Ah, the BCCB, more commonly known as the BaiKim Christmas Celebration Bash. I had seen the poster outside of the Ballroom quite a few times as I walked to the Dueling Room to practice my spells, nut it was ultimately Daphne that had gotten me to attend it. And I agreed. Why did I agree? I dunno, probably because I had a crush on her and wouldn’t mind going to another ball with her. I mean, I had a crush on a dozen other girls in the school, the only thing different about Daphne was the fact that I was actually friends with her. That was probably why I had a bigger crush on her then I had on any other girl in the school. Anyways, enough about Daphne. In preparation for the BCCB, I had enlisted the help of my friend Simon to change the color of my suit to a nice navy blue. The reason for this was that I didn’t want to bother my parents with getting me a navy blue suit, and I didn’t know the color-changing charm either.

Now that it was the date of the ball however, I donned my suit from the previous ball which now had a few changes. First of all, I wasn’t wearing a trench coat, second, I wasn’t wearing a yellow scarf, third, I had replaced by tie for a navy bowtie that had originally been black, and fourth, I wasn’t wearing my Gentleman Slapping Gloves. All of these changes made my outfit looked very different then it had back during the Fall Ball. I walked into the Ballroom and was immediately greeted by Bailey and Kim. “Hey, I know you guys!” I responded to them. “You’re both from the Prank Club and you’re from the One v One Dueling Club! Anyways, it’s nice to see you guys. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do the big prank this year but I promise we’ll be able to do it in January. Anyways, I’ll go find my date now.” And with those words, I left the pair alone.

I looked around the Ballroom for Daphne, and as I was looking for her, I saw another member of the Prank Club and the One v One Dueling Club. His name was Damion, and he was the very kid I was going to be dueling January of the next year. As I continued looking, I saw my Quill Pal and Beater for the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team, Rita Su, and I’m not gonna lie, she was wearing a pretty dress too. Then again everyone was dressed in nice suits and pretty dresses. Part of me wanted to go up to her and strike up a conversation, but another part of me wanted to continue searching the room for my date. I picked the latter and continued looking around. As I did this, I saw two more people from the Prank Club whose names I had forgotten, and then my eyes landed on…

‘Well well well… if it isn’t the mentally disabled girl.’ I thought. ‘I really should stop calling her that, she was probably just in a bad mood or something that day. I mean, it still doesn’t excuse her for… wait, is she a metamorphmagi?’ Indeed, the tips of the girl’s hair were turning a shade of blue. ‘Wait, why am I surpirsed? Didn’t I already know that? I meam, her hair had turned red the first time we met. But that’s besides the point, I mean, even if she was in a bad mood, that still doesn’t excuse her from calling me a jerk after bumping into me. Eh, I should probably go apologize to her. After all, I can’t go around making enemies with people if I’m going to be seeing them in places like this. And I best come up to her now before she comes up to me later and recites her version of events in front of Daphne.’ Speaking of Daphne, I scanned the room for the girl once more, and as I saw no sign of her, I went towards the girl, making sure to walk towards her in a way that would make sure that I’d ended up behind her without her noticing me.

The reason why I went this way was because she was talking to a boy and I didn’t want her to pause their conversation when she saw me. On my way there however, I noticed the tips of the boys hair go from blue blond. ‘Oh, so they’re both metamorphmagi? Well, that nice to know.’ When I came, the boy was speaking to her, and once he had finished telling her that he was horribly bad at narrating the past, I walked around the girl so that the pair be able to see me. If she wanted to say anything about me being there then she’d have to interrupt me because no sooner was I in front of them had I begun speaking. “Well hello… Yes it’s me, the jerk. Now don’t worry, I’m not here to be a jerk again, I’m just her to apologize.” Not that I was a jerk in the first place, but if I told her that then the girl would never think that I was genuinely apologizing. Not that I was since I didn’t do anything wrong, except maybe mock her a bit. And now that I thought about it, if I was going to be genuinely apologizing about anything, it was going to be about that. “Look, I get it, I’m a jerk. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and accidentally bumped into you, it happens all the time at Hogwarts. I’m really sorry I blamed you for it and then mocked you about the situation afterwards. I shouldn’t have done that and…” I trailed off looking downwards. As I thought about how to finish, I looked back up at Ava and said “Listen, I just hope you don’t have any hard feelings about what happened, that’s all.” Well, hopefully she remembered the event exactly as she had made it out to be back in the corridor. Otherwise, she’d know I was lying.

Between herself and Kim, they could get anything done, Bailey had to admit. We do make a pretty good team, don't we. The owl buddy pairing system really knew that this was meant to be - that we were meant to be together. Bailey thought, and then realized how that sounded in her head. just as friends... just as best friends she added mentally.
Smiling at Kim, he smiled back albet a bit tiredly. aww Kim... you need help.. you have to let someone in, let someone help
Ducking her head to not let Kim she her blushing, she messed with her dress, making sure it was not wrinkled.
As Kim placed the crown on her head, Bailey felt butterflies, and couldn't figure out why.
all he did was place a crown on my head!!!! her mind screamed. and then it hit her - he had called her his 'Sunshine Princess' that had to be what the butterflies were about.
She quickly crowned Kim as well, before he could run away.
As she was dancing by herself, and then tripped, Bailey was honestly surprised that Kim had caught her. i though for sure he was fixing something... does this mean he was watching me?
Breathless, Bailey looked up into Kim's blue eyes, and said "Yes.. I'm ok. Apparently the dancing lessons and practice in heels wasn't enough to stop my clumsiness.. thank you for.. for catching me."
This was the most flustered Bailey had ever been around Kim, and she was starting to wonder why. She did have a few theories.... but there was NO way.. no way that they were true. Right?

The first to enter was Damion, and he greeted both of them, calling Bailey pretty, and saying the suit Kim was wearing made Kim look handsome. Bailey smiled and said to Damion "Thank you! You look great as well!"
Rita was next to enter, and Bailey smiled and welcomed her as well. "Welcome! And yes, this is the BaiKim Ball!"
Someone bailey only vaguely knew, Adia, was next to arrive. Bailey waived at him, but didn't want to leave her conversation with Kim, Dami, and Rita she was currently involved in.
Pandora was next, and she came up to Bailey. She seemed super nervous, and bailey wanted to make her as comfortable as possible.
"hello Pandora! You look great! Where is your date?"
A Slytherin named Larino entered and bailey smiled at him, still unable to exit her conversation.
Oliver Brown address Bailey and Kim, and presented them each with a gift. Bailey opened hers, and smiled. "I love them!!! And they fit perfectly with my school outfits - Thank you Oliver!!" Bailey smiled, holding the earrings Oliver had gifted her. She slipped them back into the box, and when she had a chance she would set it on her chair.
Ayda, a first year Slytherin was next to approach, and she complemented both of them and then started flirting with Kim. Bailey just HAD to protect her best friend, and said "Hello and thank you! You look good as well - where is your date?"
A boy was waiting by the door for his date presumably, and then lily Brown entered. Next was Taisia, who approached her and Kim to say hello. Bailey smiled at her dorm mate, and said a quick "hello! You look great!"
A hufflepuff, Aurora, was next to approach and complemented the party planners. Bailey smiled again, and said "Thank you! I just barely convinced Kim to wear the crown, but i managed to get him to wear it!"
A girl entered, with the boy who had been waiting just outside. She waived to bailey and Kim, and Bailey waived back. that has to be Lucas and Ayuna Bailey thought, mentally checking them off the list of attendees.
Gabriel, another first year, turned out to be Pandora's date.
Bailey saw Taizu enter, and bailey grabbed Kim's hand, intending to lead him over to taizu so they could both say hello to their dear friend. But before she could go anywhere, Thorn approached them and started talking about the ball, and then apologizing about the trouble she had caused at archery. Bailey smiled, but it was a tad tight. "no worries, just make sure you have permission next time!"
Jack Burnett, someone bailey had met on a random day outside when he almost knocked himself out by flying into a statue, was next to enter. He was followed by Charlie, another of bailey's dormmates. Ava entered next, going up to Oliver.
The last person to arrive was David, and he approached Bailey. He mentioned them both being in his prank club, which they were, and then Kim being in some sort of dueling club.
“Hello David!” Bailey said cheerfully. “no worries, just let me know when and where you need me for the prank!”

step three: enjoy and food and drinks and dance. There will be snacks and light drinks from 1 PM to 3:30 PM, and the dance floor will be open the entire time, with music provided.
Dinner will be served at 4 PM, or after the second or third mod post. On our posts, Kim and I will include announcements for dinner, and there are seating arrangement. I will include a floor plan, with your seating arrangement, in both a group owl, attachment on my post, and in the sign up thread.

Oliver seemed confused how I knew what his talent was. I hadn’t seen him use it until now. It was a great talent but I shared some of his reservations about it. "Wait- Wha?- how'd you know?" I gave him a small smile. He had lowered his voice, probably afraid someone had overheard the conversation. I didn’t understand why he was so panicked though. His eyes looked up and found his blue tipped hair, finally understanding. He looked nervous, until he noticed her hair. "No way- you’re a metamorphagi too?" I nodded, focusing on nothing other then keeping my blue hair blue and his statements. He looked excited, then it turned to fear. "Can you uh- keep this between us? I don't really publicly display it if you know what I mean." I stared at him for a second. His—our—talent was amazing, and he shouldn’t hide it. But if he wanted me to keep it under wraps… “Okay,” I agreed. I didn’t want to loose what we had here. A trusting friendship. He seemed deep in thought, I wondered what he was thinking about. He suddenly smiled, and looked back at me.

"How did you learn that you were a metamorphagus?" He asked. "I learnt it when I had a big argument with my brother, next day, I wasn't who I was. Technically I was- but I just wasn't- you get what I mean right? I'm horribly bad at narrating the past haha!" I laughed along with him. He did seem to have a little trouble with story telling. “I-” I began, then stopped. Did he really want to hear my story? It wasn’t a good one at best, and leaned more on the ‘rude mother’ side. But he was trustworthy, I reasoned with myself. But what if he feels bad for you? I countered. Well, I was keeping his metamorphmagus talent a secret, so surely he would keep this a secret? “Okay, don’t tell anyone.” I stared into his eyes until he agreed, needing to see that he was completely serious. When he agreed, I would begin. “So it’s the day school pictures come in,” I would begin, closing my eyes and imagining it. “My stepbrothers—” she spat the word, but felt bad after. “My stepbrother and half brother,” she corrected, feeling a little better but still hating just telling the story. “are the favorites in the family. My step-mum sees their pictures—absolutely perfect pictures from them—” I rolled my eyes. “then she sees my pictures and they are just the ugliest thing she’s ever seen. She doesn’t like how flat my eyes look. Imagine little me, running to my room crying.” She opened her eyes to peek at Oliver, but closed them again quickly. “I’m sitting at my vanity, then my dad and step-mum walk in. Now, my dad’s a smart man,” she admitted. “very perceptive. Noticed my eyes had changed colors immediately. Told my step-mum to give me some space. Once she left, he yelled at me and told me to stop using that ‘hocus pocus’. Used those two words a lot when I was growing up. He’s a muggle.” She would explain to Oliver’s confused look. “Same with my step-mum. Didn’t learn I was a metamorphmagi until earlier this year. Kay told me when she saw me morphing in the courtyard.” she shrugged. And opened her eyes to look at Oliver. “That’s pretty much it. Ta-da?” she added with a small smile. She realized bits and pieces of her hair’s tips were turning back to normal and let them, but some of the blue still stayed.

As I finished my story, I noticed a certain someone standing nearby. Not a someone I wanted to see. I glared at him as he stepped into view. Did he think he was welcome here at the moment? If he was just here to make fun of me and embarrass me— “Well hello… Yes it’s me, the jerk. Now don’t worry, I’m not here to be a jerk again, I’m just here to apologize.” I looked at him in surprise. If I was expecting him to say anything, it was not that. I couldn’t help but wonder if he was actually serious. Where was this going? But maybe people in this place weren’t as bad as they seemed? I had begun to come to terms that it was partially my fault for bumping into him in the halls, but I would let him finish before I spoke. “Look, I get it, I’m a jerk. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and accidentally bumped into you, it happens all the time at Hogwarts. I’m really sorry I blamed you for it and then mocked you about the situation afterwards. I shouldn’t have done that and…” I waited for him to finish, feeling more and more sorry the more he said. He really did seem genuine…If he didn’t end his rant rudely, I would apologize as well. Maybe. “Listen, I just hope you don’t have any hard feelings about what happened, that’s all.” He seemed to be finished with his apology, so I started. “I’m sorry too. I feel like I was in a bad mood that day—which is no excuse—but I still shouldn’t have yelled at you and blamed you. Even if it was kinda your fault.” I smirked at him, but if you looked into my eyes you would see that I was joking. Mostly. “We good?” I asked, holding out a hand for him to shake.

He said one last thing. “Oh, and also, you two have a nice talent if you know what I mean.” I smiled. “Thanks.” I glanced at Oliver, wondering if he wanted the older boy to know. He had seemed really nervous before, and I had basically given away both of our talents. Unless David had noticed before I changed my hair… I looked at David with a look that said, don’t mess this up for me.

"See?" He grinned as she made a comment about taking some of the blame. "If only we could of came to that conclusion back then.." He trailed off, his tone far from serious. "But, uh.. I suppose I could accept that maybe there was a small, so incredibly small, chance that perhaps.. Quite possibly I wasn't fully aware of where I was walking." He said sheepishly.

"Taking your wand was.. Well, a feat of incredible accidental thievery. Quite impressive if anything." He shrugged dismissively, looking down into her eyes, his grin returning. He wasn't sure whether he owed her revenge in the form of some great humiliation or physical pain, or he'd have to do something nice for her at some point. Either was probably justified, but he was a bit more keen on the latter.

Lucas looked around the room, finally finding the table once she pointed it out, going to lead her over in that direction. "Yeah, can do. I'm not sure it's time to eat quite yet, but we can wait." He went to pull her chair out for her, which felt like the appropriate thing to do, before lowering himself into his own seat.

If they were perfectly honest, Pax wasn't too keen on going to this Christmas party. Even though it was hosted by their friend Kim, they knew that they could be using this time on the pitch. That's what their life had been ever since the defeat. Eat, sleep (barely), quidditch, repeat.

Alas, Kim had also been preoccupied with his own struggles so far this school year, and Pax hoped their presence might help cheer him up at least a little. So they'd forgone their training for just a night to join in some revelry.

They didn't own much fancy clothing, so they'd have to go with something simple, but classic. A crisp white shirt with a thin black tie matched with smart grey trousers and a smooth black blazer would have to do, they decided. With one more ruffle of their hair, a slight loosening of their tie and an extra tighten of their shoes' laces, they were satisfied and made their way to the ballroom.

Scanning the entrance for any familiar faces, Pax noticed a variety of groups and students that had gathered. Several first-years in various houses, some older students, a couple in Pax's own year. Nobody they were particularly close to though. Maybe they'd be able to slip out early then.

Approaching Kim and Bailey with small gifts in hand, Pax smiled at the pair. They really did look like a couple, they couldn't deny.

"Hey, thanks for hosting this. Looks pretty fricking cool. Oh, and I got you both something. It's nothing expensive or lavish, but, hey, it's Christmas isn't it?"

Pax handed over a chocolate frog to the both of them. Not knowing Bailey too well, it was a safe bet she'd like chocolate. And if she didn't, she could always give it to Kim.

They offered another awkward smile as they moved on past the two, not really knowing who to interact with or what to do. They'd always claimed to be social, but in truth it had been a while since they'd been to an event like this, and they felt pretty out of place.

Ava talked about how she first realized a metamorphagus, he felt, kind of bad. He knew he couldn't have possible done anything before- but still. It sounded like a horrible childhood, having your stepmother clearly have favorites. It was even harder having a muggle father who hadn't learnt how to respect you as a wizard or witch. "Oh- I'm sorry about that- but hey! Were here right now! You don't have to worry about that! Your dorm mates are your family now! And besides, you've got me to turn too!" He told her grinning. A few seconds later however, a boy came he looked much older, the unprecedented arrival scared him, but it didn't let that show. He was talking to Ava, appologizing? He had no clue what was going on. He didn’t understand much, but there was one thing that stood out at the end, You two have a nice talent if you know what I mean, the boy had said, the second after he finished, He jerked out of his chair, “Gotta go to the bathroom” he murmured before hurrying out of the ballroom, once he was far enough, he sat on the floor. It was clear he didn’t need to go to the bathroom, maybe keeping this all a secret wasn’t right. He didn’t know anymore, all he knew was that he wanted to crumple up and disappear. He knew he had to go back after a while, his eyes closed, he tried to clear his thoughts.

Pandora advanced quickly. Why was it so hard for Gabriel to use words? She wondered if it would be good for him to go outside and breathe. She thought about it when she went to the others.

"Thanks Bailey. I came with Gabriel, but I feel very different. I mean, she's sweet, but words are hard to come by. So I don't know what to do."

She didn't know why he said that. She went away after a while. She just wanted to breathe. It was then that she saw Oliver sitting on the ground and came over and sat down next to his.

"Hi Oliver. Isn't it a nice party? You're so handsome. Why are you sitting here? Are you okay?"

She looked at Oliver with curious eyes. Oliver's eyes were closed. Maybe a little talk would put her at ease. I couldn't help but wonder if I was bothering. As she thought about this, she realized that her eyes were filled with involuntary tears. She wiped her eyes. Maybe she should go back.

"Maybe I should go. But I do not know.So I don't know what to do. Next to you was Ava. Is Ava your partner?" She asked curiously.

22/12/22, 01:00PMish Kayla thought she was done with balls the minute the Fall Ball ended. Her feet were sore from wearing pumps, she was exhausted from being up, interacting the whole day. Then there had been the incident with a girl...the girl had almost died. No, after that, Kayla thought she was pretty much done with those kind of things. But then the Baikim Bash came up. At first, Kayla said she'd leave it. Then she kept thinking about who was going to be there, the food and, of course, Kim and Bailey. If they were the ones hosting the event, Kayla had to attend. First off, Bailey and Kim were excellent bakers. All the clubs she was part of, if they were in it, every meeting guaranteed food. Also, Kayla was curious about the rumours. Were they true, were they not? Were Bailey and Kim dating? Kayla was never particularly fond of rumours, usually it was a bunch of stuff that people make up, but this Bailey and Kim situation had to be true. They were always together. If it wasn't, Kayla would be honestly disappointed. They were just so adorable together, how could they not decided to get together? The other reason Kayla didn't want to go to another ball, was because of the outfit thing. Kayla pestered her brother (through owls) to get her a dress for the previous ball, she didn't really feel like asking him again for another. Not like Kayla liked dresses, but the dress she chose was really pretty. That's exactly why she had an older sister with five years of Hogwarts experience. Alyassa always had clothes for Kayla. Whether it being caxual or formal, Alyassa packed it all for her little sister. Because thats what siblings do. Also, Kayla had litterally no idea where her fall ball dress had ended up, or she would've just worn that. Perhaps Alyassa took it? Kayla didn't know. But she did know that her sister had a closet worth of clothes in her trunk. Later the day of the bash, Kayla met her sister in the lavatory to receive her dress. Kayla's sister hadn't told the young Hufflepuff what she was going to receive. It was supposed to be a 'surprise'. Kayla loved surprises, but surprises from her siblings weren't exactly what she liked. If it was Liam or Dylan it would be fine, because those two were harmless. But the rest were brutal. Especially her so called quiet older sister. But the dress she got from her sister was the most beautiful creation she had ever seen. "Wow," Kayla breathed, running her hands over the blue material. "where do you get all these things?" "My secret," Alyassa said with a smile, "Now go put it on, I wanna deal with that birds nest." Alyassa pointed at Kayla's hair, which she had not brushed that morning. Why brush hair if it didn't need it? Kayla rolled her eyes and went into a stall with her dress and came out a few moments later. "I love it. Aly can I have it? Pleaseeeee?" she begged her sister, shaking the Gryffindors arm. "I love you, but no," Alyassa told her sister plainly and Kayla sighed. "I tried," she murmured. Alyassa got a blue brush and started brushing Kayla's hair, trying to smooth her hair back. Alyassa fired her sister questions as she atempted to tame Kayla's wild red hair. The dye she boutht was cheap, so it was already slightly faded. It also happened to make her hair hair darker...yay. Alyassa finished touching up Kayla's hair, which now looked less like a birds nest and now more like someone who had actually tried to make effort with their hair. After, Alyassa gave Kayla a necklace with her star sign on it (it was apparently a late birthday gift) and star earings as accessories. After that, Kayla put on white socks and slid her feet into white converse shoes, which Alyassa did not approve of. But if Aly got to choose her hairstyle (not like there was much to style) and dress, Kayla got to choose the shoes. There was also another thing, Kayla was wearing make up. Now, Kayla didn't like the process of dabbing things on her face. But Aly insisted. Kayla now had blue lips and slightly pink cheeks, as her skin was quite pale there was never much colour on them. Alyassa was the same way but you couldn't really tell. She also had blue eyeshadow to match, which was a bit more than she bargained for. Once Alyassa stopped ranting about how pale Kayla was, she stepped back to admire her work. She had transformed Kayla from Kayla to elegant Kayla. Alyassa looked like she wanted to cry. "What're you getting worked up about?" Kayla asked, confused by her sister's show of emotion. "You looked liked you just got plucked from the streets, now you look like a disney character. I should become a beauty artist!" Alyassa sniffed and Kayla whacked her sister's arm. When Kayla arrived at the bash, she was still surprised by the vastness of the room. She looked around and already wanted to just walk around and touch the walls. It was huge and beautiful, Bailey and Kim had done a great job. Speaking of the two, Kayla walked over to the couple duo and almost sobbed the way Alyassa had. "You guys are so adorable I wanna cry," Kayla said to them, "I'll leave you guys be but wow. You guys look beautiful." Not even stunning was the word, not cute, not handsom, straight beautiful. Kim seemed in no mood to stick around, in fact, he left to a less crowned place and Kayla looked at Bailey. "He's not a people person," she annoucned. Very different from Kayla, Kayla was a huge people person. "Again, Bailey you look beautiful. Seriously." Kayla smiled at the Ravenclaw before walking around some more. She actually did touch the walls and it was surprisingly smooth. In her wall - touching faze, she spotted an older Hufflepuff who she was quite fond of. "Riri!" Kayla walked over to her friend and grinned. "You look so nice, how're you?" she asked her friend with a smile.
