I agree with you about your parents pestering you to do something. When my mum, me and my sister moved to Dublin, I needed something to do but I didn’t want to play with any of the neighborhood muggle characters. Mum basically forced me to play with one of them and I actually became friends with them. She eventually got me in to hockey, and I guess the rest is history.
Glad you have decided to join the club. We have needed more members. Because, well, the more the merrier.
Agreed. I’ve always hated pink no matter what.
So… what else do you like to do for fun?

Dear Charlie,
Yeah, my mum's always been very sociable and so she sort of expects me to be the same way. Let's just say I'm nothing like my mother. I mean, I know I probably should follow her advice, at least a little bit, because the logical part of me agrees with her a little bit, but the antisocial part of me very strongly disagrees.
Well, I've mentioned that my mum taught me piano, and playing always gives me a sense of stress relief and relaxation. I like to write and draw, too. I make up different characters in my head and draw or write them out. I think when I'm older I might like to be a novelist or a creative writer, which is a lot different from my brothers, who both want to be Aurors.
What about you? What else do you like, besides play hockey and the drums?

I hear you on that. My mum pressured me for a while, but she finally stopped.
That’s cool. I can’t draw to save my life. I mean I could, but a while back with my friends we we playing Pictionary, a muggle game, and you have to draw something and the other person has to guess it. I was trying to draw a chicken, but my friends kept thinking it was an ice cream cone. That’s about how good I am at art.
I’m alright at writing I guess, but I don’t really just write for fun. Lately I’ve been finding myself in the library more and more. I think all the stereotypical Ravenclaws are rubbing off on me! Slightly worried about that, honestly.
I don’t really have any other major interests, I mean walking outside when the sun is gone is always nice.

Oof, yeah, hear you on that. I fear the day that I feel like a stereotypical Gryffindor. Just bury me immediately at that point, because I did not want to be a Gryffindor.
I love walking when it's dark/getting dark. It's usually cooler, and quite peaceful. I also love fall/winter weather in general. It's so satisfying how the weather cools and... I don't know, I can't really explain it. Maybe it's because spring and summer just seem so upbeat and that's just... not me.
What about you? also a fan of fall/winter?

Exactly. I didn’t want to be a Ravenclaw, I thought I was more of a Hufflepuff and maybe Gryffindor. And don’t worry, if you become a stereotypical lion lemme know and I’ll take care of it for you.
I only like walking at night, cause well it doesn’t hurt my skin for once. Very pleasing to me. I also enjoy the cool weather. And yes, I’m also a fan of fall/ winter cause the sun is way less strong. Very pleasing to me.

Haha, glad to know you're on my side. I don't exactly get on with the other Gryffindors, so the moment I turn into one of them I'll be terrified.
Yeah, mostly. I've been considering he/they, but I honestly don't know. All I really know is I don't relate with my mum or sister, as everyone expects me to, and I also don't entirely relate with my brothers.
Gender is weird to say the least. Kind of an unnecessary concept, if you ask me. We're all beings, details shouldn't matter so much. It's not something I've ever really brought up with my family, since I don't really know how they would take it. But it's not something I really go to lengths to really hide here at Hogwarts, so it'd be really easy for them (especially my brothers) to find out.
I kind of decided to let people make what assumptions they will about me, and if anything gets back to my family then that's not really my fault. I mean, I've always sort of dressed like a "tom" boy.
What about you? Charlie is a fairly androgynous name, and I just realized I've no clue about yours.

Thats good to know. It is very hard to meet some one and know them for a while with a certain set of pronouns and then they just decided to switch. It takes a while to get used to and forgive me if I talk to you with the wrong pronouns.
As for me, well I use she/her which is what I was born as. My real name is Charlotte but my dad chose that, and Charlie fits me way better.
I also dress very ‘tom boy-ish’ but only because I hate dresses and fancy shirts of all sorts. The one time I wore nice pants red juice was accidentally spilled all over them. They were white and now are pink.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying! I rarely wear dresses or skirts, and if I do it's definitely something to be documented because I otherwise wouldn't be caught dead in one. My mum's pressuring me on going to balls and all that because my brothers wrote home telling her all about the various balls that go on here and she's absolutely ecstatic about me going and sending her photos.
She's already trying to plan every single outfit for every ball, with a pinterest board for each. I wish I was making this up, honestly. It's all frilly dresses and makeup, and while I'm not against the latter, I'd rather dress in a pantsuit or something else not involving looking like a Disney princess.
And then there's the fact that Mum'll be expecting me to have dates to these ridiculous events, and that's another, totallly laughable, matter on its own. I'm not exactly a people person, so the fact that my mum's thinking I'm going to find people to go to balls with is very ironic.
What about you? Any expectations or hopes that your parents have for you this year that are just simply not going to happen?

My mum sent a few dresses in my trunk with me, and I have actually worn them. Don’t tell my mum though, she would actually be proud of me. I mean, she is proud of me, but sometimes she wishes I would do things differently.
I’m actually thinking about asking a guy to the ball, but I don’t like him, at all. I just wanna know what its like.
My mum has actually cooled off about this stuff, letting me be more and more independent.
