Ending Ceremony Year 2017-2018
Way before the actual ceremony begins, Ackerley Blackburn, the ominous Headmaster of Hogwarts, was already in the Great Hall, contemplating the mysterious sky and flying candles. This year had been quite interesting for his personal, career, but also for the school reputation. After so many curious events that were still unsolved, it was hard to think this place had once been calm and peaceful for more than a decade. At least, the relationship between the Ministry and the School Staff had gotten better over the few months they had worked together. With the imminent danger that was still being scent in the area, it was becoming difficult for both parties to avoid any contacts. The dispersion of the Dominum Mask along with its matching glove created chaos in the wizarding world and unfortunately, the school was obviously being targeted. It was now a clear fact, after the numerous attacks that arrived in the last few months of school. Students had been hurts, another puts in greater danger. A small group had even confronted directly a first-year controlled by the mask. Nevertheless, the real culprit behind this series of event was still unknown. Ackerley could not think of someone that were mad enough to orchestras all of this. Somehow, it seemed like revenge. Against the wizards, perhaps. The man conscious was still wondering his reasons; why targeting a group of children? Students? Over the summer, Ackerley would have to do some investigation in order to find some answers to his questions. What was the goal of this madman? The man sighed, he wished he’d known. However, for now, he had another task to attend to.This thread is for current second years only. Please do not join if you are a first year student, as of right now.
All students that attended Hogwarts for the year of 2017-2018 shall participate in this thread. Each individual shall post one time, professors or students.
Please describe a review of how your school year went and include how your character felt toward the information that the Headmaster gave them.
Most importantly, have fun!
Some students had arrived earlier, others were just in times and some were late, as usual. Some had sat with their friends around the huge tables of their respective house, the others had decided to visit their friend of another house. Today was a day of peace, a day of Joyce. Children were allowed to do what they wanted, at least, to an acceptable point. The professor's arrival had been made in a similar order of the students, either early or late, but nothing truly mattered. It was now time to enjoy themselves.
First, it would be the ending year speech. The Headmaster walked closer to the student, where he would be heard easily and took a deep breath. Welcome to you all to our ending ceremony! First of all, I must say congratulation to each and every of you for your excellent results and dedication to your lessons. Secondly, I must congratulate Slytherin for winning the most House Cup this year! The man’s eyes wandered around the room, trying to reach to every of the children and then, his facial trait changed. He became more serious. I am very conscious of the situations that arrived this year. Some of you even got in danger inside of those walls. The menace is still great and I won’t hide to you that it could be dangerous, but let me tell you this: We, professors, are here to protect each and every of you. We will take the necessary measure in order to avoid any conflict at Hogwarts. The situation is still critical, but the Ministry and I are personally dealing with it. I assure you that everything will be fine and the classes will start again in September. Remember to always be careful when you wander around in the castle, and even outside of it. Ackerley remembered what professor Galim had told him a few months ago, at the beginning of this unfortunate invisible attacks. It would be preferable to teach the students a few defending spells. The first year schedule was simply initiation to magic, it was the most appropriate for children of that age. Therefore, he would probably have to have a talk with the current professors in order to determine the best way to proceed in this situation. Focusing again on his audience, Ackerley spoke, with his lost confidence. An behavior that showed that the man had found himself again in the ocean of his thoughts. With that said, I truly hope you will enjoy our summer trip that will be taking place a few weeks later!
Now that everything was said, Ackerley snapped his fingers and huge buffets appeared on each of the five tables, including the professors one. It was time to eat and to forget.

Chloe was sitting at the Hufflepuff table, ready to eat. She was talking with various other Hufflepuff students at the table. She had a very good year, that year. Made a couple friends, not a lot though. She was a loner. She tended to stick to herself most of the year, with the exception of confronting Reid about the wizard's chess and exploding snaps. As Headmaster Ackerley stood up to speak, Chloe turned her attention to the professor's table.
She rolled her eyes slightly as he announced Slytherin had won the most house cups. Figures. She listened to him speak about the danger that had taken place that year at Hogwarts. She raised her eyebrows. So they were still potentially in danger? Oh well, they had a very talented school of tough professors that she was sure would take care of any danger, plus the Ministry. They would be okay.
She nodded slightly as Headmaster Ackerley began to wrap up his speech. A summer trip? That sounded fun. She smiled a small smile as he snapped his fingers, and a large buffet appeared in front of her on the table. She would definitely miss Hogwarts while they were gone, but she couldn't wait to see her parents. She smiled and turned he head towards the food in front of her, digging in.

Eri was one of the students who was a bit late. Since coming to Hogwarts Eri had stopped caring about being on time for everything. Though she purposefully didn't intend on being late.
Finding herself sitting at the Ravenclaw table with a few Ravenclaws she kne she began to think about the previous year. She had started off with making great friends then loosing two by accidentally firing a spell on one and now being known as a death witch to him. Then trying to play seeker in a pick up game of quidditch and falling off of her broom. Getting detention for a few reasons she knows of. And pretty much making some intresting friends and rivals or people that just don't get along. A lot had changed in Eri, she was no longer shy and no longer so point blank, she had gone back to being the mischeif maker and kid she used to be before she thought she had to prove herself to all those around her. Now she can just be herself.
After hearing the words I feel the headmaster, it was clear they may have some trouble, but what is a littleness bit of trouble going to do to ruin her year? She wouldn't let it.

Emma walked down the small aisle between the Ravenclaws and Slytherin, almost with a sense of pride. Her black book bag bounced on her shoulders, but she could have cared less. She had gotten quite used to the bearable weight on both her back and her shoulders. She had survived her first year, undoubtedly, so had many other of her good friends.
Some had left Hogwarts for good, some became distant from her, and some had created an unbreakable bond with her. Her head bobbed back and forth between the two tables, waving at a few students she knew and those that she knew slightly.
The year was filled with pros and cons, and many unexpected surprises. Most of the lessons were fun indeed, well those that she had learned spells inside of. Spells were by far the highlight of her year, well that wasn't true. Growing the bonds with her friends was her best memory of the year. Travelling the school, flying on a broom for the first time, and eating with friends in the great hall was amazing, and just to think, she had a whole three months apart from it. It was hard just to think about the departure from Hogwarts itself.
After sitting down at the Ravenclaw table, she looked up at the table filled with professors, and briefly at the eagle across from her, she would have loved to see life in the eyes of other people.
The brunette listened as she congratulated the Slytherins, but still, a rush of pride overcame her sense. It hadn't been a Serpent that had achieved the most points throughout the school. It was someone from the house of wits and creativity, herself. She smiled, even though the cheers of the green-robed students pierced through her eardrums. It was hard to imagine what the other tables could hear considering they were farther away. Her eyes lost its pride when the Headmaster himself began to speak about a certain popular rumor.
But what was it about the rumors of a masked man? She had never ever seen, more or less heard the rumors of the man so feared it was rare to hear the students talk about it unless it had been seen inside of the Daily Prophet. She definitely wasn't the one to read the false stories of Rita Skeeter and the Daily Prophet.
The Ministry's involved? It must have been dramatic. She wasn't keen on the news, but this was going to need more research. A sense of happiness rushed through her body when the Headmaster announced that the professors were looking out for them... even if they wanted them to out not. With the down news, yet scary news, she returned to her plate and began to chow down on the magnificent food provided to all of the Hogwarts students.
Goodbye, Hogwarts.

Cameron listened to the speech and felt quite disappointed of Slytherin winning the cup. He thought about this past year as a first year and had happy feelings on the surface. He remembers the day like it was yesterday being sorted into Gryffindor. Cameron made friends a month or so later chatting with a lad in the common room. Hearing about the unsolved events at Hogwarts and the Ministry's involvement did fear him quite much.
As Cameron turned his focus from the Headmaster back to his friend he couldn't help but smile. The year was over and summer was just around the corner. He was terrible with recalling every detail because the school year went by so fast. Cameron wondered about next year and was anxious to learn new things. He planned over the summer to catch up on throwing gnomes from the garden.
His mum never really liked the sound of the noises those creatures made. Wondering about hanging out with friends and family calmed his anxiety. He felt happy and more alive when distracted. The mind being on the ending feast and the chatter around him let him put his thoughts at ease. A good pat on the back for a school year of well done.

Attumn came in early, getting a place at the start of the Slytherin table to see everything as good as possible, and of course to talk to others. But as always the fellow Slytherins came in and she just couldn't talk to them. She had an amazing first year at Hogwarts, she learnt so much about the magical world, the potions, the spells, it all amazed her. Attumn didn't want to go back home since her mom left. It was silent there. Then the headmaster started his speech thing. She listens closely and when the Slytherins cheered, she happily cheered along. Attumn maybe didn't make friends, or at least not that much. To be honest Attumn doesnt know who are friends and who arent. The meal started, and like everybody in the great hall she ate. Everybody was smiling, laughing and talking. Even if Attumn didnt join them, she was happy and couldnt wait to return. Maybe she will even make friends! And if, she doesn't care if they are a Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. As long if he or she is friendly. Soon she would go back to Hogwarts, learn new stuff. And she cant wait to be back!

James found his way into the Great Hall among the bustling sea of other students. This would be the last time James was in here for the next three months or so. The thought was bittersweet to James, much like Summer Vacation usually is.
James made it to the Hufflepuff Table easily, and sat down on the wooden bench, surrounded by familiar faces. He rolled his shoulders back, and bounced up and down a couple of times, wondering what sort of special thing was going to happen, if any.
Soon enough, his question was answered, because the Headmaster, Ackerley Blackburn, stood up to address the entirety of the hall, it looked like.
"Welcome you all to our ending ceremony! First of all, I must say congratulations to each and every of you for your excellent results and dedication to your lessons. Secondly, I must congratulate Slytherin for winning the House Cup this year!"
James resisted pouting. Slytherin or Ravenclaw or Gryfindor always seemed to get the House Cup. Hufflepuff was almost never considered. But that would change next year, he was sure of it. James refocused back on Professor Blackburn as he continued his end of the year speech.
"I am very conscious of the situations that arrived this year. Some of you even got in danger inside of those walls. The menace is still great and I won’t hide to you that it could be dangerous, but let me tell you this: We, professors, are here to protect each and every of you. I assure you that everything will be fine and the classes will start again in September. Remember to always be careful when you wander around in the castle, and even outside of it."
James heard many murmurings rippling through the Great Hall among the students, and even some of the professors were leaning over to whisper to each other. James thought about the Hufflepuff Campout, with the spiders and the killer shadows, and the huge fire. He thought about the maniacal fire at the BlossomFest ball. James had an uneasy feeling about the truth of Blackburn's words.
"With that said, I truly hope you will enjoy our summer trip that will be taking place a few weeks later!"
With that, the last feast of the year appeared, and began. James thought regretfully about how he wouldn't be staying for the summer camp, but there was food in front of him! Instinctively, James partook and enjoyed.

Cecily sighed as she sat down at her place at the Ravenclaw table. That year at Hogwarts was already over. It had been an amazing year, and Cecily enjoyed it thoroughly. She had made so many new friends, which she was very proud of considering she was very shy. As the headmaster started to talk, Cecily stopped chatting with other Ravencalaws and listened carefully. She raised her eyebrows as the headmaster congratulated Slytherin for winning the most house cups. It seemed that Slytherin always won the house cups! Cecily shook this thought out of her head, however, and continued to listen to the headmaster.
Hearing about the danger that had taken place there made Cecily scoot closer to the person next to her. This made her a bit nervous, being reminded of all of the danger, but she recovered when the Headmaster brought of the Ministry of Magic. Surely they would protect all the students.
And not to mention all the talented teachers here, Cecily thought, her eyes darting from the headmaster to all of the teachers seated at the front table.
The headmaster wrapped up his speech and Cecily sighed again as he mentioned their "Summer trip". She didn't want to leave Hogwarts!
Why can't I just stay! Cecily thought, feeling a little sad. But she thought of her parents, and her home, and that made her feel better. That's something to look forward to, at least, Cecily thought again.
Cecily then clapped her hands gently as food appeared on all of the tables. She ate and ate and ate, knowing that this would be her last meal at Hogwarts until September.

Anastasia sat at the Slytherin table still shocked that the year was soon to be over. It went by so quick! She thought as people began to start filling the other tables. She listened curiously to others banter around her as she waited along for someone to join her before the feast began. She rested her elbows on the table and signed. It was nice to know that she was a second year and no longer a helpless first year wandering around the castle. She had learnt so much within her first year at Hogwarts and she was so happy to have learnt a few things about her father and a few of the things he had done. She had gained many new friends and broke out of her shell and was much more confident.
Anastasia's stomach rumbled as she was so excited for the feast. She had been waiting all year for the feast because every feast at Hogwarts was one to remember. She grinned lost in her thoughts of roasted potatoes and roast beef on the bone. Large cups of warm and cold butter-beer and the bowls of ice cream with chocolate syrup drizzled on top. She could hear laughter and excitement and could not wait for the feast to begin.
