Open Studying Ahead Closed

Jordan was always finding time to further their studies. Whether it was with experiments, deeper dives into reading, or simply practicing using theories that they had learned through the other two, Jordan always had another educationally-minded endeavor planned for the day.

Today, Jordan was going to be practicing the spelling of various spells and incantations for their Charms class. That was scheduled to be the first of their day when classes began, and they liked to feel confident when they started a new subject. Of course, everything would be a new subject this year.

Jordan came from a fully muggle household, so the only magic they new about, they had read in story books growing up. Of course, they had spent the months since receiving their Hogwarts acceptance reading anything and everything about the wizarding world that they could get their hands on. This didn't mean that they really felt prepared for classes yet, though.

They were worried that they would be miles behind all the students that had grown up in magical households. Especially those who had older siblings or cousins who would have been able to give them a leg-up on the school year. So, in order to subdue their feelings of possible inadequacy, Jordan had read through the first few chapters of each school book prior to packing them for the year.

Now, they were practicing each of the first few lessons, and Charms seemed to be the easiest to master from text. At least, it was easy to practice the incantations with the flashcards that Jordan had created. They looked at a card: Wingardium Leviosa.

"Right, Win-GAR-dee-uhm Lev-ee-OH-suh," Jordan whispered. "The spell for levitation."

Jordan turned the card over and smiled, allowing themselves a small fist-pump in celebration.
