I'm so sorry that this is so late!
I've been super busy for the last couple of weeks. It's also really bad and lacking detail so I apologize in advance for the mess you are about to read.

Cecily planted her feet firmly in the snow as she let go of the statue. She had never traveled by portkey before, but now on the spot decided that it was by far not one of her favorite methods of transportation. Too much spinning.
Cecily ducked inside the tent behind the stream of other students, but soon broke off to find her room and explore the insane magical tent-mansion-castle thing.
Ducking through a partition with her name on it, she stashed her bag at the foot of her bed, removing a smaller drawstring bag from her duffle bag. She filled it with quills, parchment, and a book, and hefted it onto her shoulder. About to leave her room, the girl turned back at the last minute to change into something more suitable for the weather. She replaced her sneakers with boots, and threw on leggings and a long-sleeved shirt. Hey, no one said she had to be fashionable.
Exiting the room, Cecily followed voices to what seemed like a sort of common room. Here, she finally took a second to take in the extravagant, lavish decorations. It was incredible that something such as this could fit inside of a tiny, triangular swatch of fabric that the tent appeared to be from the outside.
Her wonderings were interrupted by a friendly face-- Ami bounded up, outgoing as ever.
"Ready as I'll ever be," Cecily responded at the end of Ami's barrage of questions. Cecily still thought it was too early in the morning for all of this, but there wasn't much she could do about it.
Hearing Professor Henley start speaking, the buzz of the room died down to listen to what she was saying. Cecily listened to the end before she turned to Ami to ask if the Hufflepuff's wanted to partner with her.

ALPHEUS exited his area of the tent, stretching in the suit, as some bones cracked. Within the personal space, through the tent flap, could be seen several objects all lined up on a table. One was the portkey used to arrive at the current location, so discerning individuals could probably guess what the other things were, too.
"Sorry about the wait, wiz-kids," Alpheus said as he looked around, smiling. He glanced to Violet. "Had to prepare some final touches on the last portkey, but it's all set now and we are ready to venture out toward knowledge!"
With a motion of his hand, the Professor rallied the students to follow, and began leaving the tent with the group in tow. By now, most had changed or gotten ready, and it was time to start walking toward the ancient site of the cave city. It was a lovely piece of - supposed - Muggle history, and Alpheus couldn't wait to show the students the neat surprise hidden within...
"Shouldn't be a long walk, only about an hour. Let's go!"
Later; Midday
The group crested the final portion of the walk, and were greeted with the parking area for Muggle automobobles. Dozens of tourist Muggles wandered around, all taking in the grand city in the hillside, with numerous people on various walking levels. It was a literal honeycomb of hallways, doors and windows, with balconies that overlooked the mountain ranges and nearby river.
"So, I guess it's time for some history, huh?" Alpheus said, looking back to the students. "According to Muggles, Vardzia is a cave monastery site in southern Georgia, excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain on the left bank of the Kura River, thirty kilometres from Aspindza."
The Professor pointed in the direction of the mentioned city, as well as the river below. He continued, leading the group toward the entrance of the cave city.
"The supposed period of construction was the second half of the twelfth century, but it was actually a lot earlier, but the Muggles don't know that. The caves stretch along the cliff for some five hundred meters and are about nineteen levels up. Each level is connected by stairs, passageways and a literal maze of walkways... so if you can avoid getting too far away, that'd be great!
At the entrance, Alpheus handed over some Muggle money to the donation box, winking at the kids. He didn't really know what the papery notes indicated, or their worth, but for those who knew there were several hundred dollar notes in the mix.
"The site was largely abandoned after the Ottoman takeover in the sixteenth century. And now, it's been made into a Muggle state heritage reserve, with the extended area of Vardzia-Khertvisi being considered for the Muggle World Heritage List... so that's nice. I hope they approve it."
Once inside, there were numerous paths that led in different directions. Alpheus motioned to the one straight ahead, trying to look at everyone in turn.
"We'll be headed to the third level, all the way to the back, but feel free to explore a small distance away... if you get lost, please avoid panic and certain wooden object use. No red sparks here. Instead, find the nearest stairs and wait. I will be doing head checks on every level, so you won't be too far away."
"So. Let's head on in, and have a look! When we've had a chance to explore, I'll show you all... something special, which Muggles aren't aware of about this site."
With a grin, Alpheus motioned excitedly and entered one of the tunnels, happy to be showing some students a rare and ancient site...
ReducioNote: This is a scene change and we are now later in the day - around midday. We are now surrounded by Muggles and magic use is not recommended. Feel free to break off into groups, and when it's time to move to the something special, Alf will gather you all (if you're not near him).

The walk was a pleasant one, where she stayed by Cecily's side the whole time. She pointed out some of the birds flying through the sky, the flowers growing along the path, the trees framing the picture perfect day. The view... it really was quite lovely, wasn't it? Thank goodness she had someone to share it with.
Honestly? Ami kind of zoned out during Professor Wordsworth's lecture about Vardzia- her attention was fully captivated by the view. Oh, the view. Crystal clear sky, spring green grass... it was gorgeous, all of it. There was no other place she'd rather be at that moment.
Heading into the cave with the rest of the group, Ami finally was able to get her head back in the game to hear his insistence that they not use their wands, but that they were still able to explore a little bit. Grabbing Cecily's hand, Ami flashed a charming, trusting smile. "Come on, let's go!"
The Hufflepuff took off through the tunnel, dragging Cecily along with her. Where would they go? What could they do? "Where do you want to go?" Ami asked, pausing to let Cecily think and decide. There certainly were a lot of different places they could go within the tunnels while still keeping within the boundaries that the History of Magic professor had set... so where to, first?
"Do you want to, like, team up with any of the other groups?" she added, gesturing to the rest of the students.

History Excursion

With groggy eyes and a freezing torso, Anatole dragged his feet into the tent. The bright snow reflected off his sweatshirt, possibly making the morning even worse for the already exasperated boy. The surroundings were the only reason he hadn't already drifted off.
All of this left a different challenge - looking normal. Exciting, isn't it? As Dorothy Shafiq put it, the only way to be special...was...well, not to be special, considering everything else was going after the same thing. The only way to stand out was to...not stand out.
Anatole failed to keep this in mind when he stared at the piles of clothes the elves had brought him. Which would be the most unsuspecting? What's so bland that it would be ever so special? He was still on a supervised trip and people were judging him.
Of course, his half-awake brain began to drift off into some strange state of sub-consciousness when he unzipped his sweatshirt and chose the same darn sweatshirt he had worn from summer: this time not smelling like smoke, ash, and pre-teen sweat. It was comfortable, but didn't stop his slight shivering as much as the silver had. At least he was no longer a walking disco ball.
Biting his tongue, he zipped it up and turned around, finally realizing the voice his lagging brain had accidentally ignored. A jacket-haired girl (it was silver, jacket was silver, same difference) stared at him once he had finally exited. What did she say?
Oh, right. Partners.
Suppressing a yawn, Anatole handed the girl a somewhat strange expression and the infamous eyebrow of confusion. "Sorry...uh...what did you say?" He rubbed his eyes, which trailed all around the makeshift magical camp, tracing the lines of the tent and the swirling splotches of snow. "Oh, right. Partners."
The Gryffindor extended a hand, chuckling wearily at the girl. "Well, nice to meet you Luna, I'm...uh...A--ah--Anatole. I'd be delighted to be your partner."

History Excursion
It felt strange to be back among Muggles. Amanda had lived among Muggles most of her life, despite her family being wizards, but after spending so much time at Hogwarts, Amanda wasn’t sure how to behave. She figured that she might as well just act how she normally would. She made sure that her wand was out of sight and turned her attention towards the History of Magic professor.
After Professor Wordsworth finished his little talk about Vardzia, which Amanda had found rather interesting, Amanda observed her surroundings. It’s really gorgeous here. Amanda took a deep breath and flashed a grin at her new Slytherin friend. “Let’s go explore the caves! This trip is already so much fun and we’ve barely done anything!” Amanda laughed and grabbed Bella by the hand. “Come on, we’re going on an adventure!”
Amanda had always wanted to go on a trip like this, but her family couldn’t quite afford it with four kids. Sure, the Sparrow family went on vacations, but nothing as fun and exciting as this. The farthest into Europe that they had gone was to their grandparents’ house in Avignon, France. In Amanda’s opinion, cave cities were way cooler than some French city.
Amanda slowed down and tied her hair back with an elastic. She then turned to address Bella. “So, is there anywhere that you would like to go? I’m open to pretty much anything.”

“Oh, I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them.”

History Excursion
The walk was lengthy, and in turn gave plenty of room for thought. A few short days earlier, she, Alfie, Sorrel and Quill had sat down to discuss a rather complicated manner and it was this, once more, with which her mind labored. The sites around them were exquisite, even from a Muggle-eye, but ultimately her ambitions for going were of a much deeper sort, than just a site seeing venture. Someone was out there, harming the students, intentionally harming them... And she would be damned twice over before she allowed anything of the sort to happen on her watch.
Looking up as Alpheus began to speak, her lip curved in an easy smile and she shook her head. He'd deposited a good handful of cash into the bin, and she couldn't help but think of her father's nonchalance with muggle money, and how he'd always been so careless on family trips, tossing money around like bits of confetti. Eventually, her mother had started carrying it in her purse, to prevent them from eating through half the budget (or the family fortune) on day one, or from being mugged in an alleyway on their way back to their hostle.
Shaking her head, she tucked her hands, chilled by the atmosphere into the pockets of her coat, and when Alpheus had concluded, allowing the students to venture off in their pairs for a few moments, she approached the History of Magic professor, "You've just donated enough notes to put someone through a semester in Oxford. Quite generous. You're welcome to donate to my shop in Hogsmeade any time you'd like..." Her voice lowered then, as touch, she they wouldn't be overheard by any wandering tourists, "I've put a shield spell on the lot... while I was adding the Impervious charm to their shoes. Thought it best, just in case..."
The sad truth was, they were no closer to finding the culprit behind the attacks on the school, and they were better safe than sorry, as far as she was concerned. She would not assume they were safe until someone was serving time in Azkaban... "Never actually been here, myself. I've read about it once or twice, but seeing it in person really is quite the thing." Her eyes, though, did not shift to the spectacle around them, despite her words, but remained instead, transfixed with concentration on the students, as they muddled about in their pairs.

This was the world in which Luna had grown. Muggles, Marks, People, all were interchangeable terms to her. Luna valued individuals, but despised crowds. Those with ill-intent didn't lurk in the open, they hid in the shadows, and so she had responded in kind. Those days may be in the past, but the knowledge and memories remained. Luna still carried her trusty lockpick in her pocket but didn't have any drive to cause trouble. She was here to learn. However, she wouldn't be caught unprepared.
She had a quill and parchment out as Professor Alph explained the nature of the ruins. She would absorb as much information as possible. But notes were always a safe bet, and so her hand scribbled away, making the knowledge more permanent.
The eccentric Professor didn't take to long to give them all free reign to explore. Luna supposed this would be a good time to satisfy some curiosity. But she had a partner, maybe she should consider what he wanted to do? She admittedly knew very little about the boy, if actually anything whatsoever. Now was the time to be considerate. It had been a few hours after all, maybe he was awake now. She turned to him, a small smile on her face.
"It seems we've been given leave to explore a little. Is that something you'd like to do, or would you rather stick close to the Professors? I'm fine either way, though I lean on the exploring side personally." Despite her good intent and smile, her words were straight to the point. Her voice was calm and strong as she spoke, making the phrase seem more a suggestion than a question.

History Excursion

The muggle world was a world that was strange to Isabella. Although she had lived her entire life within a muggle community, it was still uncharted territory to her. She had grown up around ball functions, school reunions of her mothers or in the confines of the Notting Hill home. The muggle world was unknown and unexplored territory to her. And the unknown could be dangerous. While she covered it well, and gave off the impression as if this bored her somewhat, the blind exploration of the muggle world scared her deep down.
The speaking of her partner startled her, as if she’d forgotten she was there as well. “An ad-adventure? In the caves? Are you sure it’s safe? ” She couldn’t keep the slight note of doubt out of her words as she spoke to her Ravenclaw partner. She opened her mouth to hint on her doubts, but before she could say anymore, she was grabbed by the hand and pulled off behind Amanda.
‘I guess we’re going over here then?’ The Slytherin didn’t entirely mind being taken through the muggle world hand in hand with her new friend. She had done it enough times to others to care anymore.
It was like some of the confidence from the Ravenclaw somehow transferred into her body through their touching hands. As they moved on it turned from being pulled, to walking together. When they stopped it a smile had etched itself onto her face, and she had to admit that she was at least excited to explore this small snippet of the muggle world. While the task may of been daunting and scary on her own, it seemed like it would be fun with a friend by her side. “No, I don’t really have anywhere around here I’d like to go.” She said with a nervous laugh. “I was hoping you’d know what we could do. I’m kinda new to all this muggle stuff. I never really got out into the muggle world in my childhood.”
Her last two sentences weren’t entirely true. Up until her seventh birthday, she had been visiting the muggle world almost every day with her muggle father. But as much as she tried, she could barely remember anything about the times they had spent together. Instead of feeling the guilt of admitting that she had forgotten what she sorely wanted to remember, she told herself that the memories had been lost in the grieving of her father. She had made up excuse after excuse as to why she could simply not remember the memories she loved the most. And all for what? To try and dodge the guilt of forgetting her father so easily? The excuses didn’t work of course, the guilt still came.
Tucking her long hair behind her ear, she pushed her thoughts to the back of her mind to focus one what was happening in ‘the now’ as her aunt would say. Who knew, maybe she’d actually have fun exploring this unknown muggle territory.

You see? Even death has a heart.
