WC: 79Dear quill pal,
I don’t really know what to write, so I guess I’ll start with an introduction. I’m Charlie Jacobsen, First year, Ravenclaw. Although, I don’t really think I was meant for Ravenclaw. I personally think I’m more of a Huffle. Anyway, I love to play hockey, and I often wear my old jersey around hogwarts. I had to quit the team when I left home, but Hockey will still be a big part of my life.

Dear Charlie,
Well, we have one thing in common in disagreeing with the House we were sorted into. My money was definitely on Slytherin when I sat down to be sorted. But I guess it does fit, considering the rest of my family is Gryffindor.
Hockey, huh? I've never really been one for sports, but I'd have to say hockey's probably the only one I'd ever really been inclined to watch aside from Quidditch. Both of my older brothers are sports fanatics, but I've always been more of a fan of settling down to listen to music or read. (I also thought I might get sorted into Ravenclaw, if not Slytherin.) I also have a younger sister, and she just got into watching American football, for some reason I cannot comprehend but suspect is the doing of one or both of my brothers. What about you? Any siblings?
It's somewhat easier than I thought it would be to write this.

Wc: 99Dear quill pal,
I’ve honestly never been super in to Quidditch, but recently a prefect told me I’d make a good beater. I’ve actually been thinking about joining the Ravenclaw team, but the beaters that are all ready on the team are really good.
I have one younger sister named Eliza, who is at home back in Ireland. She’ll be at Hogwarts, hopefully.
One weird thing about back home is that I live with muggles all around me. I actually lived a muggle life before coming here, but I knew about magic, and my mom used it occasionally.

Dear Charlie,
That's cool. My brothers are on my ass to try out for seeker or chaser, but I'm about as athletic as a pillowcase. I prefer to watch more than play.
My older brothers are twins, Rhain and Rhun, and they're in year 4. My younger sister's named Rhylee, and she's back home in Wales. My parents sort of have a knack for names that start with "Rh" if you can't tell.
That's another thing we have in common. My mum's a muggle, so I've grown up with her influence as well as my dad's.
Suppose Muggle Studies shouldn't be too hard for us, then?

WC:75Dear quill pal,
I don’t really know how to say this but… my blood is a bit weird. Mums a witch and my dad’s a vampire. So that makes me a dhapmir. Nobody else knows except one other dhapmir. Not even my best friend.
I guess muggle studdies should be easy, I mean my former best friend was a muggle so… yeah.
I also have a cat, named Zara. Do you have any pets?

Dear Charlie,
Oh, that's cool. I've never met any dhapmirs before you. I'm honored you said anything about it, especially if your best friend doesn't even know.
Lucky thing about me is I don't really have anyone to gossip with, so your secret's safe with me. (I also detest drama and rumors.)
I don't have any pets, but I've been thinking about saving up some galleons to get one from the Magical Menagerie. I was thinking about getting a ferret, but I'd also like having a cat, or maybe an owl. There's a lot of options.

WC:102Dear quill pal,
Glad I could trust you with my.. erm… my secret. I’ve been planing to tell her, and I may have signed up for a event where we share family history. Hope it turns out ok.
There are a lot of options! You could also get a salamander if you wanted too. I chose a cat because I have always loved fluffy animals.
Do you play any instruments? I guess if I’m going to ask you a question I’d better answer it too. I play the drums and the sax. I started playing them right after my dad… left.

Dear Charlie,
Of course. I mean, I'm not even really out to any of my family, so I understand in a way. Though I bet being a dhapmir is rather different than being nonbinary. Best of luck with that event.
A salamander could be cool, too. I suppose I'll have to decide when I go in to purchase (I love procrastinating to the very last minute. It's one of my best traits.)
And, I actually do play an instrument. My mum was a concert pianist in her late childhood into her teens, so she taught me to play from a young age. I've also taken up ukulele recently, but that's definitely a work in progress. And I guess I wouldn't really have much of an issue if I gave keyboarding a go.
I'm sorry to hear about your dad. We don't have to touch on that if you don't want to, but if for some reason you would like to, I have skeletons in my own closet as well. Sort of like trading questions and answers (as we've been doing), we could trade stories.
On a lighter note, do you have a favourite colour? Mine would probably have to be sea-green. Not quite blue, but not quite green, either. Sort of in-between, like myself.

WC:87Dear quill pal,
Being a dhaphmir in secret is… difficult. I can’t cry in public because well… my tears are blood. And I have to find ways to feed in secret. I also have permanent fang gaps where normal humans have their canines. I have claws, which are well.. sharp.
Piano and ukulele! That’s awesome! I actually have a music club, which has all different types of instruments there. You should join!
My favorite color would half to be a royal blue or a royal purple.

Dear Charlie,
Oof, that does sound difficult. I’m not sure how I would manage that if I was in your shoes.. I haven’t told any of my family I’m non-binary, so for the most part they still think I’m a girl. My brothers still call me their “little sister” and whatnot, which can get annoying, but I don’t know how they would react if I told them otherwise. Rhun probably wouldn’t care that much, but Rhain would probably tease me until the end of time. And then there’s my parents…
Oh, yeah, I think I actually looked into that music club. It was one of the clubs that caught my eye as something I might enjoy, and lord knows my mum’s on my case about socializing and making friends, so at least I’ll be able to write home about doing something productive.
Those are both nice colours! Definitely always liked those more than pink.
