It’d happened so fast. That stupid owl had smacked right into him and sent the bag flying after it panicked, landing on the roof with his broom had barely been better than crashing into a wall with the way the bag had basically emptied itself out despite his best efforts to snatch it before the worst happened. It was a miracle the camera hadn’t been ruined with the way it smacked against the roofs shingles.

Peeking through his fingers from atop the courtyard roof Elsian spared a moment to wonder why this sort of thing always happened to him. A small, shocked laugh escaped him, the strap of his bag barely held from falling off the edge by his free hand where he sprawled on his stomach; tinsel and colorful paper chains leaked from the bag, barely hanging on, the rest pooled in a comical pile of shiny colors and festive decorations around and atop the poor girl who’d waltzed right into this holiday crime scene.

Silence as he stared down at her.

The rolled up parchment he drew notes and his decoration checklist on, unrolled amongst the pile. Plans to the Ravenclaw tower he’d found and stolen copied to figure out what he wanted. Oh how horrible.

You’ve seen too much.

One of the round ornaments, made of paper mache and a bright red covered in glitter rolled down. Distantly he knew he should grab it but he didn’t. Instead he choked on another laugh, letting his head thud against his arm half hanging off the side of the roof with a muffled snort as the giant bobble bounced by the girl's feet with a tiny thud..

Thankfully, blessedly, the rest of the decorations remained in their safe pile atop the roof.

He still had to go back down there with the stupid bag though. He sighed.

Dragging the bag up he moved to sit, legs hanging over the side as he peered down and stuffed the few things that hadn’t fallen off the roof back into the backpack. Grinning he peered over the side, legs kicking into the air as he looked around, making sure nobody else was around before he was grabbing his broom and camera, throwing the strap around his neck and slipping off the roof, one foot digging into thick roots along the wall before he was hopping the rest of the way down with a grunt and thud of shoes smacking into stone.

You’ve seen too much,” he said again, crouching to grab a few bunches of tinsel to shove into the bag as he snickered, “all my evil plans, ruined.” The camera was brought up, a snap of the other amongst all the festive items and the plans with a sharp grin.

The only way forward is to make you an accomplice!” A tease, or at least partly.

It was supposed to be a peaceful evening for Sienna. A nice stroll around the grounds, staying outside until the last possible minute before she was officially breaking rules, and the rest of the evening spent indoors reading. It almost sounded just too good to be true. Of course, since this was Hogwarts and she seemed cursed to never find a peaceful moment while at the castle, her walk was unexpectedly cut short in the most odd of ways.

She was walking near the west tower when a sudden clatter in the otherwise quiet environment from above made her look up to find the cause of the noise. Unfortunately for her, she looked up just in time to watch the tinsel and paper chains fall directly on top of her. Some of the decorations settled on her, some fell to the ground in neat piles at her feet. She carefully removed the tinsel from atop her head, though she suspected some of the glitter from it stayed stubbornly stuck in her black locks. A single red ornament fell at her feet next, giving a more comical approach to the situation. Looking up once more, this time on guard for more falling festive trinkets, she saw a boy perched on Ravenclaw tower laughing, presumably at her.

Shaking her head in irritation, she let her gaze fall from the laughing boy and back to the decor at her feet. Among the tinsel and baubles there lay a piece of parchment. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be detailed plans for Ravenclaw tower, as well as a checklist of the decorations on the ground all around. Several questions swirled around in her mind after this new revelation. Why did he need the plans to Ravenclaw tower and what in Merlin's name had he been doing with all this? There were more decorations than all of Hogwarts needed for the holidays.

As if he could hear her thoughts, he landed next to her on his broom and grabbed some of the tinsel and paper chains from the ground, stuffing them back into his bag. "I've seen too much? What is this, some elaborate crime scene involving tinsel and ornaments?" she asked, only half joking as he spoke of his "evil plans." "An accomplice?" She finally put two and two together as she further took in the scene. He had totally been planning to prank the Ravenclaws by decorating their tower. "You're crazy. I'm in."

Far too much.He agreed with a sage nod, as if this was the pinnacle of some dramatic fate. A dramatic gasp followed her words, accompanied by a tasteful show of clutching at the invisible pearls around his neck like an aghast 1950s housewife. “Yes and you’re shaping up to be a pretty sad excuse of an accomplice! Just yell out my- our plans, for everyone to hear why don’t ya!

The boy could practically envision the cogs working in the other's head, it was funny in a way, waiting to see what type of reaction you’d end up getting. Whether the person was a stick in the mud, just didn’t care or-

He grinned. “Well in that case,” he threw some tinsel around his neck like an overly jolly fashion statement and stepped closer, and held out the camera in front of the two of them. Striking an exaggerated pose at his new partner in crimes side he snapped a picture of both of them side by side, equally covered in tinsel and surrounded by decorations. Laughing he let it drop to hang around his neck as he slung his bag taking a step back, “there, now if we’re caught at least the evidence will look amazing.” He said, voice dripping with humor and glee, “oh, here grab those ornaments-

It’d take a bit as they gathered up the supplies. And then a few minutes more as Elsian tucked himself innocently away back atop the low ‘roof’ out of sight with his things waiting for her to return with her own things but he’d grin and wave upon seeing her wandering up with a broom and her own things.

The extra items, that they couldn’t hold in the bags or balance on their brooms or Ravenclaw tower roof when not using would stay here, hidden away as they worked.

Ready?” He’d ask, after the other got up to his spot. Getting up to use his own broom, said broom, still decorated in a disgustingly cheerful array of tinsel and holiday colored ribbons of red, green and gold from his previous misadventures. The boy would snap his fingers as they flew, across from the girl hovering in the air near one of the ravenclaw windows as he unrolled his plans to look at for a moment. “Hey accomplice o’mine, you’re the same house right? Gryffindor! I think I’ve seen you, you’re like a 3rd year or something right?” A sharp grin on the boy's face, as he tucked the plan away, beginning to pull out the long strand of tinsel from his backpack he wore backwards on his chest one handed.

They were long, ridiculously long, he’d obviously taken the time to tie up a good 20 or so of the strands he’d slowly but surely hunted down to buy every weekend to make a long, long strand. “Figures,” he snickered, wiggling the strand in warning before tossing on end for her to grab. He’d wait for her to be done with a decoration or two before doing so. “Course you’d be a lion.

If she failed to catch the tinsel he’d jeer and teasingly mock her, flying closer to the top of the window he wanted to secure it on before tossing it to her again to let her start flying it around and make it look all nice. If she grabbed it? Well, it’d be a little less organized-

With the 2 not being quite as in sync yet and Elsian accidentally fumbling with his own broom when he flew too far and almost succeeded in making one or both of them crash and or fall off their brooms. Elsian for one ended up almost smacking into the window, wheezing with laughter as he struggled to pull up the now broken in half tinsel.

They would struggle for a good few minutes trying to tie those ends back together while still in the air.

So who exactly am I addressing as my newest holiday accomplice?” He’d asked either grinning, or still lightly wheezing with laughter as he tied the strand to the window and began hanging the large, gaudy sparkly made ball ornament and giant paper snowflakes off the strands of tinsel they hung up. “Or-” he gasped, staring down at her from his perch above her, one hand going to his mouth dramatically, “is that too forward? After all, we’re only on our first crime together. First name basis seems like at least a 3rd crime sorta deal right?
