Reducio Before Taizu was born, his parents lived in Japan, his father going to the Japanese magic school Mahoutokoro and graduating in 2001. He came from a prestigious magic family from Japan, notorious for its pure blooded descendants. When they realized his love for muggles, they disowned him from the family tree and blotted him out of their family history, where he promptly fled to China. Meeting Taizu's mother after leaving the school, he fell in love with her and began to work hard, earning her parent's blessing to marry two years later, despite being Japanese and her being Chinese. After marrying, he kept his magic secret and recommended moving to London, where he would be able to make a much better profit than in China, where they currently lived. They agreed, and in the summer of 2005, they moved to England. Four years later, Taizu was born, and his parents were joyful. They named him Taizu, and his name meant Tides, because his parents said that both good and bad luck would follow him like the tides follow the moon. This has unfortunately come true a number of times in his life, where he would have really good luck, and then immediately afterwards have horrible luck. It has always made him nervous of days when unexpected good things happened, because usually bad things would happen afterwards. For instance, when he was four, he found a really shiny rock, and less than two hours later, he tripped and broke his wrist, though his father was quick to mend it so his mother didn't know. This has happened several times throughout his life, and every time he gets a form of good luck, he expects something bad to happen. Growing up in his childhood, he only had one true friend, whose name was Michael. The two met on the first day of kindergarten, with Michael coming up to nervous Taizu and becoming his friend. The two were inseparable from that point on, and would refuse to be separated at all costs, even trying to stay over as much as possible. Eventually though, the two had their first disagreement, which led to the two yelling at the other for a short time, before Michael threw a rock at Taizu, hitting his hand and drawing blood. At the sight of the blood, Michael began crying about how mean he had been and how he would never do it again. The two began to hug and cry while Michael's mother came over and got a band-aid for Taizu's hand. Returning home from the incident, Taizu's father saw the cut on his hand and tried to heal it. However, Taizu didn't want his dad to do any magic to fix his scrape, saying that it was an important thing. His father told him not to be silly, and once again tried to fix it, this time with Taizu yelling at his dad to stop, having his first ever instance of magic by making his father's wand float just out of reach of his jumping. His mother came in to see what was happening, only to gape in shock at the floating wand. Shortly afterwards, Taizu's father explained that he was a wizard, and that he had come from a pureblood family that hated muggles. His wife berated him for not telling her earlier about this, and he apologized. The two accepted this while Taizu continued to look up at the floating wand in wonder. After explaining to Taizu that he was a wizard, he lived his life in the same way as before, hanging out with his friend and taking care of the other, though it would usually wind up with Taizu being defended by Michael. While the two weren't bullied, the two were still not liked, so they just stuck together. This general dislike of Taizu made him start to be scared to talk to people on the fear that he would hate him, which has followed him to Hogwarts. While Taizu did tell his friend that he was going to get stronger to take care of Michael more often, he did not tell him that he was going to learn to do magic. Even so, Taizu owls his friend every week, and Michael always responds back to him. Going into his second year of Hogwarts, Taizu had spent the entire summer with his friend Michael, where he told him that he could do magic. Michael doubted him for a little bit, but believed him because of the close friendship the two had. In terms of his other side of the family, the entire family functions effectively like Yakuza. The eldest living son is in charge after the death of the father, and the other children are groomed to be followers under the Oyabun, or Yakuza boss. Taizu's father was the firstborn, but when he left, his younger and crueler brother became the Oyabun. Taizu currently is of equal age to the current heir of the Yakuza, but is unaware of their existence. Reducio Taizu is approximately 4'5" tall, which is below average for his age. He is of Asian descent, as his parents were born in Japan. He weighs about 91 lbs, and is of a slender build for his age, having never well and truly done any strenuous activity other than be a kid. He has medium long black hair for a boy. Something unusual for a child of a wizard is the scar he has on the back of his hand, which he refused to let his wizard father magically heal. the scar came from an incident where a friend threw a rock at him in anger, hitting his hand. the two became closer friends because of it, and Taizu keeps the scar because it reminds him of his friend when he is alone. There is also the fact of how his friend is a muggle and would notice if the wound mysteriously disappeared, but only his father thought of that. Another notable feature popped up in Taizu's first year of Hogwarts, where he got his father to magically dye one of his eyes yellow because he liked the color contrast. Reducio Taizu is a hard worker, having a high work ethic, and always tries his hardest, even if he isn't the best in a subject. One of the strange things about him is his meticulous planning for what he will do for months ahead in time, and is ready to adjust it in a moments notice if something unexpected comes up. His planning has made his parents confused but proud of him. His biggest drawback with this is that he is constantly worried about what other people think of him, and he often nervously insults himself for something he said in Japanese, due to how few people can understand him. He has also developed a severe stutter when he is nervous, but this easily vanishes when he is among people he considers friends and trusts.
