Lily got ready to go to the celebration party that Bailey Glade and Kim Aoki were hosting. She slid on a blue dress that was exactly the same as to the one she wore to the Fairietale Ending ball. As she looked at herself in the mirror trying to fix her hair, she remembered everything that happened that night. The pain, the fear. She shook her head to get rid of the memories.
She put on some silver sandals and put on a headband that had a white flower on it. It was one of Lily’s favorites. She grabbed a white purse and slid her wand in it, just in case. Lily wasn’t expecting to use it, but still. She wasn’t expecting to be attacked by a doll either. She walked to where the ball was being held. Her seating arrangement was next to her cousin Colin McCoire and her friend Oliver Brown. That was going to be fun! Semi! Most of the people going Lily didn’t know. So here’s a chance to meet some new friends and maybe have more than just friends. She was really excited especially because this was the fourth party she’s been to since she came to Hogwarts.

Having her sister shop for an outfit for every occasion was not practical at all. Yet here they were again. She had to admit, Althea had much more style than her. But the endless owls, photos and sizings were tiring. It was lucky the events weren’t spur of the moment. When she went back for Christmas she decided they would go look for a Valentine’s dress, in case there was an event. The dress she had chosen was light blue tulle, with silver hearts all over. It was off the shoulder, which Taisia had never worn before, and the cheat area was a little big, but when the night came, it looked fine. She was uncomfortable wearing heels, so Althea had chosen some light blue flats.

Bailey had left the dorm about an hour ago, heading off to set up. Taisia had debated offering her help, but knew she would probably be more in her way. She had watched carefully as Bailey did her make up, taking it in for later. Althea had sent some basic mascara and a bit of blush, saying that was all their mother had approved for her eleven year old daughter. Taisia would not have worn make up anyway, but Althea had said she had to wear it and take a photo for proof. So, reluctantly, Tai had copied Bailey, swiping her cheeks with blush and attempting to do her mascara, which went under her eye lid. She wiped it off, fixed her blush, and quickly scribbled a note to send to Althea telling her she had attempted mascara.

Then she decided to head down to the ball. She left a bit earlier than usual, but she had to be careful in her dress so she didn't find herself sprawling.

There weren't many people when she arrived, 9 in fact, excluding the hosts. She only recognized Lucas from the library, and Lily from the Fairietale Ball. A night she had made herself forget. She wondered how Lily actually was doing, but they didn't know each other. Plus, it was kind of weird to go up to someone and say, 'hey! How are you since I was helping you when you were almost dying?'

She forgot about the girl when she saw the seating chart. She recognized some names as she searched for her own, finally finding it in the middle table beside Bailey and Kim. That was exciting. And, it was the perfect chance to talk to her about the rumors. Especially how they would make their way back around the school again, since they held the party together.

Taisia went looking for Bailey and found her- well, where else? Standing beside Kim. They were wearing matching crowns. She headed over to the happy couple party planners.
"Hey Bailey, hi Kim!"
Taisia realized that the two had never actually met, and wondering if he even knew who she was? Everyone know who he was. Plus, being Bailey's bunkmate you were bound to know half the school, since she was friends with everyone.

Three words- I. Love. Parties. It can be any type of party, unless it's not very fun, which there aren't many parties in the world that aren't necessarily fun. That's the exception, but even at the end, or when it comes to the food, those are enjoyable. So when I caught wind of a Christmas party, I was all hands on deck, of course. It was called the BaiKim Celebration Bash, and since it was a party, I was going to join. Turns out, I had more than one fancy dress in my trunk. I decided on a choice of outfitwear very quickly and brought my enchanted satchel with me, along with my wand(obviously) and mostly things like a handkerchief and chocolates. Getting myself "dressed up to the nines" was a lot harder than people made it look. I hurried to the ballroom and peered inside. There were already around several people there, a few I recognized. There was Bailey, Taisia, Rita, Kim, who I really didn't know that well, and someone who I recognized from debate club, Damion. I walked towards Kim and Bailey and said, "Hi Bailey, hi Kim! This is a wonderful party, and you guys look amazing, I love the crowns! I smiled and looked around the ballroom, taking everything in.

Ayuna fixed her tiara in front of the bathroom mirror. It was the day of the BaiKim Celebration and the girl was so excited! And guess what? Lucas actually asked her to the party! What could be better?! There was an explosion in her brain... the good sort... the type that carries more possibilities than she could be conscious of... but there were hundreds of ideas there in that buzz of electricity... she could feel it.

For this occasion, the girl chose a floaty pink dress with white and gold flowers sewn on. Twirling her ginger hair into an elegant victorian style and pinning some pearl hair clips, the girl smiled and put on some light pink lipstick. Earrings dotted her ears faintly and could be seen beneath the wave of ginger. And finally, she carefully put a pearl tiara with gold rims on her hair, it matched well with the hair and pink dress.

The girl walked nervously, butterflies fluttering in her stomach. She peeked around a wall and saw the magnificent doors of the ballroom. And in front of it, was a boy with blonde hair and green eyes - Lucas. Ayuna walked over as elegantly as possible and curtseyed, smiling, "You look nice!" she blushed sweetly, "Never knew you were going to invite me to the ball." Taking Lucas's hand, the girl walked into the ballroom, her mind already going crazy seeing the sweets and lollipops. "Oh, hi Bailey and Kim!" she said waving at the two, "The party look so good!"

Gabriel fixed the cuffs of his suit while smoothing his hair. He hadn't been to a fancy event in so long, he'd kind of forgotten what the "proper procedure" was. He was excited, bit nervous but mainly excited. The BaiKim Celebration seemed like a fun thing to attend and even better, he had successfully asked Pandora to go with him. They were just going as friends though, at least he was able to go with someone. He was wearing a black and white suit, with white dress shoes. Since it was a winter celebration, he figured more white than black was appropriate, but white suits weren't his style.

He headed out of his common room 10 minutes before it started, still fixing up his hair. He'd forgot to tell Pandora to meet him ahead of time, so they'd just meet at the ball instead. He reached the doors of the ballroom and walked in, looking for her. The room looked amazing, decorated perfectly for the occasion.

Alas, he spotted Pandora near the snacks table. He noticed chocolate and made a note to grab some. While walking to her he grinned, hoping to meet her eye. He turned to Bailey and Kim, organizers of the party, while still walking and greeted them. " Great decorations, looks beautiful, nice to see you." He hadn't spoken to them personally, but you tend to notice the older kids. He didn't recognize many people there; he only saw them through the halls or in classes.

He reached the table and bowed. "Beautiful as always Dora, glad you could make it." He reached out his hand as he straightened himself. The other hand was busy having a mind of its own and grabbing a chocolate, he just couldn't resist. He noticed her dress; it was rather pretty.

"Uhm, was I supposed to wear a white suit? I look hideous in white; you think anyone will care?" He muttered to her, unsure. "I like your dress." He added plainly, not sure how to say it besides being straightforward.

"I live for the applause."

Taizu never seemed to be able to get over his fear of social interaction. He had been invited to the end of the year party being thrown by Bailey and Kim, two of his closest friends, and he was mildly terrified. He never really interacted with people except for Kim on a day to day
basis, and the chance of meeting people was making his blood feel like ice.

Dressing into his formal attire, he was staring at a mirror in his common room and hoping beyond hope that he wouldn't make a humiliating example of himself while he was at the party. Adjusting his tie slightly, he took a deep breath in and exhaled, feeling his nerves calm. And with that he was outside of the commons and on his way to the party.

Taizu arrived almost precisely on time, though he was a few seconds later than he would have liked. Seeing the people there, his nerves once again began to creep through his body, and he adjusted his tie, inhaled and exhaled, and walked inside, waving to Kim and Bailey with a faintly trembling smile. He saw his seat at the second table where Kim and Bailey would sit, and his heart swelled with faint pride. He was considered a close enough friend to get to sit at the table with them, and that made his heart soar.

Feeling much braver, he looked around at the people in the ballroom, and his bravery almost immediately vanished. He was surrounded by people who were already talking and being social, and he was doing none of the sort. With a nervous glance around, he stood awkwardly alone, almost hoping he would be ignored and almost hoping he would be noticed.

Thorn had spent hours looking for a dress for the bash, but the color blue wasn't exactly her color of expertise. She had decided to lean on her brother for support he had always been good in fashion. A couple days before the bash he had given her a package that had all the necessities for the ball including make up and jewelery. It had also included this big puffy dress. Apparently he hadn't gotten the memo of she didn't want to stand out for once in her lifetime. She didn't really have any other choice though. She decided just to go with and put on the dress and everything else. After she was finished she had promptly left the dorm and made her way to the ballroom.

Once she arrived she was taken aback by the decorations. she usually preferred a much gloomier setting, but this was...this was beautiful. She spotted Kim and Bailey in the corner of the room (sorry I don't know where they were standing) She casually made her way over to them or as casually as she could the dress was kinda big. "Thank you for inviting me, the decorations are beautiful. I hope I didn't cause too muc trouble at the archery meeting the other day" she said waiting for them to respond before excusing herself from the conversation. She never really knew how to excuse herself from a conversation without feeling awkward about it. She gazed around the ballroom before spotting a boy in the corner and made her way over to them. Hi! You looked nice! she gushed.

Larino had been standing awkwardly in the corner while everyone arrived for what felt like forever, but in reality it had only been a few minutes. He waited patiently for someone he knew to show their face, but to no avail. At least not yet. He had already gotten his rock out when a girl walked over to him, and... complemented him..? At least he thought so, he wasn't great at picking up or replying in the right way about these things.

"Oh, thanks, I guess." Is this small talk? I'm terrible at small talk. Especially people I don't know, like her. But she seemed nice, so he was trying to at least make an attempt at conversing with others. "I sometimes feel a little strange wearing kimonos to events like this, but I do like it." He waited a second, then added: "Oh, and I'm Larino by the way." He thought he should introduce himself, since it was probably customary. But this conversation felt like it was going alright, or at least, he hoped so. This didn't feel like his usual conversations at social events. Here, he felt more relaxed. The atmosphere was quite calming, and everyone seemed friendly. But he could only hope that he had made a good first impression, as it only takes seconds to make one, but an eternity to change one. He had learnt that the hard way more then enough times.

To reduce confusion in his outfit, here is a short description of each clothing item Larino is wearing:

Kimono: traditional Japanese garment, worn by both males and females, vaguely resembles a dress
Haori: a jacket worn over the kimono
Jika-Tabi: tabi are socks, where the big toe is split off from the rest; jika-tabi are tabi with a rubber sole on the bottom to be worn as shoes rather than socks

When Pandora turned in the direction of the voice, she saw Gabriel bending over to greet. She was glad that he came. She shook her outstretched hand as she straightened. She shook her outstretched hand as she straightened. She thought she should speak. With a friendly voice

“Glad you could come, Gabriel. How are you? These parties are not for me. It could be because of the sound."

She had been a little too honest, but he could have said he was Gabriel's friend, I guess. She broke out of her own thoughts with Gabriel's voice.

“Thanks. You're handsome too. I mean, the outfit suits you."

God, she couldn't understand why he couldn't speak properly. Maybe from stress, she thought.

“I think you are handsome either way. And difference is always beautiful."

Yes, it took him a long time to realize what he was saying. Her eyes widened when she realized this. She thought she might have misunderstood.

"I didn't mean it like that. You're handsome but not my type. You're my type but not like that... I'm going to wander around a bit."

She quickly left from there. She couldn't understand what she was feeling. It was like she was running away. She couldn't understand why she was doing this.

In all honesty, Jack wasn't sure why he had signed up for that particular ball. He didn't consider himself much of a partier, especially when he didn't have a date. His last date at the last ball he had attended had been Ye-jun Lee, but he was a Beauxbatons student and he had already gone home a long time ago back in October. His mind wandered to Flash Holmwood every so often, but Jack still didn't have the courage to ask him to a ball again if he ever would. The last time had just been too disasterous and it hadn't help that things had been awkward between them since Jack had performed the hag ritual to get back Flash's eye. Not to mention the messy situation regarding replacing that eye. No, things were still far too difficult between the two of them for Jack to have asked Flash to accompany him.

And so it was alone that the redhead picked out a formal (but not overly formal and nothing too fancy) outfit to wear to Bailey and Kim's ball. A white dress shirt, a black tie, an emerald vest, some black pants and black dress shoes - not much different from his school uniform when he thought about it. Still, a ball was a ball and he wanted to respect the people who had put in the effort to host it, even if they were underclassmen. Actually, them being underclassmen only made it all the more impressive to Jack that they were hosting the ball on their own. Perhaps that might have been a contributing factor as to why he had decided to come - because he was curious as to how it would go and what the pair of students had in store for their guests.

Though he didn't know Kim nor Bailey well, he had heard about them second-hand more and more often among the student body and had grown curious about the two themselves. He didn't know if he would get a chance to know them better if they were busy hosting the night's festivities, but he thought it was worth a try. Upon entering the ballroom, though, the hosts appeared to be so swarmed with guests that Jack decided to have mercy on them and leave them be for a while. Instead, he headed over to the tables where people had designated seats according to name tags and strolled about, trying to find his own.

It was during this stroll that he came across a familiar name next to his own - that of the Ravenclaw Aida's - and looked up, surprised to know they would be in attendance. He hadn't expected to see anyone else of his year there, so the fact that there was someone drew his infinite curiosity. Glancing around, it didn't take him long to spot the pale wix, watching them wander the place like a caged animal. It brought his thoughts spinning back to the night he had last seen them when he had witnessed them at the Hogwarts' petting zoo. Had they really been freeing the creatures from said zoo then?

Going up to them with hesitant steps, he waved to try to catch their attention beforehand so he didn't startle them. "Hello! Aida...Ellwood, was it?" he asked, uncertain he was remembering right. "Um...are you alright? You seem sort of...lost." He doubted they were actually lost considering their nametag was beside his which meant they, too, had signed up for the ball. The question was...why? Or could they have possibly been as clueless to their reason as he was about his own?
