Kim supports the House because Ravenclaw is the House he should have been in from the start. It's who he is inside. He's torn between Slytherin and Gryffindor because his dad was a Slytherin and his mom was a Gryffindor. But in truth, his true self is a Ravenclaw.
Due to the stress and pressure on him though... he succumbed to being in Slytherin or Gryffindor.
