So it's so much better as it feels more like a family, friends and a life versus just writing stories with other people. You know what I mean?

Now I wish I'd joined back in 2021... oh wells.

Yes!!! When I joined at first I was unhappy with the House I got into (from 2 accidents I did, which probably ended up making me go to Gryffindor most likely). Why? Because from the way I'd written things out, I could have done any House but Gryffindor. Also the reason was NOT just because of the personality traits. So it wasn't as if I could just turn it into a plot point etc... and yes I know that people with let's say Slytherin traits can be in Gryffindor and work just fine.

However, for me, there was a specific point that I'd written into his background/history/family which made it impossible for him to be in Gryffindor. That coupled with the Ravenclaw traits I originally had written for him, along with various other things, it just didn't make any sense at all to have him be in Gryffindor. So short of waiting 6 months to deactivate him and make a new character, there was only one option for me. I had to rewrite his entire personality and background/history/family and all the things that made it impossible for him to end up in Gryffindor. So I did so and then he worked in Gryffindor and became who he is now.

For most people they could definitely easily make it work in let's say Gryffindor. You don't have to change your personality, background/history or anything. It's just for me I had to.

However, everything worked out in the end, I ended up meeting you (Colin), Bailey, Sophia and Sage. Later on, I met Precious (Gemima Sable) and all the other lovely people. So I'm happy!

Back then, I also didn't know what stats, abilities or special rare talents/special races were and when I found out what they were I didn't really fully understand at the time. I don't think the rules back then stated that by choosing PM you couldn't be an Animagus later on and they were also barred from becoming other things too in the future because it just said full human. Since PM is listed as a special rare talent, you'd still be full human, so I thought I'd be fine. I originally was planning for Kim to be an Animagus later on and was shocked when I found out that as a PM I can't be one. Soooo yeah. That came as a blow to me and I'm still sad about it because I really want Kim to be an Animagus. Especially since in the HP world I thought everyone could become one if they wanted to. But HiO is different from HP which I understand, it's just I'm bummed about it.

I wouldn't have taken PM if I'd known you couldn't become one in the future.

Yeah, I know what kind of site you’re talking about. I don’t like those tbh. I think HIO is the best for any RP site. You really feel like its magic. Its not bland and Zach’s really good at coding. I also love how you don’t have to pay money to get special perks, like changing your house or wand. All of the people are so nice here, it’s a welcoming and safe community. The staff also do such a good job. Like this is different from the sites where there’s just forums; I really feel like I’m part of something here. I get what you mean Kim. It doesn’t just feel like an Rp, having only one character makes it feel more like reality. And you can base the character on yourself actually, for example Rita’s character’s appearance is based on her’s IRL. I think their personality don’t differ too much either.

I see I see! I didn't know that accounts got deleted back then? I thought they just collected dust hahaha and only the banned or users who deactivated their characters were 'deleted'. But I didn't know you were someone here before, that's cool! Glad you returned though!

Ah yeah, I prefer sites like HiO now too. They are more interactive, are usually quite active and some people feel like family while others feel like friends etc... obviously you can't like everyone and not everyone can like you but on average it's quite nice! It's like a magical life that you're actually leading in real life! So it's awesome! I agree with everything you said above too!

The staff here are great! Best I've seen so far in a site!

How can you change your House? I was told that wasn't possible. The only way to 'change' your House is to deactivate and activate a new character to try to get in a new House.

I know you can change your wand by taking 'wandmaker' ability but where did you find out you could change your House for your character? I didn't see an ability letting you do that and if it's not an ability, how do you do it? If you could let me know that would be awesome!!! Unless you were just saying that it would be nice to change your House? But from the way you wrote it, it sounded like you actually could? I'm getting my hopes up but at the same time trying not to get my hopes up!
