Elira sat on the end of her bed, back hunched as she looked at the clock. 21:17.

She sighed, head in her hands, reached for the butterbeer bottle that stood by the bed, and downed it, wiping her mouth as she diverted her stare to the window.
It was dark outside: and the moon was on full display.. a gorgeous, glowing crescent.

'Im gonna go shower..' she told herself and picked up her feet, dragging them towards the luxurious bathroom that was in the next room.

As she massaged the shampoo into her hair, she looked up at the ceiling, wondering if any students from Hogwarts would be there.
'most likely..' she thought. 'I guess I will find out, huh.'
Once she had finished showering 15 minutes later, she stepped out and put on the toasty warm wash gown.

Elira stood facing the mirror, eyes staring at her reflection. Yet another evening having to be all classy and respectful. She reached for the magical hair styler her parents had gifted her as one of her many birthday presents that year, and let the end touch her hair. Her hair was dry in seconds, falling in curls past her shoulders.

The clock in the bathroom read 21.35. Elira had 25 minutes before she had to be back down stairs having to meet all the guests.

After concealing her under eyes, using some mascara and applying blush her to her defined cheekbones, she stepped back, running her hands through her curls, before tying it up with a black bow and leaving the room.

Once fully ready, Elira stepped out of her room and walked down the grand stairs, watching as house elves scurried about, making last-minute finalizations.

"the people who dont have to go to this stupid event are so goddamn lucky." she muttured, and waited near the foot of the stairs with her parents as they waited for the guests to arrive.
