"Reapply as Needed"
Kyle held out his hands as he walked into the boy's room and examined them closely. He wore polish to keep himself from nail biting (also just because he thought it looked cool) yet if he got nervous, he would bite anyway. The last week had been pretty stressful so he needed a bit of a touch-up. He took a small bottle of white polish out of his bag and unscrewed the lid.
He carefully painted his nails, making sure they were neat and uniform. It was his free period, so he had time to do multiple coats so it would be sufficiently opaque. He finished the first coat and blew lightly on his nails.
I'm running a bit low on white... I still have the green one though. He wondered aimlessly. I could get one of those ones that tastes bad... that would help with biting, right? Whatever...
Polishing his nails was almost therapeutic for him, the soft brush tickling his fingers. He brushed on one more coat to top it off.
I'll ask Mom to send me some more...
He tossed the empty bottle into the trash and looked at the final result, still drying on his hands.
Maybe... blue and bronze! For Ravenclaw! That would be cute.
