Appearance

Winter is brown-haired and fair-skinned, with light blue eyes set on either side of a petite nose. She is approximately 4 feet and seven inches tall and of average weight. She generally wears her wavy hair in a ponytail or bun.

Personality

Winter is shy and withdrawn, especially with those she doesn't know well. She finds it difficult to make new friends and generally needs to be 'adopted' by someone more outgoing and extroverted than she is. However, once she gets to know someone, she is a loyal friend with a kind heart.

History & Background Information

Winter was born to a perfectly ordinary wizarding family in Dewsbury, England on May 3, 2011. She is the eldest of three children and grew up with her younger brother and sister in a happy, loving home. Hers is perhaps a boring history, as her upbringing was fairly straightforward. She was home-schooled, as so many wizarding children are, until she received her Hogwarts letter at age 11. Winter never thought of her childhood as particularly odd, but she did always feel bad for her friends who grew up in single parent or divorced households. She had many friends, and her parents did their best to socialize her well with other wizarding children. Although she had few chances to interact with muggle children, her family is far from muggle-averse and encouraged Winter to befriend as many people as she could at Hogwarts, regardless of their parentage.

Winter's magic first manifested at the age of four. When she was young, Winter loved to throw things. Normally, this wasn’t a big deal, as she would throw a ball or a toy, and no harm was done. However, one day, she was not supervised as closely as normal in the garden, and she threw a small pot across the yard. The pot shattered, and Winter began to laugh. As she giggled with glee, flowers began to sprout from the shattered remains of the pot, which only made her laughter all the more merry. Her parents, of course, were less than pleased that she had broken the pot, but her laughter was so infectious that they couldn't help but join in.

Winter was incredibly excited to receive her Hogwarts owl, as she would be the first of the family's children to be sent to school. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Hufflepuff. And so her adventure began.
