Cash was one of the few students that were the first ones to get out of the classroom when their Study of Ancient Runes had ended. The reason why they were out of the door so quickly like a bat out of the cave was that Cash hated crowded hallways and the stampede of steps that usually comes along with it.

When last year rolled in, the green eyes decided to take Study of Ancient Runes one of their elective class alongside Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies. The latter of the study was not Cash's main choice since their mother told them to take so the pureblood kid was more tolerant towards non-pureblood descendants.

At first, Cash did not see what's the point of taking Muggle Studies but as another year rolled in and they still stuck with the same electives as last year, it speaks something. Cash enjoys taking elective classes. They will not tell their mother that. If they did, their mother usually tease them and Cash will never hear the end of it.

It was a long track. From the North Tower where the Ancient Runes classroom is located to the basement where the Slytherin house resides. On a month like this, Cash cursed why the house of green and silver was placated in the deepest part of the castle. Well, the Slytherin house is still a bit warmer than the Chamber of Secrets.

And so, once Cash stepped into their dorm, they discarded their school uniform and school robes. The green eyes remembered that today another errand will be held. An errand goes by A Step Towards Unity. It sounds diplomatic and a bit political to them but who are they to judge? After Cash had put on their assembly of clothing consisting of a black beanie on top of their head, and a dark blue knitted pullover.

Under the pullover Cash had worn their thermal suit to keep their body warm, the Prefect badge attach somewhere near the collar of their pullover. They looped their angel wings necklace around their neck which is a birthday gift from their father before the disappearance of the said father figure.

And to complete the costume, on their feet Cash wore dark blue and white striped sneakers on their feet. When Cash took a notice of themselves and they deemed themselves presentable enough, a hiss come from their bed can be heard. "Want. Come"Aero uttered while looking at the green eyes expectantly.

"No,"Cash said then look at their black and yellow emerald gazer snake challengingly. "Want. Come"Repeated the snake. Cash was almost out of their dorm room but Aero still persistently wanted to come along with them. "I said no"Cash was already halfway out the door when Aero expressed the same two annoying words again.

Their hand is on the handle of their dorm room. Cash looked down and let out an annoying sigh. Aero will not stop bugging them until Cash agrees to bring him with them. The fourth year then turned their head toward the snake. If a snake could pout, Aero was doing it. Cash let out another sigh. "You are so annoying right now,"Cash mumbled under their breath.

"Come then before I change my mind,"The young Ironwoods said in Parsel. The black and yellow snake slithers happily from the top of their bed and sets his weight on top of Cash's shoulders. Once both Aero and Cash entered the room, not so many students had arrived. They had politely greeted the two professors and both the prefects that chaperoned the gathering.

Someone then told and pointed them out to their table. Cash walked towards their table and recognize a familiar face. "Aoki,"Cash greeted the blue-haired boy as they took a seat in front of where their name card was placed. Aero still perched on their shoulder like a cat. "Off!"Command the Beater.

But Aero being stubborn that he was, would not listen to Cash unless the young Ironwoods speak to him in Parsel. The Prefect could feel Aero's tail encircling their ankle while his cold and scaly skin grazed against Cash's neck every now and then.

Adlai wasn't the type of person to rush out of the classroom right when the school day had ended. In fact she was often times one of the last kids to leave due to her generally slow nature whenever she was tired. However, she planned to pump herself up as soon as she got to her dorm. There was an event that was taking place today that she had been waiting to attend ever since she found out about it. To her knowledge the event focused on interacting with people from several different walks of life!

Adlai always wanted to broaden her point of view on the world, especially ever since she arrived to Hogwarts to took notice to the wide array of people who moved up and down the corridors, to and fro. Despite her curiosities she always made it a point with herself to never ask unprompted questions. Which is why she had never asked someone why or how they were half giant or half goblin or this or that. After all she had seen enough of that when she was just a primary school student in Wales.

Finally reaching her dorm room she slid through the door and plopped her school bag and herself onto the bed. "Tired pretty?" asked a small squeaking from under her pillow. "Yes, I am." She replied. "Pretty always tired." The voice said before an ever growing snake slithered out and curled itself up beside her head. "I guess so. I can't be too tired today though because we have somewhere to go!"

Adlai sat up on the bed and began to unlace her school shoes. "Dorothy?" Asked the little snake. "No, party." Said Adlai, throwing her shoes to the side and scouring her bedroom for an appropriate outfit to change into. "Party! Dafina not see!" "Well, Dafina will see today!"

Leaving her dormitory dawned in a relatively casual outfit and with Dafina draped over her shoulders, Adlai made her way to the rehearsal room where the event supposedly took place. Entering the room Adlai was greeted with the pleasant sight of a lovely arranged social gathering. "Party time?" Asked Dafina. "Yes, party time!" Adlai replied as she made her way to her assigned area.

"Hello!" She exclaimed as she approached the two who were already there, one of which she recognized. "Cash! I didn't know you'd be here! Oh, now I know this is going to be fun! It's always nice to have a few friends around during parties like these, right?"

It was practically the end of January, the first month of the new year, 2023. Bailey was in a decent mood, a little tired of the week, but that was to be expected. She was ready for the weekend, but also for the errand that she had signed up for. it was to learn more about others and their backgrounds, like families and other things, including being a werewolf or a parselmouth.
As far as Bailey knew, she did not personally know many people that were different, or not just magical. She did know that @Lucian Mornstern was a wolf, something that she had actually learned that month. She had heard the rumors, and has asked him about it when he found her outside training. She considered Luci a friend, and honestly did not see him any different now that she knew the truth about him. Bailey did not care for biases based on the purity of blood, or because you were half a different species - to her it did not matter. Friends were friends, but she was interested in learning more about other people and their cultures and such.
Bailey had signed Kim up, as had Damion. Bailey had not talked to Damion about signing Kim up, it just happened to be a coincidence.

Not worrying about dragging Kim to the errand, Bailey had spent the extra time to finish up her Astronomy homework, which meant she had no more school work to do - and after the errand was done, she would have some free time to herself.
i can read that book mum got for me, and chat with the girls. Maybe one of them, maybe @Taisia Stroudefielde will be willing to help me do my nails... i need a new color, maybe something for valentines day? Bailey thought, smiling.
Bailey left the library where she had been studying, and headed to the rehearsal room. She was on the first floor, and climbed the three or so flights of stairs to get to the rehearsal room.
Bailey straightened her tan beanie as she climbed the stairs, adjusting her hat. She also moved the strap of her bag on her shoulder, as it was a tad heavy. She had her water bottle, her regular notes journal, her cake design notebook, her school notebook, a book on astronomy, her astronomy homework, her writing utensils both muggle and magical, and a few other random miscellaneous things.
As for her outfit, Bailey was wearing a very neutral color outfit - lots of tan, brown, white. Her shirt was white, her slacks were a light tan, her vest and boots were also a light tan, and her sweater was an Ombre with brown and tan and white. Her hair she had loose over her shoulders, and Bailey was wearing a gold necklace, a few gold rings and a gold bracelet she had gotten from her grandparents that lived near her in Leeds for Christmas.
The room was filled with several groups of couches and armchairs, with tables that held cookies and sandwiches, tea and coffee and juice, and chocolate frogs.
Bailey spotted Kim, next to two other people - Cass, the Slytherin Prefect that bailey had to admit she admired, and another fourth year, this time a hufflpuff, that Bailey thought was named Adlai.
Bailey stopped by one of the tables and grabbed a few cookies and two chocolate frogs along with a cup of peppermint tea for herself and another cup of peppermint tea for Kim.
Walking over to where Kim was, bailey balanced on the arm of Kim's chair, and handed him one of the chocolate frogs, and his cup of tea.
"hello!" Bailey said cheerfully in greeting to everyone. To kim bailey said "Glad you came!!! Haha i talked to Damion, and apparently he also signed you up.... but i am glad you decided to come, and not to skip on us "
Bailey noticed that both Cass and Adlai had snakes with them, and she wondered if they both, or one of them, were Parslemouths.
i am sure they will mention it bailey thought, knowing that the reason for the errand was to find out about things like this, or for students to share.
Bailey herself was just a muggle born, and was of English and Polish decent. She also had a tad of Irish blood, but it was quite faint. Bailey only spoke two languages, English and a little bit of Polish. Her Polish was rusty at best, but she had spent all summer learning more and practicing, so if it came to it Bailey would attempt to speak in Polish a bit. Bailey liked being able to represent all of the parts of her heritage and of her family, weather it being by food or clothes or hairstyles.

Turning her attention from Cash to the other person in the room Adlai smiled once again. She had crossed paths with them before so that made introductions a little less awkward. "I remember that party! I'm sure if we spoke though. You're... Kar- no... Kim, right?" She asked before taking note of a third person who had entered the room, one she gave a friendly nod to.

"I'm not sure how many people are supposed to come but I think right now we have a pretty good number. Odd numbers of people are always so difficult to blend into in my opinion, no matter what there always seems to be an odd one out! I never thought that was fair, everyone wants someone to talk to after all, unless they're the type of person who doesn't want to which is perfectly fine in my opinion. Everyone has what they like and dislike, but even then some people need to be pushed out of their comfort zones to make new friends or acquaintances, which is what I guess this event is all about really." Adlai rattled on.

"How about you, are you here to possibly make new friends or just for learning purposes. Frankly if I were you I wouldn't want to be doing too much learning. Especially since we just got done with class and it may cause your brains to short circuit."

As Cash waited for another person to show up, their eyes glazed over to the other table. Some is much livelier than their table. But for Cash, the number of people that already attended their table, it just the correct amount. Then a new voice that Cash was very familiar with entered their hearing sense.

Cash looked up lazily at Adlai. At first, Cash did not take notice of the snake that was draped around the other fourth-year Hufflepuff. What Cash did take notice of is the clothing that Adlai wore. The clothing well suited her and it makes Cash smile. "Adlai!"Cheer Cash happily. Adlai Rod was one of the people that Cash liked.

Unlike someone who could irk them instantly by just looking at their face. Mainly one Hanako Tone. But good thing Tone was not at their table. Cash then tuned in on what Adlai was asking both of them. "....Oh, now I know this is going to be fun! It's always nice to have a few friends around during parties like these, right?"She inquired.

Cash nodded their head. For the fun part that is but not the making of new friends snippet. Making new friends nowadays is a bit jarring for them. Not because Cash is anti-social. No. New friends mean they need to get to know that person and Cash rather than stick to what they already know, thank you very much.

Then Kim's voice directed their green eyes toward the blue-haired boy. Kim had complimented Aero by calling the black and yellow Emerald Gazer snake beautiful. "Thanks,"It was a short reply but laced with sincerity. And it seems Aero could tell that he got a shower of compliments, finally, climbed down from Cash's shoulders and slithered toward Kim.

It was a huge relief. With Aero getting bigger and longer, he also getting heavier. The 70+ cm snake slithers on the table and when he stops in front of Kim, Aero lifted up his body and takes a look at the boy. He tilted his head and studied Kim like how a puppy is curious about something. Cash's eyes darted from Aero to Kim.

They leaned a bit so they could whisper to the boy. "Hope snake did not freak you out,"Cash said. "I am sorry for his behavior beforehand. It is partly my fault he did not socialize much with either animals or humans alike"They said in their normal voices. "Speaking of snakes,"Their green eyes averted from Aero to the snake Adlai brought with her.

"I did not know you have your own snake, Adlai! If I had known sooner we could have a snake playdate,"Cash uttered casually. When said out loud, it is kind of strange. Whereas normally whatever playdate amongst animals it includes many more domestic and tame animals like cats or dogs. Never snakes.

"What is his or her name?"The young socialite asked the other A.S.P leader. Then Kim mentioned Henry's name. No matter how much Cash tried to forget about their best mate, it seems a futile attempt. Cash swallowed the lump in their throat. Cash missed Henry so much but there was nothing much they can do about it.

Cash cleared up their throat and looked up. They pressed the tear duck on both of their eyes to stop and pressed the unshed tears that were about to pool in their eyes back to where it was supposed to be. They took a deep breath and smile when another feminine voice enter the mix. "Glade, hello!"Cash greeted the blonde.

Glade then immediately chatted animatedly with Kim. It is so glad to see people familiar with one another. In the stillness, Cash's mind flies back to Henry again. If Henry was still around, Cash definitely whine here, there, and whatnot to their best mate. But now Cash needs to toughen themselves up and walk the journey alone.

Adlai then launches into a mini ramble about how odd numbers of people are always so difficult to blend and whatnot. "How about you, are you here to possibly make new friends or just for learning purposes? Frankly, if I were you I wouldn't want to be doing too much learning. Especially since we just got done with class and it may cause your brains to short circuit."The Hijabi Hufflepuff end her rant.

At the short-circuit joke, Cash let out a small chuckle. They know Adlai is kind-hearted but they never thought Adlai was cute too. Cute? Where the hell that comes from, Ironwoods? Cash chastised themselves. Cash always had admiration an Adlai always have a special place in their heart but not in that way.

For the second time, Cash cleared their throat. Clearly uncomfortable with the newfound feeling they had for their fellow Parsel. If Adlai ever know Cash could have a potential crush on her, well, it would be another story to tell and Cash was not ready to decipher it much further yet.

Fiona had really enjoyed today's lessons. She had taken lots of notes and had learned a lot of new things. She was really loving being at this school. Fiona missed her mum a little, but she wasn't too upset about it. She and her mum were never all that close. Fiona stood from her seat at the desk and stretched her hands out a little because they were sore from all of the notes she had been taking. She knew that she had something to attend after classes, an errand, or whatever they were called. Fiona gathered her things and followed her classmates out of the classroom. While the others were talking amongst themselves, Fiona was quiet. She was still painfully shy, and hadn't made many friends at the school yet. She hoped that the errand would help her make more friends, or at least help her to get closer to the friends she did have.

Fiona set her things on her bed and quickly changed from her uniform to a more comfortable outfit. Not that she didn't like her uniform, but her outfit was pastel and cute, something she preferred to the black and grey uniform. Fiona tugged on a chunky lavender sweater and some white pants to go with it. She checked her reflection in the mirror, straightening her hair a little. She might be young, but she did try to look presentable at all times.

Fiona walked to the rehearsal room, her cheeks flushing as she realized that so many people were already there. She had gotten there later than she had planned. She was hoping to be one of the first ones there so that it would be less awkward, but now she was walking into a situation where it seemed like people knew each other. She felt so out of place here, but she rarely felt comfortable around other people. She offered each person a shy smile and relaxed a little as she realized that Damion was already there. She at least knew him, and she vaguely knew the people who hosted the Winter Bash that she had attended. She walked toward Damion, not wanting to interrupt his conversation or be annoying. She felt bad for hovering and always waiting for him, but he made her feel safe. She didn't have a crush on him or anything, but he was the first person to talk to her at Hogwarts other than the Sorting Hat.

Fiona waited until Damion was done talking to people before smiling shyly. "Hi Damion..." she said. "Um.. Hello, Bailey and Kim..." she added, her cheeks flushing as she talked to people she didn't know very well. She really wanted to break out of her shell and stop being so shy. Fiona pushed her ginger hair over her shoulder. She wished she had tied it up in a braid or something. She looked around nervously, noticing that some people had brought snakes. She assumed that those people would likely be Parselmouths, though she didn't know very much about them. She wondered who else she would meet today.
