Zachary winced as the blood oozed out of his knee. It wasn't badly cut or hit, only a graze when he had clumsily tumbled onto the stone tiled floor, but he was still going to go to the hospital wing to let it get checked. He limped slightly on his way to the third floor, a light pain surging through his left leg every time his foot hit the floor. Come on, silly, the young Ravenclaw scolded himself, it's just a graze. He opened the heavy wooden door with a squeak. "Nurse?", he called. "Nurse?" No answer came; maybe the nurse was away in some other floor to nurse a different student. "Is anyone there?", he spoke up again; no answer. He stroked a fiery red bang out of his eye and decided to sit down for a little so the pain would ease. He moved over, seated himself on the nearest bed trying not to think of the illness the student who had occupied it before might have had and closed his eyes. Just a moment... just a moment...

Zack blinked. It was quiet in his dorm, quiet and dark, no light shone through the windows. He fumbled for the torch, but only grabbed thin air. This wasn't his dorm.

Alarmingly quick, it all came back to him. The grazed knee, which only ached a little now. The nurse not being in the hospital wing. And sitting down on that bed... he must have fallen asleep. A wave of panic flashed. He had missed all his lessons. Would he get long detention? He jumped to his feet, scrambling out of the twisted bedsheet and looking around wildly. What time was it? Surely after curfew, another school rule broken, great, and where on earth was that nurse? He ran to the door, twisting and turning the knob before facing the horrible truth:

He was locked in.

His dorm mates must have noticed that he was missing, he could only hope they hadn't ratted on him. He sighed, dropping back onto the bed and rubbing his forehead with both palms. That was going to be a long night.

The boy decided to make the best of it. Sighing once more, he pulled back the sheets, ready to try and find some sleep. It was hopeless to try and break open the door, and even more hopeless to jump out of a window on the third floor. Getting some good night's sleep was the only thing he could do. He was already dozing off when suddenly... "Hello." The young scholar jumped. What was that? Had he misheard or... "Hello." There it was again! A human voice, certainly, he shuddered, trying to squint in its direction. "Who - Who's there?", he called.

Pure-bloods are just the same as every other person, worth no more, no less than Muggle-borns or half-bloods.

Making her way up from the lake with scraped, bloodied hands, Nova finally reached the Hospital Wing. There's got to be like, bandages, or some kind of spell just to make this like slight burning go away, Nova thought, the cuts on her hands from falling on the rocks stinging and probably getting infected with whatever strange bacteria live in that magical lake. She made a mental note to write a letter to her father later to ask for simple healing spells... those she ought to know with how much of a klutz she's turned out to be.

Nova went and knocked on the door a few times, but with no response, she decided to call out. "Hello? Hello?" She called.
"Who - Who's there?" a voice called from inside.
"Um, hello, I'm Nova. A first year Slytherin, and I just... well it's a long story really, but I saw this girl jumping on rocks, and well I wanted to follow her, but the thing is I fell down, and well I accidentally pushed her down too but that's besides the point, I mean I'm here because I fell down and my palms are a little bloody and I was just hoping I could get some bandages or something to cover them up?" Nova stammered, still seeing no one walk towards the door to see who she was talking to.
