Asher had finished reading some of the charms they were supposed to preform this year, though he didn't try any of the spells mentioned.

He would have been content with spending the train ride reading, but just then a girl with deathly play skin har entered his compartment. Asher almost jumped at her sudden entrance but manged to control himself, the girl just stared at him for a while, long enough for Asher's cheeks to start turning a bit red, he contemplated saying something when she finally spoke. "Hi! May I sit here? I am Thorn Cullen by the way, you may have heared of us." and she sat down before he even had a chance to answer, he felt a bit bewildered as well, her purple dress basically radiated a sense of nobility, which only solidified his belief that she is a Pure-blood, while making him feel like a homeless person who just got a shower with his red shirt and white hoodie. Don't ask why he used that analogy.

He internally cursed his lack of knowledge of Pure-blooded families when he realized that he had been silent for too long. "Umm, yeah you can sit here, though you already did...haha." he could already feel his face turning red, why was talking with people so hard?

"Ah! I didn’t introduce myself I am Asher Blackjack, sorry I am Half-Blood so I am not knowledgeable about Pure-blooded families." he extended his hand and hoped that that introduction manged to salvage some of his destroyed first impression.

This wasn't Aisley's first time seeing the scarlet red steam engine. She'd been there when her step-brother, Jack, first went off. Then every year he went off until eventually, her sister, Marianne, went off as well. The only difference about going to the platform now was that she would be joining Jack and Marianne, leaving her younger brother James, and little half-sister, Isla.

"Will you come back for the holidays and any other break?" James had asked, basically throwing himself into his sister's arms. Out of the three biological siblings, James and Aisley had the strongest of bonds out of all three siblings.

"You know I will." Aisley said, hugging her brother as soon as he made contact.

"I'll miss you Ais." James said before looking down to hide his tears.

"I'll miss you too Jamie. You'll have Isla and dad to keep you company. Plus, I think I overheard dad talking about a special trip, just you and him. No mum, no Alex." Aisley said before James gave her one last hug before moving on to Marianne and Jack, making sure to say a proper goodbye to them as well.

After James had said goodbye, Aisley's dad came over, hugging her and telling her to keep out of trouble. Aisley just laughed, not promising anything. After her goodbyes were done, Aisley could faintly hear her mother instructing both Jack and Marianne to watch out for her. Seeing as the warning whistle promptly went off, Aisley decided to not wait up for her step-brother or sister, boarding the train without them.

Aisley never would have guessed how difficult it would be to find a somewhat empty compartment. Somehow, all of the compartments she'd passed, seemed jam-packed with friends reuniting, so as soon as she saw a near-empty compartment (only two people occupying it), she jumped at the opportunity. Looking through the compartment, she saw two people, a boy, and a girl. They looked relatively close in age compared to Aisley, which was a relief.

The boy seemed to have darker hair and brown, most likely hazel, eyes. The girl on the other hand had purple-dyed hair and colored eyes, most likely from contacts. She wore a dark purple dress and wore heels. The girl also had makeup that was done quite well. Aisley wished she had the talent the girl had.

Aisley adjusted her glasses and pushed a strand of her hair back, not having to move much due to the top half of her hair being in a messy bun. The girl straightened out her clothes, wanting to look the most presentable to not give off bad impressions. Aisley wore a pair of baggy jeans paired with a coffee-colored t-shirt tucked in. Aisley wore a flannel to cover her arms and had added in a belt and her black converse for good measure.

She finally made a move into the compartment, before speaking, "Um... hi. Sorry to disturb you two, but could I possibly sit here? Oh, and I'm Aisley, by the way. Aisley Solace."

Thorn shoke Asher's hand as she giggled, it seems that she enjoyed him being embarrassed, actually it feels like a lot of people do. He also made a mental note to read up a little on Wizarding politics, the very thought gave complex feelings since on one hand be enjoyed reading and on the other he really, really doesn't like politics. Maybe he will compromise and read up on just the Pure-blooded families.

It was then that Thorn started speaking "So what house do you think you'll be in? I bet mine will be Slytherin. I mean since the rest of my family is Slytherin" she then paused to let him answer. "I am honestly not sure, my mum was in Ravenclaw so I mightend up there though I honestly wouldn't mind any of the other houses." After that she continued speaking "I assume you live in the muggle world, what's it like? I can't imagine a life without magic"
"Yeah I lived my whole life as a muggle, didn't even know my mum was a witch until I got my Hogwarts letter" he smiled slightly remembering the night his Mum had told them the truth, Asher and Eleanor had taken it the best Asher due to also being a wizard and Eleanor being too young, but even with all things considered their father had still taken it better than expected.

Just then a girl entered their compartment. She wore some baggy jeans and a tucked in coffee colored t-shirt, Asher was glad that she wasn't wearing some sort of noble like dress, else he would have stuck out like sore thump sitting with them. "Um... hi. Sorry to disturb you two, but could I possibly sit here? Oh, and I'm Aisley, by the way. Aisley Solace." Thorn was the first to respond. "Why of course" Thorn said before continuing. "I'm Cullen, Thorn Cullen" she said it full of confidence, Asher inwardly noted that she really prides herself and family.

"And that's Asher" She said pointing at the me. I smiled before greeting her "Hey" Thorn then did something unexpected by pulling a ferret from her dress pocket
"And this is Slinky Binx"

Asher grinned as soon as she pulled the ferret, not because of the ferret but because of the fact that she pulled it from a pocket. "That's awesome! Did you custom order the dress with an expansion charm on the pocket? Or did you enchant ot yourself, oh wait you couldn't have, so maybe your parents did? Also how does it feel having a ferret in there? Or do you not even feel it? Asher babbled with maybe too much excitement, though you can't balm him for being excited about magic.

Aisley smiled at the girl, Thorn Cullen, who invited her in. She watched as Thorn introduced the boy, Asher, before pulling a ferret out of her pocket, saying that its name was Slinky Binx. Thorn radiated confidence and pride, while Asher seemed a bit more unsure and hesitant. Aisley moved into the compartment, moving to sit by Asher before the boy started to ramble about how Thorn fit Slinky Binx into her dress pocket.

The boy had a valid point. I mean, normally, pockets wouldn't be enough to fit a ferret in, and most of the time, dresses didn't even have pockets! Aisley slightly moved and tilted her head to the side in curiosity. Even if the dress was tailored that way, just like Asher said, would it even be comfortable for the ferret to be in there? Aisley nodded along with Ashers' questions, also wanting to know the answers about the said dress.

Suddenly, Aisley remembered something about Thorn's last name, which seemed familiar even as she was a half-blood. The pink-haired girl waited until Asher was done with his ramble before questioning Thorn.

"Cullen, right? Your last name seems familiar. You're related to the Riddle family, correct?" Aisley asked, hoping her knowledge about the wizarding world wasn't incorrect. It really would be quite embarrassing if she'd gotten that wrong. Aisley almost shuddered at that though. That would sure be one terrible first impression.

Asher almost shoved his face in his laps to avoide looking at Thorn, not only had he babbled on about her dress with absolutely no regard to her feelings on the subject, he had also manged to bring up sensitive subject without meaning to.

"I am sorry, I shouldn't have been so tactless and I brought up a sensitive topic, so I am really really sorry." he hoped that she wouldn't hold against him or start hating him, even though he knows that Thorn is probably reasonable enough to not do that.

Asher however even in the midst of his internal panicking still noticed that Thorn had actually laughed when she said that her parents were dead, which helped alleviate some of his doubts. He also payed a great deal of attention to every word she said, Asher ended up grinning as he thought about the amount of uses expansion charms have. "I now really want to meet your brother"

It was then that Aisley had asked Thron about her family, it seems that she recognized her last name and that they are connected to a family called Riddle, Asher listened to Thron as she talked about her family she seemed really proud of her lineage, but it seems that there were also darker members in her family.

Asher (again) noted that he really needs to learn more about Wizarding Families, Asher then though that they could maybe get to know each other better and decided to ask about their hobbies "So, ah do you have any hobbies? I personally like to read during most of my free time." Asher hoped that they wouldn't make fun of him for that, but he had deemed them nice enough to at least not so that.

Aisley nodded at Thorn's response about her family, glad she hadn't gotten her information incorrect before she watched as Asher almost died from embarrassment when Thorn mentioned her parents. The boy profusely apologized to Thorn before mentioning wanting to meet Thorn's older brother.

Aisley almost laughed at the interaction between the two, a smile creeping up on her face. She decided to not mention Thorn's parents or send any looks of sympathy toward the girl. Aisley knew all too well what it felt like whenever she mentioned her parents were divorced. Yes, growing up switching homes every two weeks was difficult, but she hated the looks of sympathy from others.

Asher decided to move the conversation along, asking the two girls in the room about their hobbies. Aisley promptly responded, smiling at the boy, "Well, I really like to play the guitar. I've actually brought it along with me, so I hope I can find free time to just play. I also really like to paint and draw, and when I'm back home, I do gymnastics and tumbling. I-" Aisley cut herself off, cheeks dusting a light pink before she apologized, "Sorry, you probably don't want to hear my rambling."

Aisley lightly smiled at the other two in the compartment before turning to Thorn, "What about you Thorn?"
