Minutes ticked by and Cash felt like waiting for Haley to show up for almost an eternity. If Cash ever wears a watch on their wrist, they would look down on the watch ever so often. They know Haley will keep her word and will not stand them up. But the worry gnawed and played a sick joke on the back of their mind.

It was not the first time Cash's date bailed on them at the last minute. But still, Cash will wait for Haley's arrival patiently. While waiting for Haley's arrival, they could hear Glade's voice announcing it is time for dinner. Cash was about to enter the room alone when a far familiar voice called out their name.

When Haley complimented them and called them stunning, Cash beamed. It was rare to see the young Ironwoods smile these days but the third-year Gryffindor managed to do that without so much effort on her side. The green eyes took Haley's sight in. Wearing the same dress and probably the same shoe that she wore on the date she went with their cousin, Cash let out a genuine smile.

"I always thought when you wearing that dress you look like a princess in it, amor"Cash complimented back. "I hope you didn't have to wait too long for me, please excuse me"The redhead said to the Prefect. "It was fine, really. You are worth the wait,"Cash sends a playful wink back. At this point, Haley surely knows that Cash loves to send off a harmless flirt with their friend every now and then.

Haley then leaned her head on their shoulder for a brief affectionate gesture. "I'm so looking forward to tonight with you"The Gryffindor's Chaser added some more. She then stood beside the beater once her head was not against the young socialite's shoulder. "Careful there! One might think there is something going on between you and me,"Cash nudged Haley's rib playfully and let out a small laugh.

Their playful nature with Haley was so genuine and natural. Cash thanks their lucky star that they could call Haley one of their people. "Shall we?"Haley's voice broke Cash's reveries as the younger girl nodded towards the door. "Ohh yes, yes! Silly me"The Cuban descendant said.

When both of them then entered the room arm-in-arm, Cash will look for their place card name and their table. Once Cash found the table, they would pull out the chair for Haley to seat on it. After Haley was down on her own seat, Cash would seat beside her. While enjoying the dinner, Cash's green eyes fleeted toward the photo booth.

"Hey, Hales! How about we took a photo to commemorate this night and to make that boyfriend of yours jealous,"Cash said with mischieve glint in their eyes. "If you rather go dancing first and later on took a picture with me, all fine by me. But if you not up to whatever and wanted to call the night early, I understand. So what do you say, Hales?"They inquired as they chewed down their food.

"I can't see your arrogance anymore. I seduced you with my beauty come on admit it."

She smiled, as did Gabriel. She couldn't let herself down on this one. Okay, it wasn't a good act. But she didn't really regret what she said.

Pandora nodded her head yes. She wasn't good at it, but he couldn't break Gabriel. They started dancing. She felt herself above the clouds while dancing. She couldn't understand how time passed. She had stepped on Gabriel's foot occasionally, and sometimes tripped, but not that much.

When the dance was over, it was as if she could hear the music still going on, but she knew that the music was over. When it was time to eat, Gabriel and he went to the place where the tables were. She sat at the table, controlling herself.

"The tables are beautiful, aren't they?"

It really was. There was a variety of colorful dishes. She had a hard time keeping herself from passing out.

Then she met eyes with the lettuce on the table. Unnoticed, she put it in his little white bag. She tried to grab one of the sushi on the table with a chopstick, but she dropped it on the table.

"Ups. It didn't happen.

"Seduced me? Even I don't know what that means, and I'm very smart." After a moment, he gave an unconvinced smile at Pandora's words. "My arrogance doesn't easily wear off, be warned." He joked, his smile fading as his eyes looked into hers.

He beamed at her agreeance to dance; he was fairly good at it although he hadn't done it for years. He grabbed her hands and pulled her on the dance floor with the others. "If you feel like you can't catch up with my skills, don't worry Dora. I am quite the master." He added mockingly. Moments passed by Gabriel dancing with Pandora, biting his tongue a few times as she stepped on his shoes. Other than that, it was wonderful. He gazed into her eyes, smiling innocently before the announcement of dinner time was announced.

He dropped her hands carefully as the music stopped and looked at everyone going to their tables. "I think ours was table 1..." He said absentmindedly. He couldn't remember and just followed Pandora to a table. "Table 1 yes, I thought so." He added, sitting down after getting his food. He noted the tables, their beautiful decoration and charm. Whoever came up with the decorations were wonderful.

"The work of Baily and Kim I assume. This party really is wonderful." He chattered on, eating in between conversations. He wasn't exactly hungry, but the food was too good to pass up. He watched people around him, then turned his attention back to Pandora just as she fumbled with chopsticks. He snickered into his cup, concealing a smile as if he didn't see anything.

"What's after eating? I can't remember, this night has been far too unpredictable." He said after a moment, continuing to wonder aloud.

Hey guys! Sorry for the tag, but just wanted to say that your characters will still receive the gift bags and gifts from the party, since they were signed up ahead of time.

This also goes for any other people who do not show, and have owled Kim and i at they will not be able to attend for a valid reason.

People all over were chatting, eating and mingling. Bailey smiled around at the room. success!!! I think the ball is a success!!! she thought, feeling a happy glow in her chest.
She and Kim had worked so hard to make it happen, and she was glad to be able to contribute to a bit of the holiday festivies and spirit around the castle.
As people finished up eating, bailey turned to kim. She smiled, and watched him eat for a moment. her eyes not leaving his face, she said "you know, you're really cute when you eat "
Then she continued, asking "do you think we should draw attention to the photo booth now? that and get people dancing, and then the two of us can go make sure everything is perfect for the snow tunnel and gift exchange?
After discussing with Kim for a bit, Bailey stood up. Clinking her spoon onto the rim of her glass, she waited until she had everyone's attention.
Smiling at the room, Bailey said "hello! i hope you all are enjoying your meal, and the party in general! Now that we are finishing up the meal, we have just a few small hours left together. Now that dinner is practically over, feel free to remain sitting and chatting, or you can take to the dance floor again. The desserts are open for all, so feel free to snack on those as well.
Kim and i have also set up a photo booth -" here bailey indicated where they had set up the little photo booth.
"you can take your picture with friends or your date, or by yourself. We also have a few options on how to receive them and such. Kim and i can keep your pictures until you return from the holiday, or owl them to you while you're gone, or find you tommorow to hand them out. You have the option to keep your photos still, or Kim and i can activate them for you, or you can activate them yourselves! we also are giving you the option for us to add your photos by way of a piece of spellotape to a piece of firm parchment, so that they don't bend or crease. There are pieces of parchment for you to write what you want done with your photos on, and envelopes for you to put your parchment and the photo in if you would like us to do anything with them. Please make sure you include your name so we can give the correct pictures to the correct owners!!! Also, there is a bin for you to put your envelopes in, please do not leave them all over for us. thank you!! and enjoy!"
with all of this said, bailey turned to kim and asked "shall we go make sure everything is ready for the snow tunnel and such? or do you want me to stay, and you can have a minutes of quiet while making sure everything is ready?"

Instructions:

step one: write your entrance! We have lots planned, and set up!
step two: interact with other players! Please add on the top or bottom of your post if you are open or closed to interactions.
step three: enjoy and food and drinks and dance. There will be snacks and light drinks from 1 PM to 3:30 PM, and the dance floor will be open the entire time, with music provided.
step four: Dinner! Dinner will be served at 4 PM, or after the second or third mod post. On our posts, Kim and I will include announcements for dinner, and there are seating arrangement. I will include a floor plan, with your seating arrangement, in both a group owl, attachment on my post, and in the sign up thread.
Step five: picture booth! This is when attention will be drawn to the picture booth and more detailed instructions will be given at this time.
Step six: snow tunnel/gift exchange! The last part of the BaiKim Bash. You will go through the snow tunnel either by crawling through it to get a snowy icy experience, or by walking through it. When you emerge on the other side, there will be an area set up for you to do private/public gift exchanges. This is a time where if you've bought gifts for each other, you can do the exchange there. If you didn't, you'll be presented with a small gift from BaiKim instead. More details will be provided at this time IC.

"Tonight I will be your princess." Haley giggled and replied to Cash's compliment. It was the first sentences and Haley already knew the evening was going to be perfect. Actually, she knew it even before that. The little time she spent with her friend Cash was always quality time. A time that Haley treasured and it actually happened far too infrequently. Haley couldn't help but laugh shaking her head, here and there the similarities between Cash and their cousin were startling, they both definitely knew how to flirt.

"And what if they think it." Haley blinked at Cash with a half smirk. The idea that there would soon be a rumour that Cash and Haley were dating struck the redhead as more than amusing. "I mean, if I was single..." she winked at Cash and started laughing loudly and heartily as the two walked through the large door and finally entered the room. They found their seats, sat down and enjoyed dinner. Here and there Haley smiled at familiar faces, took a bite and chatted with her Slytherin friend about this and that.

"That Idea is great!" Haley returned the Mischieve look and stood up from her chair. "If you please?" She held out her hand to Cash, waiting for them to take it and Haley would lead them in quick steps to the photo booth. "This is going to be so fun!" beamed the Gryffindor girl. Haley pushed Cash in front of her into the booth before she squeezed in as well. "Okay, you ready?" she asked with a smile, "Verona will surely love the pictures" With those words she looked at the camera and her laughter filled the surroundings. For the next picture she stuck her tongue out, wrinkled her nose and grimaced, for the last picture Haley carefully squeezed Cash's cheeks with one hand and formed a kissy mouth as if she was about to give them a kiss on the cheek. "I could take a hundred more pictures with you." She laughed again as she moved back out of the booth.

"Is the offer to dance still on the table?" she asked afterwards and depending on Cash's decision, Haley would take them to the dance floor or do whatever Cash felt like doing.

Colin had been feeling down and isolated all week. And the depression was only deepening as Christmas approached. It would be his first Christmas without Liam. Half of his heart was torn away and he wondered how he would get through it all. As he got dressed, Colin looked at himself in the mirror. The crisp white shirt and silvery kilt covered most of his scars. Only the slash over his left eye and cheek and the raking claw marks on his right shin were presently visible. Colin undid a couple of buttons of his shirt, revealing a tiny bit of the claw raking over his breastbone.

He smirked in spite of his depressed spirits. His skin was pale, and so was his platinum blond hair. He'd done that up in garish number of random braids with loose ends, though one of them, the one with the two raven feathers attached to the end, was always neatly done. Colin thought he rather looked like a snowman. The only non-white colour on him, really, were his pond scum green eyes and the Ravenclaw blue sash he tied around his waist. Everything else from the top of his head to the ends of his bare toes was pale.

Colin smiled. He liked the look of it!

He slipped his wolf fang necklace over his neck, made sure his wand was tucked into its sheath wrapped around his right arm and headed out of Regulus Dorm. The sadness crashed down again as he climbed up all seven hundred thousand four hundred ninety nine steps that brought him up from the deep dungeons and out through the Portal of Doom into Hogwarts main level. He knew he was late to Kim's party.

Very late.

Colin hadn't seen much of Kim lately. Well, at all this year. That weighed heavily on him. After Moira's wedding in July, they'd spent a lot of time together, and had become quite close. But thereafter, Kim went off to summer camp with Sophia and then there was the werewolf attack and Liam died and Colin kind of lost track of his old friend.

And then Sophia disappeared.

Without a trace.

She wasn't the first of Colin's friends to disappear, but her disappearance hit the hardest. Ever since the fall ball, Colin had wondered if Kim knew what happened to Sophia. He was also pretty curious about this whole --- phenomenon --- that was Bailey and Kim. He'd been hearing rumours and whispers about Kim and Bailey dating for a while now. As Colin approached the ballroom, he considered his friend's relationships. Colin himself had always figured Kim was into Sophia. And it made sense! Ravenclaw girls were hot after all! And wasn't Colin himself all into Jarael last year? And now his heart had chosen Clair!

Ever since they first met, Colin had always considered Bailey a friend. But she really was quite attractive, and he'd often wondered why there weren't whole queues of lads just fighting to attract her attention! And then Kim just appears at her side. There just had to be something to the stories and rumours! And it wasn't a whole lot different with Clair. Clair Fernandez was gorgeous and intelligent! What lad wouldn't kill for a date with her? And yet, with the exception of that Eddy Dorkasaurus last summer, she seemed to just fly above the attentions of mere boys!

Colin let out a quick puff of breath.

He pushed the door open and slipped into the beautifully decorated ballroom. His eyes found Kim and Bailey immediately. Bailey, of course, looked beautiful, the very queen of the ball! While Kim --- Colin's eyes settled on his friend and lingered there for a while. Kim had not looked quite right since the fall ball, and Colin thought he looked rather worse now. For all the sadness Colin was feeling, seeing his friend appear so down really pierced his heart. He felt that seeing Kim at an event like this just wouldn't do. They'd have to find themselves together at some point, without all the distractions.

There seemed to be a lot going on, and people were all in small groups chatting happily or participating in one of the activities Bailey and Kim had planned. Colin felt so out of place. Even though there were people he knew there, Colin found a quiet corner to settle into.

The more Aida explained why they thought he seemed like a trapped animal, the more Jack thought about it. Was he really living how he wanted? He wasn't sure. What did he want? He didn't want to be lonely, but keeping away from people and only making enemies seemed to cause just that. Maybe Aida was right and there was something more he needed that he wasn't getting. Perhaps there was something Aida needed, too. And maybe they could help each other get whatever it was they needed. He nodded thoughtfully in agreement when they mentioned they thought he was right in saying it was good that they found each other.

Amused by Aida's half-smile and giggle, Jack thought they must really have been eager to have that duel. Unfortunately, as he did not have a sixth sense like the white wix did, he was oblivious to the fact that they wished he would take out his wand for them to examine. Instead, his focus was caught entirely by the fact that Aida suddenly took his arm and began to lightly tug him toward the place one of their hosts had suggested they have their duel. Aida certainly didn't seem shy when it came to touching people.

He noted the wix's address of their host as 'Kim' and made a mental note of this, also checking to see if they would be corrected or not. He wasn't sure if that was really Kim, after all. The green-haired boy confirmed that he was one of the two hosts - the one that wasn't Bailey which meant, of course, that he had to be Kim. Supposedly he wasn't the 'main' one, though.

Kim stated he would 'leave it to Aida for now' and that he would return after he took care of some things if they were still going. He also asked them not to go overboard before leaving with Bailey and another kid. When Aida asked Jack if he trusted them, he blinked, trying to understand what they meant by that before nodding quickly. "What? Oh - right! Yes, I trust you! And yeah...definitely more fun than food," he added with a sheepish smile, feeling bad for having hesitated. He hoped they didn't think he had done so because he didn't really trust them. "Yes, I want to! By the way, you can call me Burnett if you like. Most everyone else does."

He followed Aida out of the way of the other people even as the food was revealed, and people went to go fill up their plates. Looking at the Ravenclaw, he finally withdrew his wand and asked a little helplessly, "So...how do we do this?"
