An Unexpected Meeting

Dinner time at Hogwarts was something Adina was certain that she would never be able to get over. Any meal time there, or so she felt, would be like eating in heaven. The meals were excellent on another level. Adina's mouth watered before she even walked into the Great Hall, the amazing aroma reaching her nose. She couldn't pin point what there was to eat, but once she stepped foot into the Great Hall, she could see there seemed to be a bit of nearly everything. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, lamb, pies, pastries of all kinds, and more! There seemed to be a never-ending supply of what was being served.
It'd been a few days since Adina had been set within the Slytherin house. It certainly wasn't expected, what with her mother and grandmother, and even her late grandfather having been Ravenclaws. Her brother had been placed in the Gryffindor house, but even that was understandable. Their father was a Gryffindor, and Thomas was bold, funny, kind-hearted, basically a great guy...when he wasn't poking fun at Adina at least. Of course, it didn't bother Adina that she was a Slytherin, it made sense to her. Still, Adina was sure that her grandmother was going to be shocked. She had been knitting blue scarves in hopes of Adina being sorted into Ravenclaw, and admittedly, Adina had sent a cruel joke her way. A blue card decorated in eagles with the cheery words written on the front cover: Guess what house I was sorted into?! The inside of the card, however, was completely green, snakes decorating interior and something that stated she was a Slytherin now. It had been Thomas's idea, but Adina found it funny enough to send to her grandmother.
Adina was almost at a table, looking over everyone's shoulders to see what they were eating, her mind occupied on what she would want to eat and worrying over her lovely plants. She probably should have spent more time seeing who was in front of her and watching her own footsteps, because the next thing she knew she had tripped herself yet again, this time stumbling into someone. Already managing to embarrass yourself? Adina thought as she stared at the person in front of her. "Sorry!" She squeaked out, eyes wide like the owls that swooped in to deliver mail. "I wasn't looking. I didn't hurt you, did I?" How embarrassing! Adina was the clumsiest person in her family. It was why she didn't really enjoy participating in sports with her friends and her brother, but to stumble and trip over nothing was just embarrassing. It was worse that she had clashed into someone because of her own clumsiness.

An Unexpected Meeting

He enjoyed the wide variety of food that the house elves always cooked and being around friends talking about their day. Today was just like every other day, he sat there, eating dinner. He took a sip from his tumbler that he filled with hot chocolate this morning. He hadn't noticed how much he had drunk throughout the day. When he took the sip, he had finished the hot chocolate and he put his tumbler back down on the table. Seconds later, someone had stumbled into him which caused his tumbler to fall off the table and shatter into 7 large pieces. "Agh!" Oliver had said when he was hit. His arm was now sore but it didn't hurt much, either way he didn't let it show. He looked up to the girl who hit him, it was a girl with red hair, she was apologizing and asking if she had hurt him. "No no, It's alright! It was an accident anyways!" He told her. He reached into his pocket to grab his wand. He had learnt how to use the reparo charm a few days ago and now was the time to use it. He grabbed his wand, pointed at one of the broken pieces of what was his tumbler, and said "Reparo!". The pieces scrambled back together, something that reminded him of the video he had seen a long time ago, a playback of a glass cup being broken. The only difference was this time, there was no video editing to make it look like that. It was all magic. He picked up his now complete and fixed water jug and placed it back on the table. He was a bit amazed that it actually worked! He half expected it to shatter into more pieces. "Just try to be more careful next time? I’m Oliver. What’s your name?" He told the girl.
