I know some staff member said that discord was required to become part of the staff or to hold a certain position... I just can't remember what it was...

Like if you don't have it you can still get accepted but you must eventually obtain it.

There will be electives yes.

Ic, you have to do the homework/ go to class, but you don’t have to OOC, your ooc scores do not represent your ic scores.
