This is our first official discussion, the topic being, why is the deity or story you chose your favourite?
I will try to get my post out soon, but feel free to start without me if I’m too slow for you.

Mythology Club Meeting no. 1
My favourite goddess is from Greek mythology, and her name is Nike. She is the goddess of victory. I really like her, because winning has always been nice for me (and probably for everyone). But even more, she kind of works under Athena, which shows exactly how much wisdom is needed if you want to win. There aren’t really any stories of her, and I think it’s really sad how she’s almost been forgotten.

Hey! Honestly, I can't remember which person I chose, but I think it was Ariadne. I read an amazing retelling of her story a while ago so it's fresh in my head! She's quite a tragic figure really but incredibly brave

Hellooo!!

My favourite story is the one of Arachne! Its is pretty sad that Athena did turn her into a spider (curse you Athena for creating spiders) , but I think it holds a really important message about pride. Also, it's clear message is don't mess with Athena or you'll get turned into a Spider.

Ariadne was supposed to be Thesues's wife, correct?

Not all titans were bad. I like Selene, goddess of the moon, Helios, who is in control of sunset and sunrise and everything like that, and Hyperion, who I think was his father. My favorite Olympian's Artemis, I think she's cool
