"CLAAAIIIRRR!!! WOOOOOOOO!!!"

Colin came charging into the racing grounds at full speed, his pale blond hair done up in braids and bouncing along with each long stride! His Silver Arrow was thrust into the air like a torch as he ran and he found his place among his fellow Basilisks. The boy could barely contain his excitement for this race and he danced around a bit like an overexcited puppy!

"VALEJUNEPERCEWYATT!! LET'S ROAST SOME CHICKENCLAWS!!"

Slytherin vs Ravenclaw! WHOA! Just like his very first race, last summer in London, he'd be racing against Clair's team. Clair! Oh, that girl was a formidable broom racer and Colin fell in love with her that very day! He'd had such a grand time racing against her team before, and today was sure to be no exception!

"Clair!" Colin made a little beating heart gesture with his fingers. "Good luck Clair! You all will need it!"

Race day, it was about time another race came to be. From the last few races Percival had been itching to get back on a broom again and finally get their house a much deserved win. They had all come close the past few times, it was only a matter of time before that taste of victory finally came their way.

Walking with broom in hand he slowly came to a stop and waited for the race to begin. His eyes were deadly focused and unconaboutrned of the enemy team that posed a threat to them. Today, things were going to be different.

The racers had not even managed to leave the starting line and Slytherin was aiming to kill. All five Slytherin racers aimed at one of the poor Ravenclaw racers. One spell managed to not even be cast, the next Hunter was luckily able to dodge, the last spell he was not as lucky. The poor Ravenclaw was hit with a sneezing hex, unable to dodge fast enough. The other two Slytherin racers had grabbed for the heaviest items around them and attempted to throw them at the same Ravenclaw racer. The first object was dodged easily, the second being a direct hit. That was definitely going to hurt. "What did you do to them?" Logan questioned at the attacks from the snakes.

The racers had easily made it through the first unit, nothing there to stop them, but the second unit seemed to be causing some difficulties for the racers. Most of them made it thought the thorns without issue, zooming through like it was no problem. Three of them managed to get caught on the way through though, a Slytherin and two Ravenclaw racers. They should probably get those wounds looked at after the race. "Today is just not a day for Ravenclaw," Logan stated with a grimace at the now three wounded Ravenclaw students.

All of the Ravenclaw racers and a Slytherin racer made their way into the narrow tunnel ahead of the vines. Something that was not too difficult, but still hard enough for the average person. Clearly today's race had something against Ravenclaw though as three of the five racers did not make it through the passage without taking some form of damage.

It was a chilly morning, so the racers were going to be miserable after making there way through the waterfall. Apparently the water was too strong for one of the racers though as a Ravenclaw dropped into the water at the base of the falls. The chances of them making it out of the race alive at this point seemed slim. But maybe they would be able to pull it off.

Three Ravenclaw racers made their way into the trees on the other side of the waterfall. Maybe they would be able to dry off a bit since they were a bit more covered while in the trees. Apparently the cover was a little too dense as the racers bumped into some of the trees. All that mattered at the moment was that they were alive and ahead, all of them were hurt in one form or another, but they were all still alive.

As Bubba sat, watching on from the stands, he thought things had gotten off to a reasonable start. Everyone had gotten pretty far and they were all ahead of their Slytherin competitors. It hadn't all gone well, however, Bubba had visibly cringed as Harper failed to negotiate the waterfall and been knocked off her broom, hopefully, she was ok.

Meanwhile, his heart was filled with joy as he watched the Slytherin team collectively try to knock Hunter out. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, in Bubba's opinion. Still, he looked in fairly good nick, he'd be fine.

As he watched, Bubba immediately began thinking of ways they could consolidate their advantage and get further ahead. He shouted a few words of encouragement and clapped for the fine start to the race.

The hair on Hunter's skin flared up as he lined himself along the rest. People, being near them made him so paranoid and hesitant at times. His lack of trust, and his paranoid thoughts, honestly paid off a lot more than he was expecting. He couldn't help but feel proud as he avoided at least a majority of Slythryn's onslaught of attacks. He thanked himself for being so afraid, but if anything this event would only further his paranoid reasonings due to confirmation of why he should be afraid.

In fact, why had they all even targeted him in the first place?! Vale he could understand, the supposed sibling rivalry that he overheard many other students talking about. Colin, Hunter still had plans for him but nothing yet. Although the boy was being rather loud about Clair a while ago, perhaps Hunter could find a plan through her. Sheesh, planning to use a housemate as a potential hostage against Colin in the future really showed how little Hunter cared about others. As for the other three Slythryn Hunter had little to no clue about them. Were they potentially friends of Hanako Tone, a Slytherin Hunter poisoned near the end of last year? It was hard to say, but their efforts were going to be in vain. Hunter swiftly dashed through the thorns, being rather immaculate in his movements to avoid the obstacles ahead. He couldn't help but turn back at the lagging snakes and yell: "WAJINGA¹-" before being abruptly interrupted by the freezing cold waterfall; Vale could translate that one for them. He grumbled, reminding himself to keep his cool and pay attention. His teeth began to chatter, and a look of disappointment as he witnessed a fellow Raven fall beneath him.

----Vale was feeling pretty sadistic today. Maybe little more than usual. She casually hummed to herself as she bare witness to her cousin viciously targeted by her team. She would blink only in confusion as she saw one of the birds fall ahead of her, and it wasn't Hunter.
"Wow, and we had nothing to do with that." Vale made a large smile, giggling to herself as she can hear Hunter screaming.

"I feel so alive! I've been waiting for far too long for this day! Our battle will be LEGENDARY!" Vale screamed at the top of her lungs, to the world.

A few bumps and maybe a scratch or two but Clair was still going strong. She shook off some of the wetness that comes with racing under a waterfall at top speed. As she raced forward Clair kept her eyes peeled for any more killer things because she knew there was more to come, and that they would be coming fast.

Nothing was going to stop Bloom right now. She was going to get as far as possible on her big ass tree whether anyone liked it or not. If anything, Bloom was making up for the last race where she came in last. She needed to regain her worth in the game. Her slight competitive nature was coming out and she let it consume her. Grasping on to her Pine Chopper, Bloom leaned forward and continued to fly with as much focus as possible.

Harper was approaching the waterfall with great speed. Her mind flashed back to the last race when she got knocked off her broom at the same obstacle. She took a deep breath and raced forward. Hoping she would not reach the same fate. Yet, only moments later she found herself spiralling towards the ground once again. Broom Racing seemed to get again bring troubles for her. Would these ever end? She would hopefully figure out what was going with that soon.

WHOA!! Now this was broom racing! The race began with brutality! Spells zinged and hard objects flew towards the Ravenclaw team, concentrating effectively on one Hunter Argentum. Vale's cousin and, so Colin was informed, something of a wand happy duelling moderator! Colin had no idea what hit him that day when he and Pax duelled against Avery and David. All he knew was that he awoke in hospital dreaming of a certain Ravenclaw girl!

After the initial volley, both teams zoomed onwards! Colin saw that Ari and Harper, Ravenclaws, had gotten caught up in the thorns with him. While they made it out eventually, Colin was experiencing some difficulty freeing himself from the blood thirsty weeds! He sighed in resignation. Today would be yet another bloody slogfest as the racers careened towards the finish line! Colin just hoped that Clair would okay and that he himself would not be knocked unconscious like last time!
