Dear Mom and Dad, Monday, January 16, 2023
This is the first letter of the new year! Can you believe it’s 2023 already? I miss you more than I expected. How is Socks? I attached a plush I made of her to the letter. Before you ask me about my friends, I don’t have any. I did have one, but she’s currently in the Hospital Wing. Oh, and I did receive the chocolates you sent me for Christmas. They were really tasty, thank you. I have to go now, class starts soon. I’ll owl you later.

I just got back from class. I wish I could see you again. I understand that I couldn’t come home for Christmas because you were at Aunty’s place, but that doesn’t stop the fact that I miss you. I have one friend, and she’s been in the hospital wing all month! Although I will admit, it’s quite nice to have multiple professors. instead of just one of you each day. I especially like my Defense Against the Dark Arts class. I can’t wait to see you guys, but I don’t know what to say, so it’s goodbye for now.

Owling you earlier because I made a friend! I didn’t tell you about Thorn, because she got sent to the hospital… but I made a new one! Her name is Irina Sousa, and she’s my age, and in Slytherin! We made cookies and s’mores together! And don’t complain about me hanging out with so many girls, I’m gaythere is… something I’ll tell you in June! Anyways, I’m attaching a Portrait of Mum! Next time I’ll send one of Pa, but I didn’t have the time.
