Gryffindor v Slytherin: Match 5
Opeila's spell went right past the Gryffindor- unlike the one that almost knocked her off her feet only a second later. Oh no, he'd get that b-
But unarmed Galton seemed to have other plans. He surrendered, just like that, with a smile and complimented the two Slytherins' skills. Was it a trick? Unsure for a moment, Opeila looked to Bridget, not quite ready to let her guard down just yet, but then she did and smiled back.
"Thanks for the lesson!"
Yes yes, Galton showing her how to spread spells had truly been helping today. "But seriously, man, can you see in the dark or something?"
The fog Opeila had kept blowing away hadn't seemed to have any effect on Galton at all. "Sure, I'm down for dessert!"
The praise of the older Slytherin was as unexpected as it was appreciated. "Thank you. This was a great duel, your disarming spell really sealed the deal." She sideeyed Galton for a second and lowered her voice that suddenly had a mischievous tone in it. "After he blasted Adonis and me off the stage in 2021, this was much needed." There was not stinger, no grudge in her tone- to Opeila it was still a game, but she was proud that she got a chance to show her former opponenet how much she improved since they last duelled.

Dori couldn't blame Galton for yielding. With only a limited amount of time left it would've taken too many miracles for him to secure a win from out from under the serpents. "Galton has forfeited. Congrats to Slytherin!" There was a mild roar of applause and cheers for the house. All formality to announce it, as the duellists were already happily chatting on the piste. While the sport was brutal there was a sense of respect and admiration between the teams that came with it that Dori appreciated.
They hopped off the moderator platform, grabbing Galton's wand on the way and handing it to him. "I'm down for some dessert, and I'll come with you to check on Rose." Dori always tried to make an effort to go to the Hospital Wing after duels, one because they were an intern, and two because they just worried about the after effects on the duellists.Information
