Outfit: School RobesLarino walked out of class, hastily pushing his things inside his bag, and pulling his rock out of his pocket. As he walked outside, he placed his wand inside his pocket, very frustrated at how terrible at magic he was. He did find the freedom of the school quite nice, but things had really gone on long enough. He was fed up at everything that had gone on at the weekend, and was, secretly, rather worried about what would happen next. But he didn't have long to be alone with his thoughts, because as soon as he stepped outside, he was pushed onto the floor.
His rock flew out of his hand, and he was almost squashed by his bag on his back- those textbooks really did weigh a ton. But he didn't particularly mind it, since he was more focused on the possibility of losing his most prized possession. To most, it just seemed like an ordinary rock (which it was), but he had found it a long time ago, and it had quite a lot of sentimental value. To lose it would crush him; he needed to get it back, and soon.
But there were still important matters to be sorted: like who it was that had pushed him. He growled to them, "Watch where you're walking."Post layout and graphics by Larino Arveli

A Slight Misunderstanding

Lily was walking out of class as she went to look for her cousin, Colin McCoire. She wasn’t really paying attention to where she was walking to begin with. She was more or less just thinking. Lily wasn’t good at paying attention and she was clumsy. Taking her necklace out she slipped it over her head and into her neck. It was a beautiful locket that her adoptive dad had bought her.
Just as she finished she ran into someone and knocked them down. She lost her balance also but managed to stable herself. She had dropped her bag and everything spilled out. Cursing to herself, she cleaned the stuff up and put it neatly in her bag. Lily stood up and looked at the boy she knocked down. A Slytherin. Perfect. Not. “I am so sorry. Lily picked up his rock and held it out to him. Meanwhile, she thought she saw Colin but she wasn’t sure. It could have been anyone. Biting her lip, she looked up quickly. Nothing. Then the boy said: “Watch where you're walking” Lily sighed getting a tad bit annoyed. “It wasn't my fault. Not really. And I apologized.”

Outfit: School RobesLarino slowly got up and turned to see who it was that had pushed him. A Gryffindor girl whom he didn't know. Not what he expected, since many would have a reason to do such a thing on purpose. He picked up his rock, held it out to him, and apologized. It seemed sincere, but he wasn't going to let his guard down. Besides, if it was intentional, he didn't want to let her see his... quirks.
He waited for the corridors to clear enough before he would take it and get annoyed at her. It wasn't his fault that he didn't understand that accidents happen, and that not everyone had it out for him. He slowly, cautiously took his most prized possession back, but didn't trust the girl. She seemed to think that it wasn't her fault. Second mistake (the first was pushing him in the first place). Her third, and likely not the last, mistake was telling him that she had apologized. Larino really didn't like people who stated the obvious.
He simply lost his temper. Thankfully, the corridors had mostly cleared so not much of a scene was made, but he started to speak sternly through gritted teeth: "I don't care if you say you're sorry. What is done cannot be undone. You still did it and you can't change it." He would likely regret this in a minute or two, but he'd had a frustrating couple of days.Post layout and graphics by Larino Arveli

ReducioLarino turned around to see a Gryffindor girl apologizing for pushing him over. He didn't trust that this girl had done it by accident, so growled a few words back at her through his teeth. He knew he'd soon regret it, but needed to get his frustration out somehow.============

Lily's voice was as unmistakable up ahead in the corridor ahead as was her red hair. Colin wondered what sort of trouble his first year cousin was getting up to now. Harassing some poor Hufflepuff no doubt! As he made his way through the crowd of students, he noticed that many of them were looking at him. Not just weird Colin being weird, but weird Colin who was involved in not one, but two knife incidents in the Slytherin dorms. He'd heard stories. And he imagined quite few more! House Slytherin had certainly made a name for itself this year. He'd never heard of an incident in school history where a student tried to knife a fellow in his bed while he slept!
As he got closer, it became clear that Lily was talking to a boy. A Slytherin boy. Colin had seen him in the common room and at the table, but hadn't talked to him. He didn't know his name, but he did know that he had a curious collection of interesting pebbles and rocks! Colin himself had found a few interesting pebbles during his explorations of the school grounds, as well as some other interesting objects.
There was something --- odd --- about the Slytherin boy. Colin couldn't quite his finger on it. Anyway, the boy made a rather strong retort to Lily. He sounded mad. She did it and can't change it? He came up behind the younger Slytherin, as silently as hunting predator, his bare feet making no sound on the stone floor of the corridor. He was certain that Lily could see him a mile away, but she didn't seem to mark his approach. Too busy arguing no doubt!
Colin nudged his house mate gently in the back. "What's this then!? Are you two breaking any rules? Brown! You look guilty! What did you do?" he asked. As he slipped around the boy's side, he positioned himself where he could see both Lily and Larino.

Lily saw Colin and didn’t hear half of what he said. All she heard was Brown! You look guilty! What did you do? And that sent here over the edge. “Why does everyone blame me? Not everything is my fault! At least I take the blame on some occasions and not like other people. Maybe that’s why I don’t like most Slytherins.” Lily took a deep breath, realizing she just insulted her cousins house. Why can’t she keep her mouth shut? Why oh why does she keep making the same mistakes? It’s a miracle she doesn’t have any enemies. Yet.
Her mouth was always getting her in trouble. It doesn’t help when she tries to control it because it just comes back worse. Colin knew she had a slight temper. Or she thought he knew. But this boy…. Whoever he was it wasn’t her fault that they both ran into each other at the same time. It was annoying how people always put the blame on the other person, especially when it was their fault too. I guess it’s just the way this world works now. Whatever. Now to the point of apologizing for going off and insulting the Slytherins.

Outfit: School RobesLarino was not happy. At all. He had been shoved by this Gryffindor girl on his way out of class, and she insisted on it being an accident. The boy knew that he needed to prove that he was right, despite knowing that deep inside, he was probably in the wrong. But, being the stubborn 11 year old he was, he was somehow going to prove that he was in the right, and that this girl was in the wrong. It seemed Colin, whom Larino knew from recent events, was trying to sort out what had happened.
The younger Slytherin wanted nothing to do with it, especially as how the girl, Brown, Colin had called her, had just insulted his house (and of course Colin's, but Larino wasn't too focused on the second year at the moment). Larino harshly slipped his rock into his pocket, and begun to step towards the Gryffindor. He raised his voice beyond what he would have liked, but he was letting his anger get the best of him. "What do you mean you don't like Slytherins? You know, we're not all that bad." He knew he would probably come to regret his aggression, but he certainly wasn't one to control his anger.Post layout and graphics by Larino Arveli

"Why does everyone blame you!? My dear cousin! We only blame you because you're a trouble maker!" He nodded towards Larino, saying: "And I should know a thing or two about trouble!" The younger Slytherin looked quite bothered. He shoved something into his pocket. A weapon maybe? Something magical? Colin blinked a couple times, before really paying attention to Larino.
There was something about the boy. Odd. Not queer or strange or anything. He seemed normal enough to Colin, but there was something different. He was much reminded him of Luci. Well, dark hair, first year, unsure of everything. But there was more to it.
Lily of course kept yapping. Whatever happened here, it probably wasn't all her fault. "I reckon whatever happened here, you two just need to watch yourselves in the corridors! Some sixth or seventh year might just use you as target practice!" He knew Lily was a fiery girl; but Larino he didn't know at all. He just had the --- the look. A boy who still had trouble controlling himself. Yeah. Like Luci in a way. But there was more.
Larino got up close to Lily. Colin reached out his hand, ready to clamp down on the younger Slytherin. Colin felt his hackles rise. Whoa. The vibes this boy was putting out were very strong. He didn't touch Larino. Not yet. He had nearly yelled at Lily: "What do you mean you don't like Slytherins? You know, we're not all that bad."
Colin tried to get Lily's attention with his eyes. Tried to motion for her to move along. He sensed that this could become dangerous. He was suspicious, but didn't know what Larino was capable of doing. Of course, he wanted to protect Lily, just as he'd done at the ball earlier in the year, but he also felt the need to keep Larino out of trouble. It was the same kind of responsibility he felt for Lucian. And Irina. And --- Wait, Colin thought. Why am I thinking about all the Wolves?
"Lad," he said. His voice was quiet, calm. He wanted to deescalate whatever was going on here. Colin put his hand on Larino's chest --- gently. Not enough to actually restrain, but hopefully enough to alert him. "Chill bro. Careful what you do. You've got the look about you. What are going to do? Show the Gryff that we're not all bad by biting her?"

Lily looked towards the other boy as he stepped towards her. Without thinking, she slid her wand out of her bag and stepped closer. “What do I mean? Easy. Slytherins always get in trouble and blame other people. Never themselves.” She looked him in the eye. “Too bad your a Slytherin. You’re cute.”
She stepped away and looked over at Colin. “Sorry, cuz. Had to do something.”
She took another look at the other boy and smiled softly. He was cute but she didn’t exactly want to say anything that would point towards her having a crush on him. Not that she did. She wasn’t in love with anyone. Even if she was that would be an awkward introduction. Hey I like you but I just insulted your house as well as you. Yeah awkward. Very.
Lily looked away from the Slytherin and back to Colin.”Do you know him?” She asked nodding towards the first year Slytherin . As she waited for an answer, she noticed the boy had a bit of a…. Wolfish look about him. Her sense of forboden increased. Her eyes flashed. She noticed Colin given her a warning look but she ignored it. As always.

Outfit: School RobesColin tried to calm the two first years down, and placed a hand on Larino's chest. He froze. He knew he had taken things too far, but was afraid to apologize. The second year told Larino he had 'the look', but he had no idea what that meant exactly. He then proceeded to mention biting people. How the heck does he know about this?! Larino silently thought, then realised that it was something probably easy to tell. Naturally, he began to panic. Not just from the unwanted physical contact, but from the idea that he could be easily read. Does this mean that people can tell I'm autistic?! he was really starting to panic now, especially as how that was something he really did want to keep a secret. Naturally, he pulled his rock out and started to clutch it.
And that was just when the Brown girl decided, out of the blue, to call him cute. Larino has never been called that before, and it certainly wasn't what he expected to come out of the girl's mouth. These two were playing mind games with him, surely. They did seem to be cousins, so it wouldn't surprise him if they were doing this just to confuse him. He started to slowly back away, trying to not make a sound, and silently hoping that they wouldn't notice him trying to shrink down. But he had only managed to take one step when Brown asked if Colin knew Larino. Knowing he should probably say something, he managed a quiet "No", but it was unlikely that either of them could hear him through his discomfort.Post layout and graphics by Larino Arveli

ReducioLarino went quiet and tried to back away as Colin guessed and referenced the fact that Larino was a werewolf, and the girl called him cute. He pulled out his rock as she said this, but only managed to take one step before she asked Colin whether he knew Larino or not. Knowing he should probably say something, the first year only managed one word: No.============
