Gimme Gimme Gimme (The Journey To Hogwarts)
The boy looked around. He wasn't too pleased with what he saw. His dads were there to help guide Clark to the Express- and admittedly- it wasn't something Clark has ever done before. After all, he was a first year!
A quiet moan, and Clark realized that he had a guilty feeling in his guts and he couldn't comprehend why.
As Clark was walked towards the Column of Platform 9 3/4, his dads addressed him, giving him a brisk hug. "Don't get into any trouble Clark." Octavius deemed to his son.
Clark only looked back at his dad, before turning to look at his other dad. "Please don't change my room any more than it needs to be- and I'll try to keep in contact with you- make sure to send Mercury to the school if you have something to send- or if needed- attatch the letter to the owls at the school if they have them- I would assume the mudblood- oh- oh NO NO not that no! I mean- muggleborns!"
His eyes went wide with fear- the thoughts jumbled in his head as he realized what he said. He shouldn't have said what he said- and it was awfully dreadful. As a matter of fact, it would probably be the worst thing Clark might come across in his journey to Hogwarts.
Rumors of the Magical School only thrived to make the school sound more thrilling than it probably was. After all, you can stretch the truth too much.

Gimme Gimme Gimme (The Journey To Hogwarts)
After three long hours on the train ride to King's Cross Station, Meris was fidgety and irritable, not a pleasant combination by any means. Already she missed her family and most of all she missed Owena. She wasn't even mad about the room of sand she had to clean up anymore, in fact she wished she was back in the house being scolded for something she certainly played no part in if only to be with her siblings again.
She felt scared and a little lost as she looked at her train ticket. Platform nine and three-quarters? What were they playing at? How could there be a platform between nine and ten? She'd never even seen one before. But that is what the ticket said so she found her trunk and loaded it onto a cart and started shoving it toward the platform where nine and ten met.
She gives her cart a hefty push toward platform nine. It goes flying forward and narrowly misses another kid who seems to be speaking to his family. She hears him speaking but, in a rush to rescue her wandering luggage, runs right past. As she pulls it to a stop the wheels scuff the pavement and make a bit of a grinding noise and stops just short of running into a little old lady. Then she pauses, turns around and stares at the boy.
“What the heck is a mud-blood?” she says under her breath.

A step back, his eyes still wide in shock and fear.
But that- mess... the mudblood mess... wasn't exactly the worst of his worries right now. Normally he would've turned around and mocked the victim- but since his dads were around- he couldn't do so. He promised he would behave.
After all, magic was a privilege.
He saw a cart rush past him. He desperately wished the cart had capsized and the objects on the cart had flown all over- even on the track- but he couldn't wish that. No. Not when his dads were around.
The girl wasn't that far from Clark, when the cart braked to a stop forcefully- when he overheard the girl quietly pronouncing the words "Mudblood".
"Do you not know what a mudblood is? It's a bad word. It is saying that a muggleborn is not pure- that their blood is contaminated and dirty." Clark replied- but his fathers didn't seem to hear what he said.
Thankfully, Clark was able to get away with this. Ah, maybe he should try to get to know the girl a little longer.
"Ah, whats your name? I'm Clark William Baird-Carter, and I am from a family of five. How about you? Anything I should know?"

Meris gazes at the boy for a moment, as if she were making up her mind how to respond. After a pause, she speaks, “Interesting term, sounds like what we call an insult in my house. I’m guessing its not used in polite society. We’d probably say something like ‘Drewgi’ instead. It’s a word for someone we don’t particularly like. We’ll I probably wouldn’t say it, my parents would definitely not approve and I’d end up doing some awful chore for saying something so mean.”
Meris glances at the men near the boy, “I’m guessing yours don’t really care?”
Meris fusses a little with the cart. She checks to see that all her stuff is still on it and then she pulls a paper out of her pocket. After looking at the ticket crumpled in her hand she offers, “this says I’m supposed to go to platform nine and three-quarters. Would you know where that is? I’ve never seen a platform with a fraction attached to it before.” She pauses, then continues, “not that I would, we never travel anywhere. This is my first time away from home. I tried once to go to a camp but it did not go so well and my parents had to come get me after just one day.”
After another brief pause she also asks, “I don’t suppose you’ve ever seen an Ant Of Unusual Size?”
*OOC: Drewgi means smelly dog, it is a Welsh insult

"Oh, they care." He said, looked back and forth between the girl and his parents. "But I don't think I want any more soap in my mouth... I have already been hit with scourgify this morning just because I cussed at my older brother- and admittedly I shouldn't have done that. It was probably the worst thing I've done... today."
He didn't want to put any emphasis on the fact that he had misbehaved in the past- but not to the level of destruction- so that was probably a bonus.
He looked back at her wanting to know what Drewgi could be used for and in what situation. But he didn't ask. Instead his mind was taken captive by yet another part of her questioning. His dads answered for him- pointing Meris to the third column between 9 and 10.
"Ah yeah, what they pointed at perhaps. I'd take their help, as I've never been to Platform 9 3/4 before. I don't travel anywhere either, don't worry, you're not alone."
He extended out his hand, just to try and comfort her. "I'm also a part goblin."
Whether that was relevant or not, he didn't care.
"Ants of Unusual sizes?" He muttered. "Were you- talking about me?"

Gimme Gimme Gimme (The Journey To Hogwarts)
An incredulous look arrives on Meris face at the comment of soap in mouth, “How… barbaric!” She says, not in a louder tone but in a tone that shows her disdain for the behavior. “I suppose we’ve all done worse than a few colorful words added to our vocabulary.” She grimaces then turns to the column that the men were pointing toward.
“So, I just stand next to the column and a train shows up for me? Seems kind of an odd way to wait for a train but I suppose, if my ticket says it, I have to do it.
She turns back to Clark, and she giggles. “My parents say I’m part chameleon. What did you do to make your parents think your part goblin? I’m rather good at remaining undetected. I’ve been working on making my room have a hidden part of it in plain sight. I’ve been using mirrors but I’ve not quite mastered it yet.”
“Have you seen any? I found one in the forest near my house… well, I was trying to draw an ant and it seemed to expand- the ant not the drawing. I thought that maybe my eyes were deceived. But the wizard that brought my Hogwarts Letter says there really was a large ant. I guess someone from a magical animals’ team of some kind had to go get it.” Meris offered softly.

His hand still extended out, he slowly withdrew it from it's original position. He whispered softly. "I just love Freddie Mercury."
He took a calm breath and took a step forward, approaching the girl and stared at her, almost looking like there was a huge size gap between the two.
He wanted to reply back to the girl for claiming the barbaric-thought because he always thought it was funny when he could just say a cuss word and blame it on one of his older brothers- when in return they would get soap- in the mouth.
"Uh- well... you know what, I'll go with you through the column, I did have to watch my older brothers do this once." He got distracted for a moment, and will likely return to the column question soon? maybe.
Part Chameleon? WHAT? "What are you talking about- ooo that's a cool trick, I have to admit, I've never seen the use of mirrors before for a method of illusion. Is that what muggles do?" His expression demonstrated bewilderment, and complete lack of confusion.
"Ah, well, the reason for why they think I'm a part goblin- is because I'm a part goblin. My dad is a quarter part goblin, meaning their father was a half goblin. But I was adopted. My part goblin father married before getting a divorce, and the result of such a marriage was me. This was when I found I have new brothers."
He smiled, "Anyways, shall we get on the train now? Come on now, follow me." He grinned, leading the way to the pilliar and walked through, feeling happier by the minute. This was only his first time doing such a magical and intriguing thing and it was amazing.

Gimme Gimme Gimme (The Journey To Hogwarts)
Meris, finally noticing the extended hand which he is now pulling back, reaches hers out enthusiastically offering it to him and takes an accommodating step forward leaving enough room for him to continue to pull back if he desires. She smiles, bringing out her the ruddiness in her cheeks and her piercing blue eyes.
“Freddie Mercury, who or what is that?” Then when he said about walking through the column she said, “Wait, you walk through it? How ingenious! How did they manage that?”
In reply to his question about mirrors and muggles she, offered, “I can show you my diagram on the train. I found it on the internet when I was researching how to make visible things hidden in plain sight.”
In reply to his comment about being a goblin she said, “Really?! That is so cool. I studied about goblins at school once. In folklore it’s a type of fairy who is supposed to be ugly and naughty. It can’t be right though because you are rather nice to look at.” A slightly rosy color covers her face after she realizes what she’s said.
(If he’s let her take his hand she lets go at this point.)
Meris steps back to her cart and follows him through the column with a look of absolute delight when they pass through it. She even squeals.
