A Turning Point Solo Closed

Asher wasn't feeling good. He had just gotten his mom's 'urgent' letter, he was apparently going to spend the summer with his 'Uncle', Gilbert Albatross, his mother's brother. Asher never met any of his relatives from his mother's side of the family, they had cut all contact with his mother after she married his father, a muggle, Asher never openly despised them, since his mother for some unknown reason still considers them 'family', infact she would often wish that they would see the error of their ways and that they could be a family again.

The reason Asher was supposed to stay with his Uncle during the summer between his first and second years at Hogwarts was simple, because his mom's family were a piece of sh-ahem, because they are old timers who have nothing better to do than have family feuds. The Albatross family is a Pure-blooded Wizarding family that goes back many generations, and they are wealthy, very wealthy and with the death of it's current head (Asher's grandfather) the money was to be divided among his children. However they are all greedy and since Asher's grandfather never divided his money over his children in his will it caused many of the family members to try and claim the inheritance all to themselves, which caused it to be almost completely divided, now where does Asher fit into all of this? Simple, his grandfather had excluded two of his children from being able to claim the inheritance, Asher's mum since she was banished, and her younger brother, Gilbert, because they were at odds. His Uncle had sent a letter to Asher's mom apologizing in it about all the things they did and saying that he has a plan to 'reunite' the family again, Asher didn't believe a word of it, but his mother did.

His uncle was going to train him and teach him what he needs to know to become a better wizard and a 'proper' heir to the Albatross. It was a painfully obvious plan to use Asher so he could reach the inheritance, he didn’t have children who could become eligible for taking the money and obviously his other nieces and nephews will help their own parents to claim the inheritance. The worst part is that it seems like his mother's feelings had clouded her judgment, his Uncle wants to use Asher, either to manipulate Asher or claim the inheritance on behalf of Asher since he was still underage, yet his mother couldn't see past his vane promises of their 'family' being back.

Asher pinched the bridge of his nose because of the headache that was forming, he was overthinking. This won't happen if he just says no to his mother, they won't force him to do something agaisnt his will, so he hopes that this would be enough to avoid this problem. He still had money questions that needed answers. But for now, he needs some alone time.
