Elizabeth was reading in the library, far too engrossed in the book to notice a few other girls. A curtain of soft, slightly curled hair covered her from sight, but a visible copper and red uniform color made it obvious that she was a Gryffindor. At first, it came as a shock. She had always expected Slytherin or Ravenclaw, but was fairly disappointed when she was sorted into Gryffindor. But she was too proud. She resolved to try as hard as possible - she was determined, all right.
Elizabeth Taylor Brown was always very sunny, and today she seemed even happier than usual. Perhaps it was just the book, magic...or Hogwarts, really. The library table became one of her permanent recess places - not that she needed recess, she was still waiting for her classes to start. Oh, how envious she was of all the people studying - having homework!
Her eyes were a soft color of tender blue. Her father always joked and said "You could get away with murder, the way you look at Mother for a another piece of cake!". Ah. That was true. Elizabeth had always had a sweet tooth, and was very happy to purchase her favorite - Walnut Cake with thick, soft cream or Carrot Cake with a delightful sponge.

Cassie Jiang walked pass, as a Ravenclaw, she loves to stay in the Library. She was new in this place and she longs to find a friend. This girl might be a good friend, she thought, she seems to like reading as well! She is waiting for her lessons to start as well~
She walks to her and said,'Hello, I am Cassie, nice to meet you! Wanna read books together?' I am so excited, this might be my future best friend at Hogwarts? I scanned around the library and saw a lot of people doing homework. I wanted to do some homework so badly! But now, all I can do is to read and read. My fingers went touching on some of the books. I love the feeling of book covers, I don't know why.
I looked up at this girl infront of me again. She is pretty indeed, with brown hair and blue eyes. She looks very smart, the kind I love. Maybe we can study and have fun together in the future! I know that destiny will give me one best friend at Hogwarts. I am just wondering if it could be this girl infront of me. Perhaps she like the same books with me, I'd have to ask. 'Hello, what books do you like? Maybe we can read together!'

In the Library
Elizabeth gasped softly. She turned around, curiousity cancelling out the fleeting fear. There stood a girl, about the age of 11 and a Ravenclaw.
"Hello. Can you study yet?" She whispered politely, surveying the girl in front of her.
"My name is Elizabeth Taylor Brown, I'm a First Year Gryffindor." She said, her vivid, attractive eyes round and a bit nervous. She fingered her books without realizing what she had done. They were schoolbooks, anyone could realize. They all seemed to be about Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology....Charms, Flying....in fact, there were more than just one for each subject. She had a bag, which was lying half opened with yet more books. One, although, was particularly eyes catching. It was a beautiful, crystal clear moonstone color that shone in the gloomy depths of the bag and a silver, equelly glisstening pen with the initials engraved on it: E.L.B E.T.B
It was most curious. Elizabeth was still looking dreamily at the girl and wondering what she must be like. A Ravenclaw..no doubt studies a lot. I must be pretty feeble, reading a few books. I bet they have hundreds in their dorms....She cast a wary eye on the books in the Library, wondering if she could possible read these before her next year.
