Off to a Bad Start

Date: September first 11 amMentioning:@ Flora HarrisonHe finally gave his cheery look up as his parents vanished in the distance. His brother should have been standing there, waving at his younger sibling as an important moment in his life. Deep down, Gabriel understood but it didn't stop his bitterness that day. It was an obvious disappointment to Gabe; he didn't even want to think about it.
He walked through the train, looking for an empty compartment. He usually wouldn't mind sitting with someone, but he wanted to be left alone. Besides his trunks and stuff, he carried a small bag full of stuff he'd want on the trip. A couple books, some sweets, a handful of Galleons his mother gave him to spend on the trip and a few more items he'd find useful. He finally found a compartment without people and relief came over him. He didn't want to deal with people right now, he just wanted a peaceful journey there.
A couple hours had passed, in which Gabriel had enjoyed by reading half his book and eating some toffee. He heard outside his compartment that the sweets cart had passed, and he wanted something. He grabbed the handful of Galleons from his bag and slid open the door.
He bought some pumpkin juice, since he brought nothing to drink on the ride. His mouth was dry, so he needed some. After sticking the remaining money in his pocket, he started to walk back to his compartment, his head seemingly in the clouds. He was drowsy as they were up early this morning, and he hadn't done much to keep his mind occupied. The next thing he knew, he was bumping into someone. Without thinking, his face contorted, and he looked up at them "Watch where you're going!" He spat at her. Thoughtful consideration implied that this run in was his fault, but he didn't care. He was finished with people at the moment.

Off to a Bad Start
Flora looked out of the windows as the express started to move, fast and fast and faster— Until everyone on the platform seemed to be only little dots. The brown-haired girl waved at them until they disappeared out of sight, and she closed the windows, sighing. The smile went off from her face as she stood up straightly, and took her bags. She had everything she needed with her, to survive the first year of Hogwarts for now. Is this the right thing? Coming to Hogwarts? Her parents are proud, extremely proud to hear about that, and yet it all seemed wrong at the same time. Wouldn’t they be afraid she would touch others that are… bad, or will she learn to do wrong things? And yet, she shouldn’t be thinking of these now. She’s free! Free of strictness, free of her family! She can finally try and make friends and be who she wanted to be.
Flora took a deep breath and started walking, past compartments full of people, and some with less people heading to attend school. At last, she finally found a compartment, where it’s mostly, just almost, clear of other students. She went to the farthest edge and settled down. Everything still…. Felt like a dream to her, at some point. Flora wondered. Who will she be? Which house would she be? Will she have any friends at all? Will she be able to do sports? A lot of questions popped into her head as she took out things from her bag. Apart from the novel she’s reading, the cookies their family’s chef especially baked for her, too. She had always favoured his chocolate chip cookies, it’s marvelous. Everything is, so far so good— As she’d probably had been expecting. Nothing bad should go wrong, right?
Well, she’s very wrong.
As Flora hadn’t prepare herself a drink, she got thirsty, and decided to go get one. Upon standing up, someone bumped right into her, and she stumbled. Fortunately, the wall behind her prevented her from falling. Unfortunately, that guy who bumped into her fell. He seemed, lost in thought, and was quite furious when he bumped into her. Flora had been expecting a sorry, like what she had learnt to do when she did something wrong to others, and yet all she got was an accusation. The 11-year-old raised an eyebrow and stared in disbelief at the guy in front of her. Despite the lack of words from her, she’s still not to type to be accused for something she didn’t done. Plus, he’s not the only one being in a bad mood today.
”Pardon, sir, but you should be the one looking in front of you,” Trying to act calm, Flora reminded the guy and stretched out her hand to help him up. She smiled a bit, hoping to look… friendly enough to him, to ease his anger.OOCReducioSry for the late reply!

Mentioning: @Flora HarrisonGabriel's eyebrows furrowed and his lips became thin. Who did this girl think she was? Ignoring her hand, he promptly stood up. He scoffed at her and replied, "I don't know what you think you're doing but you should've been watching where YOU were going." He sucked his teeth in anger, trying not to lash out.
He wasn't the type of person to cause a scene, he knew it, but nothing ceased his anger, and he kept scowling at the girl before looking down at his clothes. There was pumpkin juice all down his clothes, only rising his short temper. "Now look what you've done!" He cursed at her under his breath, thinking of many hurtful names he could call her. He thought for a moment then took a deep breath. "Buy me another one. Actually, for the inconvenience, buy me two." He demanded, sounding like an entitled brat.
His anger wasn't entirely at her, but he chose to direct it at her. She should be sorry she bumped into him, and if she wasn't, he'd make sure she was sorry he bumped paths with him on this day. "I'm not going to listen to nonsense today, nor am I going to tolerate this incident. I'd suggest you get me the juice and just go away." He stood with his arms crossed, awaiting her response.

That’s it. What’s wrong with him? Flora could feel her blood pressure and anger rising. Who was this guy again to demand payback from her just like that? Her eyes turned sharp as she glared at him. Are people from outside always this mannerless? Such disgrace! As her parents certainly will say. For once, she agrees with full heartedly. This guy must be crazy.
“Excuse me, but you’re the one who bumped into me,” Flora managed to stay sane enough to not just shout out, but she can’t afford to get treated like that. How much was home so much better!”Sir. I told you— You, bumped into—“ Flora pointed at herself, “Me. I should be the one asking for payment instead of YOU. Be grateful for how generous I am already.” Flora knew she was acting well, quite just like him. But if he’s gonna do this, she’s not backing down.
Being short than him, Flora had to walk up to him and look straight at him. What now? Never once did she get into a big fight like this— Back home it’s barely siblings squabbling at each other, unlike what this can get her into real trouble, perhaps. Sighing, she took out a few money and grabbed his hand, putting it inside before pushing it to him. “Here, you’re money,” She said, staring at him as she gave him another smile. She had spoken way too much today already, and it’s fairly tiring, interacting with others. Not surprising— Being on her own always felt better than interacting with others. Hopefully this wouldn’t affect her reputation. She’ll still go back to being quiet after this.
Again, Flora hated fighting and talking so much like this.Mention: @Gabriel Palmer

Ignoring her every attempt to call him out was getting tiring. No matter how true, he kept shaking his head and denying he did anything wrong. He looked slightly down on her, not in a mental way but physically because she was shorter. He scoffed at her, rolling his eyes. "Generous? The only generous thing here is me not raising my voice anymore. Didn't you learn how to be respectful?" He jeered, trying to keep a scowl off his face.
Keeping his annoyance at everything seemed to fade out of his mind. He was furious at her. She walked up to him, as to look more at him. She really looked like she was willing to fight him. Honestly, this knocked the look off his face. That would be completely inappropriate here.
He knew his actions were already out of line, but he wouldn't harm her for this. He watched her, unsure what she was going to do next. Out of nowhere, she seemed to give in and reached into her bag. She pulled out the money that would buy him what he wanted before she smiled rather annoyingly at him. He was flustered at the moment, trying to remember what to say. His original instinct was to thank her, but he had to remind himself not to. It's the least she could do. "That's what I thought. Wasn't so hard." He mumbled.
He walked back to his compartment, looking back at the girl. As he settled back in the seat, he buried his head in his knees. He had just made his first enemy and he hadn't even arrived at Hogwarts. Boy what I day he seemed to be having.

A flash of triumphant flowed through her eyes before it quickly disappeared again, and her eyes went back to being all darkened. “My most sincere apologies for my unmannered behaviors,” She said a bit sarcastically as she watched him walk away, folding her hands over her chest. “I don’t think I need to be ‘respectful’ to someone my age that doesn’t respect me too,” Flora added as she turned her back to him and went back to her seat. To be honest, that isn’t much money, but it still hurts to just give her money away— Hardly did her parents give her enough to use. Of course, she’d had to “earn it” using her skills and accomplishments at school. Flora groaned silently as she fell softly onto her seat. What had she done now? Gaining herself an enemy at the, not even first day of school? This is disastrous.
Flora could tell how that boy isn’t having the best day ever, but that doesn’t mean he can let his anger lashed all out on others. There are a lot of other ways. She somehow felt a bit guilty of what she had done, perhaps because she shouldn’t have did that too— Gotten too fury by him. Perhaps if this incident never happened, they may be mere acquaintances without being disliked by each other. Which is, of course, better than the situation now. Maybe after he stopped being angry, he’ll… apologize? Well, probably not, nor will she either. But maybe she’s have to meet him another time to get themself settled from this grudge, unless they’re now fully nemesis.
Still, what a horrible start of a new beginning, huh. Flora took out her notebook, or more like a diary, and wrote down what happened until now. She kept things organised, just in case Dhalia, her younger sister, asked her what happened in the future. A good event to share to her, warning to not make a scene on her first day of school, just like her.OOC:
It really is very fun roleplaying with you! We really need another thread for them in the future xD
