result, but he was new to what a wizard was and how this school worked. Like the hat mentioned, he was a blank slate when it came to knowing about magic, potions, or... Basically everything. His old life would be of no use to him now.
Taking a breath he brushed off his anxiety so he could enjoy the beginning of his first day. Looking at his fellow Hufflepuff he saw how welcoming they are to each other acting as if they known them for years. At least he wouldn't have to worry too much about fitting in. The girl he sat next to seemed to be adjusting the same as he was. What's a better way of adjusting then to befriend another in the same situation? God he hoped his English was good enough to be understood.
Turning to the girl who was around his age he put on the friendliest smile he could. "This place is amazin', int it? I'm Daeshim Young, and you?"

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Verla looked past the girl next to her and realized that the other person next to her left. She looked at the boy, with her face stuffed with cookies. She smiled and a few crumbs fell off the corner of her mouth. Her face went red and she looked down and finished chewing and swallowed, then wiped the crumbs from the corner of her mouth. She looked back at him and wondered if he was talking to her or the other new girl who just sat down. She looked down at Oliver who was eating his bugs she caught for him earlier.
She stood up and sat back down when she saw a girl she disliked walk in. She tried to hide but the girl walked past her. She shouted at him so he could hear her, "Hi! I'm Verla!" She introduced herself and Oliver poked his head up at who she was speaking to and scowled, then went back to eating.
Verla shied away, and decided to stand up and leave, until she ran into some one. She apologized to the person, it was someone she had or hadn't met before, she couldn't remember. Then she walked past them and stopped. (unless stopped)
OOC: Daeshim, if you were talking to Verla, would you possibly want to start a pv in the small hallway?

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Emanual spotted the full table he'd been sorted towards before, the Hufflepuff table, and made his way over. Glancing around the rooms, he couldn't help but wonder if students could sit among each other at other tables and if not, why not? But he sat down and forgot his thoughts.
Looking up and down the table, sitting somewhat on his own, he focused on his books, pulling them out. He looked through one, his Fantastic Beasts book with which he'd been deeply enthralled since he'd opened it. He'd stopped on the entry about the Augurey, unable to help looking over the entry a few times, deeply curious about the creature.
He proceeded to pull out a camera of his, then used it to look around the hall at the other tables, students, and professor's. He didn't take any pictures, he just observed through its lease mostly. So many different people, making him wonder what lives they come from. As he looked up to the ceiling, he decided to take a picture of its magical state. He stowed his camera away, then pulled out his wand. It was still so weird to him, that a wooden stick was supposed to produce magic, but it was also amazing. He hoped to do amazing things with it.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
So.. This was his designated table along with his house..
Right off the bat the raven was too timid to even sit close to anyone. He needed too, he knew this, but at the moment he wasn't sure he wanted to. Ven wasn't sure what to expect if he were to sit next to someone and strike up a conversation. He was still extremely new to the Wizarding World and if the other party were to start up on something the boy had no clue about, well... he didn't want to be the one to constantly ask what was what and all..
So to the end of the table it was to sit by himself and take in the view of the Great Hall, which he didn't mind doing at all. It was magnificent with the floating candles and the magic just dancing around in the air. He'd speak up and use his voice to interact with others soon, he just needed a moment to himself. Oh how he wished his siblings were here with him.. They would adore it here like he already did. Every bit of it. Speaking of which, he'd need to write to them soon, tell them that he made it alright and all the amazing and wonderful things he's encountered already just in his first/second day.
Being in his own head was a habit of his, which probably made him look a bit odd as he stared off into space thinking about so many things... Hopefully, he could break this habit soon and actually talk out his ideas with someone. If they were okay to listen, of course.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
After being chosen as a Hufflepuff, he was a bit disappointed. His mum had always told him he was a Gryffindor since his parents were too. Might as well get used to my classmates.. Miko thought as he walked closer to the table.
He sat down and stared at all of the food and said "Woah...". "Oh, how rude of me. I'm Miko, Miko Limof that is." he said looking at the students around him. "My parents told me and Milo about Hogwarts, but I never thought it was this!" He muttered to himself.
Miko had a twin brother named Milo, except you can tell the 2 apart. Even though they were twins, they looked nothing like each other. Milo was blonde with blue eyes and Miko had Brown hair and emerald green eyes. Besides that, they were also put in different wizarding schools.
"Oi, can one of you lads pass me some pie? That would be great, thank ye." Miko said as his accent grew thicker. I hope they can understand me, with my accent they probably can't. If not I'll just grab some pie myself, not too much of a hassle. he thought while pointing at the pie plate.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Emanual distantly heard someone ask about pie, and he dropped his camera to look in the students direction who asked for it, before dropping his gaze before eye contact could be made. Avoiding bumping anyone, he grabbed for whatever pie was closest, and slide it over to the other Hufflepuff. He said nothing, just pushed it over kindly, barely glancing in his direction.
He pulled up his camera again, deciding to take a look at his fellow students through the lens (it felt easier). He wasn't taking shots, merely because he wasn't sure anyone would want him to. But he still looked, as if searching for something worth snapping a shot. In the end, he put his camera back in his bag, focusing on his meal on his plate, and eating away at it thoughtfully, more picking at it than anything. He noticed it made him feel something missing...or like he preferred...something else... No. No, this is...what nostalgia feels like, he realized. As he was thinking of his mothers toast. Something about how she made it was different. He'd never felt nostalgic before, it was very strange. It was almost sad, yet...reassuring in some way that he knew probably no one would understand.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
"Thank ye!" He said after he gobbled down his first slice. "Wow this is some fine pie" Miko remarked, grinning. He wiped off some of the crumbs that made their way on to the table.
Miko loved pie, almost as much music but not quite there. Any chance he got to eat pie, he would take it, that's to show how much he likes pie.I am like a pig now he thought suddenly staring off into space. Mum Or dad wouldn't like that, they would say "Mind your manners Miko!" I guess they're right.. he politely wiped his face and gave everyone a small smile.
Miko began moving his finger on the table as if he were playing a piano, which he wasn't. He didn't mean to, and it was a good beat and all, but maybe it could get on others nerves. I'm like all of those crazy musicions that people used to call pigs. I eat like a pig and I like music! he looked at the floor feeling a bit upset that he thought he was a pig. Of course he wasn't one but his brain said otherwise. Miko wanted to please his friend and family so thinking about this made him feel a bit down.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Jade found himself glaring--seething even!--down at his feet as he trudged over to the Hufflepuff table located in the Great Hall. Floating candles illuminated the large hall and one would think they were magnificent if they were actually looking at them, which Jade wasn't. What was he so obviously frustrated about? Being accepted into Hufflepuff, of all houses, of course! He came from a long line of either Ravenclaws or Slytherins, but Hufflepuff...he couldn't have been more embarrassed in his life. There was nothing wrong with Hufflepuff, you see...but Hufflepuffs seemed to be, well...soft, so to speak. He thought it didn't fit his rebellious image, but that stupid talking hat said otherwise. But that was obviously his juvenile mind speaking and sooner or later he'd just have to accept it.
He wondered if his mother and father would be disappointed in him. His siblings would probably only laugh and tease him, and he didn't even want to imagine what little 'nicknames' the triplets would give him. The young boy groaned at the thought, and he quietly shuffled to a less populated table where young boys and girls alike bustled about life before Hogwarts, how excited they were to attend Hogwarts, blah, blah, blah; all about Hogwarts. Jade had to refrain from letting out a sudden outburst of agitation as he sat down across from an odd looking boy around his age staring off into space. He honestly paid no mind to the boy and looked down at the assortment of meat, veggies, fruits, and...lollipops? He didn't question it and piled a small portion of food onto his plate, grabbing the multi-colored swirled lollipop from a chalice filled with different kinds of candy, some he didn't even recognize.

The Hufflepuff Table 2018-2019
Emanual, observing the hall with his camera, noticed the annoyed-looking boy taking a seat. He observed him with the camera for a little bit, before putting the camera away. He didn't always like eye contact, it made him uncomfortable, but without it, he didn't mind studying people. It was interesting, and like a puzzle, to figure them out. This boy certain seemed uncomfortable at the table, and he noticed the looks he gave around him. There was a sense of not belonging. That was something he could somewhat relate to, but he could tell it wasn't the same kind of discomfort. He almost thought he perceived an...annoyance.
Eventually, he lowered his gaze, knowing if he was noticed, he might receive anger for staring. He turned his camera to the end of the hall, where the professors were, and took a picture. He would try and see if he could develop it, with the method used to make other pictures move, magically. The shot did make him wonder. What teacher would be his favorite, of them all? What classes would be his favorite? Would he even be any good? He hoped he managed to do well with SOME classes. He was beginning to wonder. Perhaps this was excitement.
