another random thought crossed her mind. i wonder if anyone besides Kim and I actively pratice their martial arts or taekwondo
Bailey had zoned out, but came back to reality, as she watched the fourth year Huge Lowe enter the room. If he looked over to where she and Kim were stretching, he'd see a happy and cheerful smile on bailey's face, and a glint of excitement in her eyes.
Monica entered in a rush, and seemed to be out of breath. She introduced herself, and Bailey was grateful for the reminder of her name. Bailey had seen the girl around the castle, but could not remember interacting with her before.
Next to enter was Ethan Smith, a first year from Griffindor. One of bailey's fellow third years, Nicholas McCowan soon followed. He was practically the opposite of Bailey, from what she knew of him. He entered slouching, and had an air of ... almost sadness, and negativity around him.

"The Ballroom..?" Daphne mumbled to herself, being a bit confused as she made her way up to the fourth floor. If this was self-defense then why it would be in a place meant for dancing? She didn't really want to ask though considering she didn't own the club, she was sure that the leader had a good reason. She entered the ballroom, glad to see that she wasn't late and members were still coming in. Daphne was here to learn self-defense, she hadn't met any bullies yet but she was sure that one day that she would. And what if there was a monster too on Hogwarts grounds? Daphne couldn't rely on her wand forever, nor did she try to perfect her skills 24/7 since she wasn't looking to be an Auror or on the official dueling team anytime soon.
She was not surprised to see Kim and Bailey here even though they didn't make the club, as they seemed very involved in general when it came to the clubs at Hogwarts. Seeing an older student with a clipboard, Daphne went to him first, beaming up at him. "Hi! You're taking the attendance, right? I was in charge of that before in one of the other clubs!" Rather than beginning to stretch, she introduced herself, not being intimidated by the older years (for now). "I'm Daphne Sapphirus, I'm a first year and even though I'm a Hufflepuff I'm ready to defend!" She began to ramble on, forgetting that he was probably on a busy schedule.
"Making a self-defense club was a great idea! There's so many dangers in life that you never know when you need to defend yourself or others! You know, you should consider collaborating with the Martial Arts club because a lot of martial arts have self-defense techniques! Boxing and wrestling do too-did you know the origin of self defense actually came from Normans in 1066? They are basically French Vikings who had to take life more seriously and find legal ways to fight after the King expanded his rule! My brother told me about this, he's a martial artist and really is into a lot of sporty things-"
