The earliest memory Fidelia can conjure up is being surrounded by unfamiliar words in a language she didn't speak. Still, she felt safe and content. She sat on the dirt with her legs folded in front of her. Marcelo, who was only an infant, was in her lap. They sat in the embrace of a massive blazing fire, not close enough to get burnt but not exceeding its orange glow. In the darkness looming around them were trees larger than life that contained the chittering of nocturnal insects and the occasional trill of birds. Beads of sweat clung to the small curls at the nape of her neck, brought on by the heavy heat. Larger, lithe bodies danced by the flame barefoot, capturing Fidelia's gaze. She was hypnotized.

She had never seen anything more beautiful than the swaying shadows. It was magic.

Among them were her mother and father, holding each other tightly as their bodies swayed to the beat of drums and deep singing. Her mother's long tight curls bounced as she hopped from foot to foot around the fire, her plump lips pulled back into a smile of absolute bliss. Her nose, the same nose Fidelia had, was pointed up to the sky, and her eyes closed like she was in a dream. Her long eyelashes cast shadows on the top of her cheeks. She looked like a free goddess. Fidelia's father, who was an arm's reach away, was just as enchanted. The man's normally stern expression was peeled away, revealing a man entirely in love. This was his goddess, and they were Fidelia's parents.

No memory better summarises Fidelia's parents or her life with them.

Her father, a Scottish muggle-born named Graham and a former Auror, took his family from country to country as he broke curses big and small. Due to this, Fidelia was constantly surrounded by people of all shapes, forms, and languages. Her mother, a Puerto Rican pureblood named Elodia, enjoyed the freedom her husband's job gave them. She was talented enough to be a wandmaker, a skill passed down in her family, and while she was gifted at the craft- she preferred to earn knuts and sickles by performing. She taught Fidelia how magical dancing is and to be as poised as a cat.

When Elodia and Graham aren't working, they are with the children. Elodia taught them the basics of life and how the world works, and Graham taught them about the wizarding world, mainly about curses and slight defenses against dark arts. Since they were still young witches and wizards, Graham mainly focused on teaching them how to identify curses and the effects they have on their victims. Verbally, he simplified the methods of how to eliminate some curses and their effects. . Although he mainly focused on what he is good at, Graham did teach his children the basic magical lessons average kids their age would receive from their parents before attending school. From the usage of common magical items to how one day, when it was time, they'd attend a school that would equip them with the proper knowledge of the world and magic.

Despite the fact that both parents prefer to keep their children close to them, there are times when location and job details prevent Fidelia and her siblings from following their parents. When this happens, they are sent to Perth, Scotland where their paternal grandfather lives.

If a home had to be a physical place, this would be it for the children. Perth is also the address that Graham's muggle mail is sent. Fidelia's grandad is a muggle in his early sixties and a man of few words, but he's trying. He used to rely on his wife to show their affection and speak for him, but she passed away a month before Fidelia was born. It was also his wife that dealt with the magical things. Now with three half-blood grandchildren and a pure-blood daughter-in-law, Robert has stepped up a lot.

Multiple times, Robert's three grandchildren are in his guardianship. These visits are the highlight of his senior life. He enjoys how they brighten up his home with their loud voices, energy, and stories about wonder. The children, especially Fidelia, also enjoy these visits.

When Fidelia and her siblings were in Perth when she was eight, her grandad took them to a muggle park to mingle as he played chest with a few neighborhood elders. During this outing, she encountered a group of rowdy muggle children that she witnessed pestering other children unfairly. When they forced Marcelo off his swing, she got involved. Furious, she approached them with the wrath of a fury and began fighting them. She held her own for a bit, but when things didn't look too well, her first instance of magic helped her as she unknowingly called for the water from the fountain nearby. Thankfully, since she was so young and wasn't intentionally using magic, nothing too crazy happened. Instead, the water splashed the group, including herself, soaking them all and stunning them.

As this happened, Marcelo had run off to bring their grandad, and the two witnessed the event. While the muggles of the park believed the fountain had malfunctioned or the water had been redirected, Robert knew what Fidelia had done. When they returned home, he sat down and bandaged her clean up, and the two had a heart-to-heart moment. He informed Fidelia that he was proud of her for standing up for her little brother but that she should also be careful. Her rash actions could've endangered her, not just due to her abilities but because violence isn't always the best choice. Fidelia cried, but their bond was strengthened that day.
