You didn't, this is as I said, not half as bad as I feared after your warnings.
But if you think that what you say requires several warnings and a shift of blame to the reader before they can even read it, may be worth thinking twice if you really want to send what you are about to send.

I mean, I just that I already had a staff owl me because I said that people saying thank you in every flavor bean locations annoyed me and I didn't want to be owled again. And then you had Professor Regan saying "Imagine how you'd feel as a "new person" reading this." and so I didn't want anyone to tell me "Imagine how you'd feel as one of those people reading this." So really hiding the actual message was the best option because if I was one of those people, at least I'd have been warned.

Edit: And really, the whole point of this thread is to vent on things one dislikes about this site so I did just that while giving people a chance not to see it.

Going through this thread:

1. I am sorry to all of the new players that are struggling to acclimate to the site. The expectation is 200 words per in character post on this site. That said, we want you to learn and develop.

2. Expressing gratitude for getting beans and celebrating victories (like getting the bean you were looking for) is worthy of celebration. Don't let other people's bitterness destroy expressions of joy. To answer the question: "why people say they got a bean when it's not like they get updated?" They were excited and they had gotten something that they needed and were expressing a victory.

3. Thank you @Méabh Regan for saying the following:

Hey guys, quick reminder to please be kind and respectful. People make mistakes, it happens, and we can talk to them about it and explain it so they learn. Imagine how you'd feel as a "new person" reading this. Additionally, please don't bring up past bans unless strictly necessary. They are usually not announced, we try to leave people with their dignity. Be kind, move on.

4. A thread about everything about the site that is run by volunteers and about players that are new or their excitement inconveniences you is just mean. It discourages everyone, makes new players feel like problems and people who were expressing gratitude or joy hesitate to do so moving forward.
