Pandora left the classroom exhausted from the last lesson. Her goal was to go to the common room and sleep on the sofa until it was time to eat. It was a good decision. Her eyes turned to her necklace. It had turned a light blue color. She didn't think much of it, thinking it was from lack of sleep.
She felt that there was a lot of noise around. She covered her ears, but when she realized that there was no change, she gave up. It would hold up to the common room now. She yawned tiredly. She quickened her pace to get to the common room quickly.
She found himself on the ground. She had bumped someone. She looked around and saw that the items in her bag had fallen. She spoke quickly to the person she bumped into while packing:
"I'm so very sorry. I bumped into you with confusion mixed with the tiredness of the day. I'm not normally like this, believe me."
She spoke very fast and a lot. She wasn't even looking at the person. Then she realized she couldn't find the music box. Her eyes widened with fear.
"Tell me quickly if you've seen a small white piano-shaped music box with flowers on it.Very important."

Eleanor had her small hand gripped tightly around her extraordinarily heavy messenger bag as she traversed her way through the packed Hogwarts corridor in fear that it would be knocked off of her shoulder by another pupil. The final class of the day had just ended so an abundance of sluggish teenagers were bumping into the fragile first year. After an eternity of getting knocked about different students like she was a ball in the game plinko, the corridors had pretty much fully cleared up. A sigh of relief left Eleanor's lips as she loosened the grip on her messenger bag, only to nearly drop it only a minute later as one final student came crashing into her, and onto the floor.
Eleanor looked down at the Ravenclaw she'd just knocked onto the floor, in the process it seems the stranger's bag had opened itself and sprawled all of its continents across the floor. "Let me help you with that!" Ellie told the girl who was scrambling to shove all of her belongings back into the girl whilst frantically apologising, "It's really okay, class just ended, everyone is tired." Ellie reassured the girl whilst picking up some stray parchment close to her feet.
The pair had finished picking up what Eleanor thought was all the items before she saw a panicked expression suddenly place itself on the Ravenclaw's face. "Tell me quickly if you've seen a small white piano-shaped music box with flowers on it. Very important." The girl commanded, her eyes darting all across their surroundings. Startled, but also filled with worry for the girl and her lost belonging, Eleanor began to look around much more calmly. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted an object filling the same description the girl had provided just moments earlier.
After quickly making her way over to the object, she picked it up and held it out slightly towards the girl, "is this the music box?" Eleanor asked, walking over to the girl with her arm still outstretched.

Pandora was relieved to see the music box in the girl's hand. She quickly took it from her hand and twisted the rope under it. She was relieved when she heard a soft lullaby piano sound. It was her mother's favorite song to play. She used to insist that her mother steal it when she was little. In a relaxed voice
"Thank you very much. This is of great value to me. I would be very upset if it was broken or lost. Thank you very much."
She slowly put the music box in her bag. She turned to the girl and realized that they had not met. extending she hand and spoke cheeryful voice:
"My name is Pandora Smith. But my friends called Dora or Panda. So what is your name?"
She smiled. Always open to new friends. Even though they got off to a weird start, it was still open. She wanted to know a little more. With a friendly voice:
"What's your hobbies? What's the Gryffindor common room like? Is it nice? Does it get sun? Or what kind of aura does it have?"
She was looking curiously. She was a little too curious. It showed too much.

Eleanor allowed her outstretched hand to linger in the air for just a moment as the music box was swiped from her palm. With interest, she watched as the mysterious witch tugged on the rope that hung from the wooden box, a soft tune began to play and Eleanor could see in the Ravenclaw's eyes that the melody had a personal meaning to her, and she couldn't help but let a small smile tug at her own, slightly chapped, lips.
"I'm glad we were able to find it" she gestured towards the music box,"it contains such a beautiful melody." She kept her eyes fixed on the music box as it was put away into the girl's bag. Once the object was completely out of view, her eyes darted up to the now smiling face in front of her. It was not until the girl introduced herself as Pandora that Eleanor realised the two had not yet exchanged name, both caught up in the catastrophe that was the missing music box.
Stretching her arm out towards Pandora for a handshake, Eleanor introduced herself, "it's lovely to meet you! I'm Eleanor, but you can call me Ellie if you'd like." The pair shook hands and immediately, questions started spouting out of the Ravenclaw's mouth, it made sense really, it is in a Ravenclaw's nature to be curious. She tried her best to mentally keep up with all of Pandora's questions and let out a small giggle before answering.
"My hobbies? I like to practice different hairstyles, but that's pretty much it. I grew up in the muggle world and all my life I'd loved playing with hair accessories, and what I loved even more than that was trips to the hair salon. I really wanted to be a hairdresser, and before finding out magic ran through my blood, I was dead set on going to a hair and beauty school for college and university." Eleanor let out a sigh, at times she wished she didn't have the blood that she had, it made her life so.. complicated. It wasn't like her dreams of becoming a hairdresser were completely crushed, they'd just have to be postponed for a little while. Or maybe she'd find a magic job that she could completely fall in love with, like becoming an Auror or a Dragon Tamer. Auror seemed to be quite a popular option Eleanor picked up from conversations she'd overheard between other students. "Apologies for rambling..." she let out a nervous chuckle before envisioning the cozy Gryffindor common room that Pandora was enquiring about.
Picturing the lush sofas and extravagant curtains, Eleanor suddenly began to long the common room. She hadn't desired to waltz in after a, what could be quicker, exchange with the Fat Lady and legging it to her dorm room to just sprawl out on the cloud-like beds. "It's lovely.." she grinned, "everything is red and gold, obviously, and there's just an aura of comfort, it really feels like if a fireplace was turned into a room." Her simile didn't really make any sense, but in her head it was the perfect comparison, "There's biiig windows, and the light just spills in and floods the room in a gorgeous sunlit glow." Eleanor never realised she had a knack for literature, but she felt like she had to really sell the Gryffindor common room to Pandora after hearing so much about the elegance of the Ravenclaw common room. So she cracked open her mental dictionary and basically pulled out every fancy adjective she could to describe the room she would soon learn like the back of her hand. "I could ask the same about the Ravenclaw common room y'know, I've heard it's remarkable."

She was slightly touched when the girl talked about the jukebox. A drop of blood involuntarily spilled from her eye. She quickly wiped her eyes, broke away from her thoughts and spoke.
"Yes, she has a beautiful voice. So the music box has a very nice sound."
She had said wrong. No, she said to herself. Her mother used to have a piano melody in it. It was her favorite melody. She tried to speak in a cheerful voice:
"Nice to meet you Ellie. You have a very beautiful name."
Her over-talk made her laugh involuntarily in a friendly voice. When she got excited, she spoke too much and unnecessarily.
"It's not important. Don't worry, I'm too talkative. So it's okay with me."
She smiled. She tried to imagine the Gryffindor common rooms as he described them. She thought it had a very nice atmosphere. When the question was put to her, she thought of her own common rooms.
"Very good. It has an astronomical feel. There are many desks in the common room. Often times it is very full. There are star patterns on the ceiling. Globes, lamps, tables, sofas, chairs and poufs are beautiful."
She missed the common room.
