Word to My Mother Solo

Dear momma,

Words cannot do justice in describing how much I miss you, home, and my babydog Sanka. I guess I miss Duncan and Finlay too, but don't tell them I said that. They would never live it down haha ~

Anywho, Hogwarts is everything you said and more. Magical is an understatement; and you wouldn't believe what house I was sorted into. Not Gryffindor like you, not Hufflepuff...but Slytherin! I wouldn't have guessed that in my whole life that this would be my House. But don't worry, I won't get mixed up in the wrong crowd, I promise.

I know what you've said about Slytherin and their love for a good scandal, but I think that it's all gossip. I haven't met many people from Slytherin, but so far I've met two girls Adya and Amy and they're both very kind and confident witches.
I did meet a girl named Vera on the train ride here too, but I believe she was sorted into Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff..my memory escapes me with how many students I watched get sorted today.

I've passed by Arron, too, but he hasn't said anything or blinked in my direction. He looks like he has it made here with lots of friends, sports and natural precision behind his spells. I rarely see him smile back home, but here it seems his smile never fades. I don't know if you could possibly relay to him in your letters that I miss my big brother.

If my friends come by the house asking for me, can you lie and say I'm at an academy or something? Maybe you can tell them they can write to me, and possibly include their letters with yours when you owl me back? I know they're not witches or wizards, but I'd love to stay in touch with them without revealing our true nature. Please momma?

That's all I got for you considering its the first day. I'll write you as often as possible. I love you, and give my love to Sansan too.
