Nice day in Library Closed

Ben personally loved a library. The smell of the books always calms him. The shelves of books, the ambient light, the silent air around him, ah... Ben just loved it. In the hogwarts library, the air seemed to tell him to pick up a book. But he was searching for a topic. Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, Defense against the Dark Arts, Mythical Legends, Astronomy, Vampires, Werewolves, Animagi, Dhampirs, History, Divination and much much more. He looked at the section which had books about creatures. Dragons, owls, toads, werewolves, and vampires. One of his fears are vampires. They were so...creepy. He went further. His finger was trailing along the shelves and it was bouncing as the books changed dimension. He finally hit a book on herbology. He decided to read it. He decided to search for a place to read. He walked randomly, taking a right and then a left. Another left. Then a right. Then he lost count.He was going so fast now that he didn't notice a smaller wooden stool. And he fell on his face. He looked at the stool with hatred. With a feeble moan, he got up and continued. Without realising, he was going in a random direction, god knows where exactly he is, and he was walking fast. Again. He noticed the table right in front of him too late. He smashed into it. His faced smacked into his herbology book which miraculously made its way onto the table. ''Ouch...'' he muttered. Would he ever learn? This was his 3rd or 4th time getting hurst because of his clumsiness. That's when he noticed an armchair beside the fireplace. It was occupied. And a girl was staring at him.
Oops...

Pandora was immersed in the book. She woke up when he heard a voice. It was a falling sound. Curious, she looked in the direction of the voice. He had fallen face down. She stood up to help, but the boy was already up. But when she saw that he was standing up, he was relieved and picked up his book again. Just as he was about to read it again, he heard a male voice. She put her book down and looked again at where the sound was. She saw the same boy crash into the table. Pandora chuckled involuntarily. Seeing that the boy was staring at her, she quickly stood up and walked over to him.

"Hey are you okey? Maybe you're a little too clumsy. But I think it's a good thing."

Helped the boy straighten up. He was a black haired person. He was wearing a Ravenclaw robe. She realized he forgot to introduce herself.

"My name is Pandora. Pandora Smith. What is your name? Ravenclaw wow we are in the same house."

Pandora held out her cold hand to the boy.The downside of being a Dhampir, she thought. I didn't think it was a good start but the beginning was the beginning.

The girl got up from the armchair, surprise etched across her pale face. She came towards him to help. Ben, too dazed to form proper thoughts, got up before she can. She said two sentences. "Hey are you okay? Maybe you're a little too clumsy. But I think it's a good thing." And "My name is Pandora. Pandora Smith. What is your name? Ravenclaw. Wow, we are in the same house." Ben looked at her. She had long black hair, eyebrows, eyes that said, "you are ridiculously clumsy", and pale skin. A little too pale. She was holding a book that said, "All about Dhampirs". Dhampirs are people who were born to normal humans and a vampire. He was deathly afraid of vampires. He was a bit afraid of Dhampirs. They do not have sharp fangs which can bite onto your neck and make you into a vampire. Wait a minute, can they? That's when he realised that the girl before him said something. "Hey Pandora, I'm Ben. Benjamin. Benjamin Detmerr. He was quite dazed, so thoughts that Ben usually detested slithered their way into his mind. Pandora. Such a nice name. She was pretty too... Ben suddenly came back to his senses. " I got a bit dazed, so forgive me if I stared a bit too long." He didn't realise that her hand was out and shook it. Cold to the touch. " By the way, fact check. Clumsiness is a good thing when you're making friends. Not when you want your body to be in one piece. Why was I walking so fast?" He asked himself aloud. He felt his forehead. Yay. Another bump.

"You have a beautiful name. Ben not your nickname?I see a slight fear in your eyes. Don't worry, I won't bite you"

Saying this, Pandora was slightly stressed. She couldn't help but wonder if he understood. I hope he didn't understand. Their minds were dispersed by Ben's speech. She was about to comment when he saw Ben slam his head on the table. She involuntarily chuckled. Then she immediately closed her mouth. I hope he hasn't seen my teeth, Pandora thought.

"Are you okay? Sorry for laughing. Meanwhile, I'm clumsy too."

Pandora was acting like nothing had just happened. So she was trying to change the subject. She seemed a little stressed out by the situation.

"What book do you want to read? I'm reading this book because I'm a little curious."

She showed me the book in his hand. Okay, it was obvious that he was lying. She wasn't that good at lying. She averted her eyes as she lied.

""Isn't the weather beautiful?"

Okay, that was a really bad topic-changing question. She knew this. But nothing else came to mind. "If you haven't found the book yet, I can help." She smiled friendly. She wanted to help. She eagerly awaited the answer

Ben was startled. Fear? He wasn't scared, he was just dazed. '' Ben is my nick name. I like being clumsy. Especially if I make people laugh!'' He did like making people laugh. When she said ''I won't bite your face,'' he sensed some stress in her eyes. Is she worried about something? Nah, maybe he is just overthinking stuff. '' The weather is beautiful, but I want to explore the library. By the way, I found a book. It right here on the table! Yeah, it's- where is it?” Where had the herbology book gone? He look over the table. He looked under the table. There it was, hiding under the table innocently. He bent down and reach for it. Too far. He lay on the ground and went inside the table, crawling like a caterpillar. He finally go hold of the book. He came out, but his back jit the table's edge and he grunted. '' Another clumsy move for you, milady.'' He said. He showed the herbology book. '' Herbology is not the best subject for me, but I like it. Dhampirs are related to vampires, right? I am deathly afraid of vampires. I am a bit afraid of Dhampirs, but if they don't threaten me, then I'm fine. They can't bite, can they? Is that given in the book?'' He asked. Did some fear crawl into the last question? "People who are clumsy usually have high pain tolerance, do n'tcha think?"

Pandora watched curiously, and she involuntarily burst into laughter as she instantly saw Ben slam his head against the corner of the table. After a few seconds she had to shut her mouth again. She had to stop this laughing business.

"Sorry. I couldn't stand it. Maybe I should stop"

She pretended to think when I asked him about the Dhampirs. She knew her mother's mother was a vampire. But she wasn't a fan of saying that.

“Yes, relatives. Near or far. They can bite. Why are you afraid of Dhampirs I think it would be fun to be."

Okay, she lied about it. It wasn't something she wanted. She asked a question to distract from her thoughts.

"So which creature would you like to be? I personally wouldn't want to be a werewolf."

Her attempt to switch to another kobu was unsuccessful. I'll think twice next time, she told herself.

"Do you want to read together? Needless to say, we don't read much. You don't get clumsy while reading."

She looked at Ben curiously. She would have finished the book and would not have been alone. Immersed in these thoughts, she waited for the answer. Maybe today was going to be fun.

Ben touched the rather large bump on his forehead. It hurt a tiny bit, but that was fine. As his childhood friend once said, "Wounds caused by clumsy moves always go away in 5 minutes." Or something similar to that. What was her name? Never mind, he was going off on a tangent. He needed to concentrate now. He shook his face and repeatedly opened and closed his eyes for a minute. "Sorry, got a bit dazed there.." he said. "It fine if you laugh. I actually enjoy it when people do that. But not that much if that laugh is intended to make fun of me." He sat in his chair. He placed his herbology book on the table and patted it 3 times as if that would stop it from running under that table again. "The only reason I am afraid of Dhampirs is that they are related to vampires. Maybe it is a good thing to be a Dhampir, maybe it's not. I wouldn't say I hate them, as there is simply no reason to. If they aren't immortal, maybe being a Dhampir is something good. Are they immortal?" That was a genuine question he had. " I would read my book, or we could talk. I would be fine with anything." He look at Pandora, and grinned. " I would very much like to be an animagi. Not sure which animal, though...

Pandora looked at Benjamin. She thought he was a good boy if he wasn't clumsy. As for the smile, he was right about that.

Pandora sat on one of the chairs next to the child and watched the child carefully. When asked a question, she answered immediately, but that bothered him a bit. She replied by looking at the table.

"Yes. Relatives. But there are those who have been bitten. From what I've read, they're not immortal."

Being Animagus… She had heard that people like Pandora were forbidden to be Animagus. But if she was, she would want to be a fox.

"I don't think all vampires are bad. Okay, my grandma is bad, but... so my grandma is a bad witch, but my other maternal side is okay... I guess"

She almost let the truth out of her mouth, but had saved it. She was relieved. Meanwhile, she thought of something. She spoke immediately.

"Do you have a pet? Which animal would you want? For example, I have a troublesome rabbit."

She smiled when he thought of Tia. Even if she got in trouble, she would do cute things to fix the situation. She is very cute. She smiled.

"I still don't have a pet," Ben said. "But I am planning on buying a cat. I'm gathering money, you see. Rabbits are a nice choice, though. Tia is a good name." Yes. Rabbits are nice. He wanted to get a dog, but of course, that wasn't there. He had been to the Magical Menagerie. There were a wide range of animals. He thought of buying an owl, but he decided to buy a cat. Toad, rats, and lizards were not making it onto the list, as he did not like their presence. For some reason, Pandora's words were a bit suspicious. Why was that? Maybe he was overthinking everything again. But, what if... Ben decided to recollect her behaviour. "I won't bite you." The stress in her eyes. Her pale skin. The book she was reading. Her teeth. How she knows a lot about vampires and dhampirs. And her recent slip-up. "Okay, my grandma is bad, but... so my grandma is a bad witch, but my other maternal side is okay... I guess." All vampires were bad. But her grandmother was a bad witch. Or was she a vampire? Was Pandora trying to hide the fact that she is a Dhampir? He decided to go on the offensive. "You're a Dhampir, aren't you?
