Charlotte Flamesong {} Ravenclaw {} First Year

Charlotte was born May 6th, 2011, to Martin and Melody Flamesong. She was born in New Madrid, Missouri. She spent her first 8 years in New Madrid. Her father, a muggle, was a chef in a local restaurant, while her mother, a witch, was a Stay at Home Mom. When she was two, her mother gave birth to Marella and Matthew Flamesong, her twin younger siblings. Charlotte lived a relatively normal Muggle life, taking Piano lessons since age 4, and making a few friends at the public school nearby. From the start, Charlotte was always very creative and smart, and eager to learn. But she also kept to herself quite a bit and constantly daydreamed about the next story she was going to write or the next song she was going to sing, which earned her some light teasing from peers. When she was 8, Martin got a better job in England, where they moved. Charlotte wasn't that affected by the move, until she started public school, alongside her two siblings. Charlotte kept in touch with her friends down in Missouri via letter but still set out to make new friends at her public school. Charlotte faced difficulty, however, when kids began teasing her for her accent. Then, she started to become more solitary, more distrusting and kept to herself more. When Charlotte was 9, she had her first instance of magic outside, working with her mother. She was helping tend to the garden, when she needed a shovel. She accedently made it float over to herself. At first, Charlotte freaked out, not knowing what was going on. Her mother, on the other hand was very excited. Then she learned the truth. She was a witch. Charlotte's dad had always shot down the idea of magic, and oftentimes called anyone who believed in it, or "performed it" crazy lunatics. However, Charlotte's mother was still very much in love with her husband and didn't find his stance on magic until after they were married, and she hinted at the idea of magic. Now she is scared to tell him, because she's worried he will leave her, and Melody does not want that for her or her children. In order to hid the little magically accedents that have happen every once in a while, her mother would make up small lies, such as, "It was the wind," or "You must have just imagined it." Charlotte agreed to keep it a secret, mostly because she doesn't want her father to walk out on her and her twin siblings. Charlotte was excited, yet also nervous to start at Hogwarts. Towards the end of the school year at her public school, she told her two best and only friends that she was moving to a private boarding school, and couldn't tell them where it was. One of her friends, Jaden, immediately accused her of thinking she was better then everyone else by getting to go to some rich, private school, and told Charlotte that if she was to swap schools, the friendship was over. Meanwhile, the other friend, Rylee, accepted the move, yet was still disappointed. Charlotte left for Hogwarts, feeling betrayed by Jaden, and still isn't quite over the end of the friendship.
