History/Background Story:
Nick came from a muggle family, neither of his parents were wizards or had any known familial connection to them. He grew up as an only child, this caused his parents to be able to spend much more money on him and things he needed/wanted. Luckily, they had enough sense to not raise him as a spoiled child.
When Nick was 8, it became clear he wasn't normal. His teachers and parents noticed that he couldn't keep still, it was difficult for him to focus/do things and not for lack of trying. He would fixate on things and not be able to talk about much besides his interests, he had a hard time understanding social cues, and other things that other children didn't do. They decided to take him to the doctor, where he was eventually diagnosed with ADHD and Autism.
He always had a relatively easy time making friends as he was pretty outgoing.
Nick was born and raised in London, educated in a very good and accommodating school, and overall had a very average (If slightly more well-off) life.
The first time he used magic was when he was 10. Nick had a friend who wasn't well liked and had a few bullies. He tried telling teachers, but there was no proof and over the weeks his anger grew. It all came to a head when he turned a corner outside the school building and saw a group of boys surrounding and picking on his friend. Long story short, they got into a screaming match. As one of the boys were going to grab the friend, he saw red. Nick screamed, and a near by tree branch snapped off of the tree trunk. The boys ran off, screaming that he was a freak. When he told his parents about it, they shrugged it off and told him it was just a coincidence. He believed them, but still held some sort of doubt.
On his eleventh birthday, a professor from Hogwarts came to his house after all his friends left. They sat with Nick and his parents, explaining what the wizarding world was. In order for them the believe them, they had to use their wand to make a lamp float.
