However the only reasons why you'd be expelled- is

(not all inclusive)
- Casting an unforgivable (the spell trace is on your character, it will not take long to figure out it is you)
- Killing someone, PC or NPC
- Turning someone into a bloodthrall
- Turning someone into a werewolf
- Veela's charm
- Repeated breeches of statute of secrecy: practicing magic outside of school (as a minor) in areas where it can easily be tracked by the ministry such as muggle neighborhoods.

There are also disadvantages- youll be able to see Hogwarts OC, but you won't be in any of Hogwarts at all IC. You'll OOC lose access to the Houses and to the Staff forums (I think, according to the system).

You can learn spells OOC via the end of the year, doing hio homework OOC- but IC how you obtained the spells would have to be explained in some way- especially not op like "I knew it all along. I knew the spells- even avada kedevra" not that. Two examples included would've been independently teaching yourself the spell (via using the textbook and studying in your own time- which you have a while to do so.) Or- being tutored.

Most of what Clark said is right but I think it was that you cannot auto-learn spells of the previous year if you didn't do any homework. If you don't do any homework, you don't ever learn any new spells because you learn all the spells of the previous year because you graduate. Therefore if you aren't at Hogwarts, you can't auto-learn any new spells at the end of the year and the only way to learn new ones would be to do homework. Not sure how IC you'd do homework but maybe it would be sent to you?
