It seems easy to trust Rose. It was a natural instinct of hers to help and support others, and within her natural abilities to calm others down. Even with her dramatic siblings, she could talk them down after a tantrum or an argument or something that made them angry. She was historically the person in the family that people went to when they wanted to talk about something (which also meant that she consistently knew all the gossip). Though they never really thought of it too much, there was something calming about Rose that helped others feel at ease. Whether it was her voice, her words, or just the way she would listen, she could always convince them that everything was going to turn out alright. It was part of her people-pleasing nature- she was sensitive to the feelings of others around her and especially sensitive to the feelings of those she cared about. She always wanted people around her to be okay and would take any necessary steps to ensure that.

Her company was calming to those around her. Sometimes it was just a smile, and sometimes it was kind words meant to encourage. Sometimes it's just the existence of a friendly face in a crowd that can calm others around her and let them know that they aren't alone.

It could even be that she's pretty which makes others feel like they can trust her. I doubt that's the main reason, but that is a possible contributor to Rose's calming presence.

Either way, Rose has a heart to help, so to others, her carefree and genuine nature is easy to trust, and will calm others down around her. It's hard to be worried for long when Rose is willing to calm you down. This has been a reason for at least a couple of people to be friends with Rose since they liked that she was a steady and trustworthy person. Rose's demeanor rarely changed across instances, though she did go through rough times and easier times. She almost never stopped being that trustworthy person, that steady person.

Whatever it is about Rose, she is trustworthy. There's an aura around her that makes people feel calmer when they are on her side, whether they're her dueling partner, or they're just braving one of the school balls at the same time. She helps others be at ease when they're around her.

She simply has a calming presence.

Asher had always been a smart kid, he knew how to read before most of his peers and enjoyed reading a lot of books. This coupled with his great intellect made him realize that people shouldn't live their lives haphazardly. He had always been perceptive from a young age, so he learned to appreciate the finer details of things and to try and make everything around him more to his liking. This eventully developed from simple habits like making sure his bed is always tidy and that the sheets are folded symmetrically and his room remains clean, to an irreplaceable way of life. He made sure that whatever he was doing, he would go above and beyond to make sure he got everything right, though this lifestyle of his didn't fully emerge until he started attending Hogwarts. He would obsesse over every spell he learns to make sure he doesn't miss up, he practices his spells so much that it has become second nature to him. Every time he learns a new spell he would first read up as much as he could about it, he would learn it's history and use and understand the theory and principles around it, after that he would spend a lot of time perfecting his pronunciation and wand movement, and only after he had finished these steps does he start to practice the actual csating of the spell, he then goes on casting the spell until he couldnt possibly miss it up. He doesn’t plan on taking any chances, he practices so hard to make sure his spells dont backfire in a critical moment or that he fails to cast the spell when it comes down to it. He eventually started obsessing with making sure everything in his life is perfect albeit it was much more tamed than his obsession over spells. He made sure he could perfect every potion by memorizing it's ingredients and method of brewing. He also asked his mother frequently for advice so that he would have as mush information as possible to prefect all of his subjects at hogwarts, he especially worked hard on his flying skill since it was his weakest subject, he learned all he could about it from books and tried ablying his knowledge to actual flying, he made many mistakes during his practice until he got an acceptable performanc. He couldn't leave room for mistakes.

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Metamorphmagus
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Reducio
Astra Ingebrigtsen was born a Metamorphmagus. The Ingebrigtsen family knew that their family had this rare magical ability passed down to some of it's members, like Astra's great grand uncle Fredrik and her aunt Ida had it too. Astra manifested her talent very early in life without being able to control it, changing her hair or eyes colors when she had a huge change in emotions.
She was around 4 or 5 years old when she realized that changing nose shape, eyes color, or teeth length out of the blue because of a shock or similar things was not something deemed normal, and that other people were not doing it. At first Astra thought that she had some kind of sickness and cried because of it. Her mother Ingrid did not understand why Astra was crying and it took her around half an hour to understand that her daughter was just misunderstanding her very own ability. Ingrid tried her best to calm her daughter and explain to her that she was not sick, she just had a rare ability she could not control yet. To this day this story is told to people whenever the Ingebrigtsen family talked about Astra.
Even tho some people might envy her ability, She personally does not like nor really dislike it. Because as it is right now she can see it's disadvantage, viewing it as an annoyance, indeed in some photos she does not look like herself, and sometimes she does not even know how she looks like, one day someone mistook her and thought that she was not Astra which led her to almost getting excluded from a party she went to with her family, thankfully her sister Luna was here to explain the misunderstanding.
The rare time she think about her metamorphmagus ability she view it as a waste of her own potential and talent, as even if she managed to master it her disability would always expose to other who she really was.
As of right now the girl does not care much about her ability partly because she did not master it but mostly because she has her focus on astronomy.
On top of that she doesn't really like mentioning she has this ability, not that she dislike doing so or anything, but she always feel like telling about it is taking the easy road to socializing with others, making other people interested in her, she did not need it for that matter.
It could go months before some wizard or witch realize that she is in fact a metamorphmagus.
When they do learn about her ability and ask her why she never spoke of it she would usually just brush it up as a non important detail.
When she knew that she was going to hogwarts she thought that maybe she would be able to meet more people with her ability, and maybe make her view it in a completely different way, even if it was not really her priority so to speak.

APPLICATION
It starts, like most things problems in August's life, in Corsica. Well actually, to be more specific, it starts 500 years ago with Emmeline Botticelli, a girl who saw and spoke of delusions, a girl who saw things not meant to be seen. A girl that instead of marrying the woodworker down the coast or moving in with the witch in the woods, married a pureblooded man of the name of Andre Delahaye.

Nevertheless, the newlywed seer moved to England, and had three children there in a manor in Manchester, all of which inherited the seer gene. As time went on, the Delahaye's influence spread, their genes spread, while the strength of the seer bloodline faded with time.

And so, in 1896, an 18 year old Raphael Delahaye, a man who wanted to preserve his lineage, August's great great great grandfather returned to Corsica, a town that's seer population was virtually untouched by the changing of the times. He married a pureblooded noble named Theresa Garnier, a seer bred of seers bred of seers. And he stayed in Corsica until the end of his life. None of his children were seers, but yet his children stayed there and his grandchildren stayed there, until, like most problems, her grandmother, a seer, a girl named after the woman her bloodline started with was born, Emmeline Delahaye.

And Emmeline, darling Emmeline, was the Helen of their family. And it was only with her birth, that the Delahaye family found it necessary to return back to England. And the story went on, she went to Hogwarts, she had three kids, all of them were seers, and then came August.

Now, on the opposite side of things, the Stapeley family was not nearly so complicated. Virginia 'Ginny' Stapeley was a witch born and raised of purebloods, with only a seer grandmother in her bloodline. Of course, the problem laid, yet again, with Emmeline.

For in the summer after their shared last year attending Hogwarts, Ginny and Anton had a whirlwind relationship that resulted in August's birth a mere ten months later. Now, Emmeline cared little for Ginny's feelings, nor the fact that only two weeks ago, Emmeline herself had seen a vision of a smaller Delahaye running around, of rays of sun spread upon white locks, if only because if Anton knew, if he stayed with Ginny, his reputation and his family's would be ruined.

This whole exposition is all to say that it seems that Emmeline Delahaye seemed to have forgotten the key detail that the unborn child was a Delahaye through and through. She also seemed to forget that her own son was also a seer, and that there was a chance that her grandchild might also be one.

But nevertheless, August grew up in that little shop in Diagon Alley without her father, without the knowledge of her family history. And so, when August first has a film of white cover her eyes for a second and feels, rather than sees, flames licking up the side of a building in a brief glimpse, there is nothing left for her to do except hold her chin up, and act like the pieces of what she once knew aren't shifting around her.

Describe why this fits your character: Thorn's parents were part of the dark arts, their enemies on both sides were many and dangerous. When Thorn was just three years old she was bitten, and her life changed forever. From that day forward, Thorn had the features of a werewolf- pointed ears, yellow eyes and sharp canine teeth. In the small town where she lived, rumours about Thorn quickly spread like wildfire. People feared her and avoided her like the plague. Some people thought she was a monster, but she wasn't. She was just a young girl who had been cursed with a rare condition that made her different from everyone else. It was difficult for Thorn to live with these features, especially since they set her apart from her peers. She could never fit in and had to constantly hide her differences or be ostracized. The worst part was that she couldn't control the change, it happened involuntarily and often when she least expected it. From then on, Thorn's life changed forever. She had no one else to turn to; her parents were too afraid to ask for help from anyone else who practiced the dark arts, as it could lead to more trouble. All she had was herself, and her newfound werewolf powers. She embraced her inner werewolf and used it to become stronger and more independent. She took control of her destiny and refused to let anyone dictate how she should live her life. Thorn's story may have seemed tragic at first, but in reality it was a tale of strength and courage. Her werewolf features no longer scared her; instead they empowered her and gave her the strength to live life on her own terms. Thorn's story is an inspiration to all who feel different or alone in this world - if you embrace your inner werewolf you can do anything.Though it was difficult for Thorn at first, she soon came to terms with being a werewolf and embraced it as part of her identity. The fear and judgement of strangers quickly faded into acceptance as people began to realize that she was no different from anyone else, she just had a few special features that made her unique. Nowadays, Thorn is comfortable in her own skin and is confident in who she is as a person - despite her werewolf features. Her parents are relieved that she has been able to embrace her new identity without any serious repercussions or danger. They couldn't be more proud of their daughter and the strength and courage. Years later, Thorn has embraced her werewolf side and has learned to control the transformation. She has realized that instead of shying away from her newfound abilities, she should use them to help others and protect those who needed it most. She now utilizes her extraordinary strength and speed for good, making sure that no one else has to go through what she went through as a child.

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Parselmouth
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Thorn was especially proud of her Parselmouth heritage, as it had been a part of her family for generations. She felt that that it was her duty to carry on the tradition, despite how it was often seen in a negative light. It wasn't easy, as the stigma around Parselmouths seemed to never let up, but Thorn was determined to make her mark. When she learned more about her mother's background and the dark arts associated with her family, she found a newfound strength and purpose. Her mother had been the daughter of one of the most feared wizards of their time and she wanted to learn more about the secrets and mysteries that came along with that. She was determined to use her Parselmouth abilities to dig deep into the past, uncovering long forgotten secrets and learning from them in the process. Through this journey of discovery and exploration, Thorn hoped to bring some legitimacy to the art of Parselmouth, even though it was often seen as something sinister. In doing so, she wanted to honor her family legacy and show others just how powerful and magnificent this ability could be. Thorn was proud of her family's legacy and felt honored to carry it on within her own lineage. As a Parselmouth, she had the ability to speak the language of snakes - a talent that was associated with dark magic. Despite this, she didn't feel uncomfortable about the power she possessed; her mother was the daughter of one of the most feared wizards in history and she believed it was her duty to uphold her family's traditions. The more Thorn explored her talent, the more she learned about its capabilities and how to control it. She taught herself how to approach snakes without fear and started to understand their thoughts and feelings. She began using the skill for good, rescuing frightened creatures from danger and helping to reunite lost souls. Being a Parselmouth was no longer something Thorn felt ashamed of but something she could use to make a difference in her world. It had given her strength, courage and determination, proving that what some people may have considered dark magic could actually be used for noble causes. Now, Thorn knew that the power of being a Parselmouth was an invaluable gift that she was proud to pass on to her descendants. Thorn expected to develop Parseltongue, like her ancestors before her. Although Parseltongue was often associated with the dark arts, Thorn didn't fear it. Her mother, being the daughter of one of the most feared wizards, had instilled in her a sense of pride for their family legacy. To Thorn, developing Parseltongue was an honour and a privilege - she would be able to continue the ancient trait in her family, for generations to come.Thorn knew that she would have to be careful with her new found power. She had heard tales of how some used Parseltongue with malicious intent; however she was determined to use it for good and refused to let the stories about its association with the dark arts stop her from embracing her heritage. Even so, Thorn was still cautious and kept her Parseltongue abilities to herself, only speaking it when necessary or amongst trusted family members. In some strange way, developing Parseltongue was a source of comfort for Thorn. It made her feel even closer to her mother and helped her understand her family's history in a deeper way. It also made Thorn proud - proud of where she came from and proud that she could

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):

Flora’s family, had been considerately strict, as her parents are, and her grandparents and great grandparents too— Are all said to be extremely strict, especially on making their children successful. And they would made sure their children are “perfect” enough on parts they can reach, no matter if it’s their studies or other accomplishments. Despite unsure if it’s genetically inherited from her parents, or their bloodline, Flora had always been a “perfectionist,” like her siblings, like her parents. They always learn, and they practice on and on with no complaints, until they master something, leaving no space for stupid mistakes. Even though it may be frustrating sometimes, they still do it as mistakes are seen as something unacceptable, especially to Flora— She seemed to be very into becoming a perfectionist.

Flora had always seemed to be more mature than her age, and learning more and studying more. Perhaps smarter, she knew to do things with her hardest effort, and yet she had always made sure she’ll have to make it perfect for herself and for others. It perhaps became more important upon entering Hogwarts. She’d practice and review spells, magic, everything she learnt, and make sure she fully memorize it, or master it to as good as she can for now or to her limits. Of course, people may find it annoying, but Flora likes this part of being herself— She can be better than her peers, being mastering things. Flora’s obsessed with becoming better and found herself angry at herself for not getting a perfect score.

Flora is also considerate, considering what’s the best for her, or that can make her better, closer to become excellent or the best. She’s aware of her surroundings as always and are on high alert, to make sure she wouldn’t be attacked from the back and to ensure to use her environment to the most “perfect” as she can. This is how she had been living for the past 11 years. She may not have the best confidence in herself yet she’s sure that she can become one of the best witches ever seen, by learning with her upmost efforts and trying to be “perfect”. She can’t stand things being put together in a messy way. She can’t stand things put together without having an order or being not in a straight line etc etc, and tries to use chances in the best way possible in order to earn things.

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: Binding Mark
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it): Thorn used watch her mother make binding marks on her allies. When Thorn was about four she began to teach Thorn. After her mother passed away Thorn reached out to books to help her learn the rest.Thorn had the ability to make a binding mark, and the possibilities were endless. Her telepathic communication made it possible for people to form a deep connection with each other. She could use her powers to create an unbreakable bond between two people, just as she could use it to help someone in need.It was amazing how powerful Thorn's mark was; it had the power to heal broken relationships, and even erase pain. People who had been separated by distance or misunderstanding could suddenly find themselves reunited, thanks to this binding mark. It was almost like magic, and Thorn was the one who held the secret to unlocking its mysteries. She felt a deep sense of purpose in being able to help others with her abilities. It wasn't just about connecting people— it was about creating something powerful and lasting. With just a single touch, Thorn could create a connection that would last forever and bring people closer together than ever before. The more she used her power, the more she understood its potential. This telepathic communication was far more than mere words; it was an energy that could travel through time and space to unite two souls in an eternal bond. It was beautiful and mysterious, and it definitely made Thorn feel special knowing that she had the ability to bring her self closer with others. At first, Thorn was hesitant to use this power, as she wasn’t sure of its consequences. But she soon realized that it could be used for good, allowing people to communicate on a deeper level than ever before. This was especially beneficial for those who were unable to speak or express themselves easily in words. The binding mark was more than just a way for people to connect – it also had the ability to heal broken relationships and create strong bonds between people. By making telepathic communication possible, Thorn was able to bridge the gap between friends and family members who had grown distant over time. She may have been just one person, but Thorn’s ability to make a binding mark changed the lives of many. Through her power, she was able to bring people closer together and help them understand each other better. As long as her power remained, there would never be any need for anyone to feel disconnected or alone. Thorn never expected the binding mark to become such an important part of her life. Little did she know that this simple act of marking someone would have such a profound effect on her life. Even though it was initially a mystery as to why and how she was able to make this unique mark, over time Thorn began to realize the true power behind it.The binding mark had a profound impact on those who received it. Additionally, they were more likely to experience increased levels of creativity, joy, and purpose in their everyday lives.

You have described what the ability does and how Thorn feels about it, but that is not what we look for.
Please include how Thorn got the ability. Binding Mark is not a talent someone is born with, but it is magic that can be learned.
STATUS: Pending, Opeila 09/01
Binding Mark is no superpower.
Those are the effects:
- They can communicate telepathically with those who are branded. (This can be blocked as an Occlumens. An Occlumens can choose to not hear the communication.)
- Those branded will know the location of the wizard that branded them at all times. (This can be blocked as an Occlumens. An Occlumens can elect to have their location not detected and they would know when someone has attempted to locate them.)
- The wizard that branded their followers with this mark will always know where their followers are at a given time. (This can be blocked as an Occlumens. An Occlumens can elect to have their location not detected and they would know when someone has attempted to locate them.)
- Those branded will not know the location of the others that were branded but can recognize the brand on others if they see it as the brand is unique. This is achieved because they know what the image looks like and they can communicate with and have been in communication with the others that are marked. While a metamorphmagi can make a passable image of the mark if they are aware of the mark, the mark would not be functional.)

Not more, she doesn't become all mighty through it. Please give some more information on how Thorn got experience as well- remember that this is nothing she could have cast before her first year.
We also don't allow NPCs (In this case Thorn's mother) to give binding marks.
Closed as it has been over a month. Owl sent to notify. They will need to post a new app when ready.

Ashley is more fervent. He may be considered as a distant and aloof individual, but his enthusiasm is heightened when he considers completing his goals regardless of the circumstances. Yes, it is obvious that everyone have mercenary intentions, but his was to protect what he cares about. Although his selfish and unscrupulous behavior pulls his loved ones away. It was apparent that he was intelligent for his age. Further than what appears to be deceitful to the eye, he is capable of noting it as he is quite perceptive most of the time.

Ashley spent a lot of time before Hogwarts being creative, composing stories and reading. He has a high level of intelligence. As an enthusiast, he gets excited when teachers assign homework or give them a test further more; teach them new spells.
He is motivated to learn new things and make new discoveries. He was known to be picky about the type of literature he wanted to read. He used to ask his grandma to get him books on mystery, paranormal activities, exorcism, and, most importantly, the phenomena underlying dark magic. One of his goals is to improve some of the hex, charms, and curses used in the wizard realm.

The military of wizards led by Ashley's father defended the wizarding community from any threatening dark forces. Defense Against the Dark Arts was one of his strengths.
Ashley is determined to safeguard everyone he is left with despite being consumed by melancholy as a result of losing his mother, father, and grandfather.
For this reason, he vows to conduct with efficiency, perfection, power, self-motivation, intelligence, and knowledge. Ashley is prepared to put in a lot of effort to get what he needs and want. His motives may appear egoistic, but as long as he successfully completes the task, it doesn't matter.

Ashley kind of skimmed each page as he browsed the books at Florish and Blotts in Diagon Alley before buying them for his first year of school.
One of Ashley's textbooks, titled "The Dark Forces: A guide to self protection," caught his attention since he found it fascinating. When Ashley inquired about it with his grandmother, she informed him that it would be used in the Defense Against the Dark Arts course—exactly the same course in which his father had achieved great success during his time at Hogwarts. He didn't think about the fact that his father had played a hero; instead, he concentrated on his goal of mastering everything in the textbook.

When the boy first arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he kind of thought about it. In contrast to his father, who is in Gryffindor, and his mother, who was put into Slytherin, he is forging his own path. He behaves differently than his parents did, and it appears that wit and intelligence were not their strong suits. There was no error on the Sorting Hat's part. Because the youngster was placed in Ravenclaw, he was unique. He would go see the dueling team in his free time.
Even though he is still on the fence about joining the dueling club, something keeps drawing him closer. He believes that he may be a fight enthusiast, so he should see where life takes him although his focus is on achieving what his ambitions screams.

Name of Ability or Race/Talent that you Are Applying for: part-goblin
Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it): My great-grandfather was a goblin and he married my great-grandmother. They had three children, one of them is my grandmother, who is half-goblin. My grandmother fell in love with my grandfather, and they had two children, including my father, who is a quarter-goblin. Then, my father got married with my mother, and they gave birth to me, who is one-eighth goblin. Because I am so less-related with my great-grand father, my appearance are similar with human, but I am still a bit shorter, with about 125 cm. My mother and grandfather are people with super pale skin, so my skin tone didn't change much. My head is a bit rounder but it's difficult to see. My fingers are long indeed. I love mushrooms and tomatoes, I like their urami flavour.
At a young age, I was sometimes laughed by other students, for being short than them. They also laugh at my pointed ears. But I like them, they look like the elves' ears in the books my father bought me(it seems to be authored by him to let me feel better).
But, I am definitely better at earning some more money. We had a game which we seperate into two groups and sell our own things. The group who earns the more money wins. Despite the other group had nearly twice as many as our objects, I lead the group into selling every bit of thing in a quite expensive price. In the end, we won the game!
Since I was five, my father used to give me five galleons per month to use. I buy in things and sell them out, I lend them to my neighbors and I buy some wizard stocks. I also buy some things I want but I always buy the ones cheapest and with the best quality. I can end up owning hundreds of galleons every year.
My parents tried to hide my identity to me, but I began thinking of my unique height and other body parts at a young age. I used to sit beside my mother and asking countless times--'Am I really a complete human?' At first, my mother patted my back and said,'Of course, my dear, you are definitely complete human!' Then, she started to get annoyed and forbid me from asking these questions. This simply got me more curious. Finally, one day, my mother told me quietly that I am part-goblin. Finally, I got an explanation of all these strange traits on me!
When my fellow friends learn that I am part-goblin, they no longer laugh at me, instead, they think I am so cool, to have a goblin great-grandfather.
One day, I was chatting with them but suddenly, they stared at me. 'What are you saying?' They ask. But I just think I am talking normally. I ran home and asked my mother about it, and she said I was accidentally saying Gobbledegook! Since then, I start to keep track of the words and say and now I am super familiar with this language!(505 words)
