A Brief Moment

@adelaine barlowe @Bubba McGarryThere’s November 2, and as always, it was cold. You would think that clark could be used to this. Considering he’s from Scotland. But yeah, he’s a bloody idiot. And all he could think was what can you say the rules have to be obeyed. All the judges decide what her likes me abide.
He finally decided to do something that he hadn’t done before. And that special something, was going to the great lake. But he needed some thing to wear if you were to go swimming in the great lake. It’s not like anything is gonna pull him under for being 3 foot and a half right?
Clock flipped around, his dormitory was a mess. But then he decided that he should probably look inside his suitcase from when he first came to Hogwarts. He didn’t open that suitcase, it was the one that his brothers packed. Obviously, they were clothes in there, that would humiliate him. He looked through everything that was in there, a shirt that was a few sizes too small, pants, and a few sizes too big, shoes are like 80 times bigger than his feet, Etc. But the one thing in there that was not nearly as ridiculous, but could be horrifying for some people, swim briefs.
Well, at least he had something to wear if you wanted to go swimming. After all, just to go swimming, it’s nice not to get your clothes wet. At least you had a form of a bathing suit. He put it on, and grabbed a Hufflepuff towel.
The next thing you’ll see him do, it’s going bolting out of the entrance of Hogwarts just to get to the great lake.
Maybe it’s odd to see a Park Goblin shorter than everyone else running around Hogwarts apparently, with a Hufflepuff towel wrapped around his waist. Next once he got to the great Lake, he remembered that he he should’ve brought some food. How stupid was he?
What can he do? Clark just walked over to water took off the half a pop towel asked to try not to get it wet until he gets out of the water. But it was much too cold, so he would try to do everything in his power, to dart out of the water. And then he struck a tree, his nose started bleeding a little bit. And maybe he was seen things, but they were people all over the place.
Tatsu chose my swimwear. Kill tatsu. Also any targeting towards me, I approve- light godmoding I approve. Literally, I’m flexible.

Outfit: Uniform Adelaide had wanted a change of scenery today, instead of being cooped up in the library as she done her homework. Unfortunately, the Ravenclaw did not take into account the fact that it was nearing winter and in a place such as Hogwarts, which is situated in the Scottish Highlands, winter usually meant that you were on the verge of getting hypothermia every time you stepped outside. The chill was admittedly nice though, especially after such a hectic month. It was November now, and October had been way more hectic than was really needed. The blonde didn't particularly like thinking back on it. The chill was a welcome distraction from her thoughts, and it was honestly quite refreshing.
So, she had wrapped herself up in her Ravenclaw scarf, had grabbed her satchel, and headed down to the Great Lake to do her homework. Some fresh, chill air and a beautiful view in front of her. It couldn't get much better than this, and she was determined to let absolutely nothing ruin today. She'd already had a hectic October, so she hoped to hell the universe would allow her a break these coming months. She had decided to situate herself under a tree, so she would have something to lean back on and also be granted some shade. With her textbook propped open on her legs, she was content in blocking out her surroundings and focus on writing down the answers to her homework.
Everything was going great, actually, she was so focused that she noticed nothing around her. Maybe if she wasn't so focused, she would've noticed a strangely very, very small boy bolting out of the castle and running straight into the Great Lake. Maybe if she was paying attention, she would've noticed said boy then run around like a maniac and run right into a tree. Unfortunately, the tree was the exact same one Adelaide was currently sat under. But she wasn't paying attention, and she didn't notice until the collision happened beside her and it shocked her so much, she nearly jumped out of her skin. "Merlin!" She yelped, her eyes darting around before landing on the boy, whose nose was now bleeding. "What in the-" she cut off, shock quickly turning into anger at being interrupted by this idiotic boy who was literally so small Adelaide could pick him up with a single finger and dropkick him into the Forbidden Forest if she really wanted to. He had to be a Part-Goblin, but even then, she didn't think Part-Goblins were that small. He was really and truly a midget, bordering on the size of an ant.
"Are you insane? What in the hell are you doing walking into a tree like you've lost your goddamn mind?" And that was when she noticed he was wearing nothing but a swimsuit, "And in a swimsuit? It's bloody November, you daft dimbo. Wise up and stop being a nuisance, I'm trying to do work." Her eyes narrowed, giving the boy a death glare. Deep down she knew he didn't technically do anything wrong, he was just being a nuisance. But in Adelaide's book, being a nuisance was doing something wrong. And it was truly very annoying, so he deserved a lecture.

@Adelaide Barlowe @bubba mcgarryClark just groaned. What the hell was the point? He had a splitting headache, things to that stupid obstacle that was in his way. Whose brilliant idea was it, to let trees grow around the lake? If he knew who’s idea was, he would murder them.
And then, he saw himself, face to face, with the hideous jerk. But then, again, everyone who asks him questions, are hideous jerks. Can you really fight with that logic?
He wanted to act like a toddler, so badly right now. He remembered that his fathers had mentioned that there was going to be a huge surprise for Clark, when Christmas break begins, at Hogwarts. he sure as hell did not want to know what it was. Especially, when it seems to be such a terrifying thought that he could be getting another sibling.
And it’s all thanks to the girl who started asking him questions. He looked up, and glared at her with all of his might. ”How dare you ask me such a freaking question that is so unreasonable? Do you know what, how would you like it if I took away some of your cherished possessions please?“
Clark took the school books that he saw with the girl, and grabbed it, and then decided that he would ruin it and ruin her possessions. After all, ‘you’re a mean one Mr. Grinch’. The books would be found floating in the water.

Outfit: Uniform When someone who was likely only slightly taller than a toddler was glaring at you, it was more hilarious than terrifying. She would compare him to a butterfly, but honestly, butterflies were probably more intimidating than this boy who decided it would be a great idea to swim in the Great Lake in November. Hopefully he gets hypothermia.
She didn't have the time or effort to deal with him right now. "Right, I don't really give a f-" Adelaide was unprepared for what happened next, because she certainly didn't expect the moron to make a grab for her schoolbooks. If she wasn't so caught off guard, perhaps she would've been able to save them before he... threw them into the lake? Threw them into the lake. Fuck sake. Now this was a prime example of why Adelaide hated people. The Ravenclaw clenched her jaw so hard she half expected to hear it crack. Luckily, it didn't.
"What the fuck."
Her voice was dripping with venom, and she stood up so she could tower over the boy. She could feel the weight of her wand in her robe, it would be so easy to just reach for it. She had never actually cast a spell against anyone before, it was against the rules. But she was so pissed off right now, because who the fuck did this boy think he was? Acting like a fucking imbecile, running around for no goddamn reason, disturbing her, and then throwing her books in the lake? If he loved the lake so much, and he was certainly dressed as if he does, then maybe he should just go take another dip in the freezing cold water.
Taking her wand out of her pocket and gripping it tightly in her hand, she spared a quick glance around, hoping no one else was around to see this. She didn't particularly want to get a detention; it wasn't exactly ideal. There didn't seem to be anyone around, so quicker than the boy could react, she pointed her wand at him and yelled "Flipendo!". A smirk graced her face as the spell hit the boy square in the chest and he flew backwards, landing in the lake with a splash. "Grab my books for me while you're in there!" She yelled over at him, her voice a faux cheery tone, "Oh, and I hope you get hypothermia!"
That was satisfying. Maybe she should start casting Flipendo on people more often, outside of Dueling.

A Brief Moment

Bubba was having a quite lovely day, really. Classes had gone alright. He'd managed to get through both History of Magic and Charms without looking like an idiot. Then he'd gone to have lunch in the Great Hall, which, happily, had great sandwiches on this fine Tuesday. After lunch, he'd gone to Defense Against the Dark Arts (professor Lécuyer was always a treat) and had a great deal of fun learning about Pixies and the blindfolding spell. He certainly hoped never to have the misfortune to meet a Pixie in person but if he did he would at least know how to deal with one. Then, as if Merlin himself was shining his grace upon Bubba, he'd even had a tolerable time in his last class of the day, Potions. Bubba didn't like potions at all, it just wasn't his thing and he'd made no secret of that. Still, Professor Regan made the class at least tolerable, and Murtlap Essence and Pepperup Potion did at least seem useful, even if he'd just as soon get someone else to brew them for him.
As an added bonus, he'd run into Sam after class. Bubba had cherished each fleeting moment he'd gotten to spend with Sam since they'd gone to the ball together. Unfortunately, being in different years, they had different schedules, and, as an added bonus, they were both prefects, with all the extra responsibilities that their status entailed. The cherry on top was Sam's being on the Ravenclaw dueling team. The reality was that they didn't get to see each other nearly as much as they'd like to. So when Bubba happened to see Sam walking through the entrance hall after the last classes of the day, he'd seized his opportunity.
They decided the best way to spend the rest of the day was to go for a walk down by the lake. This was a bit ironic to Bubba, as the first time they'd ever met was down by the lake when Sienna threw him in. He hadn't expected the twists and turns that had occurred since then, but he'd certainly enjoyed them. The November cold was setting in on the grounds as they walked, hand in hand, down the steps of the entrance hall onto the grounds. Bubba was fine with the cool air, it simply reminded him of winter at home. He hoped Sam wasn't suffering too much in the cold.
As they wound their way down towards the lake, Kalle had come running along behind them and was now following. Bubba's Siamese cat seemed to have a knack for showing up at the right time. He followed close behind them as they took their leisurely walk down to the lake.
They heard the commotion before they saw it. Two people, a boy and a girl by the sounds of it, were having a very loud disagreement. Then Bubba heard an F-bomb. He wasn't unused to such language but still surprised to hear it as both of the students sounded quite young. A few more loud words could be heard before the argument ended in a loud splash. Up until that moment, he'd been content to just figure out what was going on when the disturbance came into view. Now, however, with a student presumably in the lake, he broke away from Sam and ran the last few steps until they came into view, Kalle in tow.
The boy was in the water while the girl stood on the bank, her wand still in her hand. "What the hell is going on here?" Bubba asked as he looked over at the boy to see if he was ok, "Can you swim?" He asked he looked at the boy he noted a couple of books in the lake with him.

The few free moments Samantha had between classes, prefect duties, dueling training, and her homework, she spend with Bubba. He always made her smile with his jokes and his charming words made her feel so special like she was the only girl in the world. On top of that, she loved looking into his warm brown eyes. They always made her feel like she was safe in a place she wouldn't be judged, only loved. His eyes were so welcoming and comforting. They gave her the same feeling she had when she was sipping hot cocoa, wrapped in a blanket while reading her favorite book, and sitting next to the fireplace. When she looked into his eyes, she was home.
With her hand locked in his, they made their way down to the lake, the place they first met. As the brunette chatted about her day, rambling on about one of her classes, Bubba's cat followed the two prefects. Samantha had never really been a fan of animals and she only tolerated the Siamese cat because she liked his owner. The young girl never understood what people liked so much about animals and didn't expect to understand it any time soon. She definitely preferred people because they could just talk and tell you what they wanted instead of meowing incomprehensible.
Being too focused on the story she was telling, the brunette didn't notice anything was going on until Bubba dropped her hand. A surprised look appeared on her face when the warmth of the other hand disappeared and her boyfriend ran off. It took her a few seconds to notice what Bubba was running toward and as soon as she did she followed him.
As she got closer to the other students, she noticed the books laying in the water. WHAT KIND OF PERSON THREW BOOKS INTO THE WATER? With pure hate for whoever had ruined those books, she tried to figure out what had happened. In the great lake, there was a kid, the size of a 5-year-old. Seriously, Elsian could never bully her for being small again. She was a giant in comparison to that kid! In her head, she made a little note to tell her friend about the abnormal small kid as her eyes scanned the other student. The girl seemed familiar but from what? The great hall! It was the girl who had snapped at her after Ivy fainted.
A disapproving look appeared in Samantha's blue eyes when she noticed that the girl was holding her wand in her hand. While Bubba focused on the boy in the water, the brunette took a step in the girl's direction. "What happened?" she demanded to know. "Why are there books in the great lake?" she paused for a second, "and what about the boy?"

Clark’s eyes shimmer with fear. He was drowning, and obviously pirates couldn’t swim. That’s why they spend all the time and boats. He began to scream and scream and scream. He started popping in and out of the water, dog paddling himself, as an attempt to stay serviced. Pure fear struck his eyes.
Adelaine, ruined his life, it seemed. He probably wouldn’t even get to live past 11. Do you ever get to see his birthday? What do you think to see his family again. Would this be his last view ever? Why is she so mean.
And besides, from now, in the middle of his bobbing back-and-forth in the water, he saw two more people appear. And he started to question the one that wasn’t drowning? Well, that wasn’t his fault. If he dies, he hopes to his spirit will haunt the great Lake – and hunt down every single living soul that makes their way towards the great lake.
He coughed, spitting out water every single time he resurface to the top of the lake. But every single time, he went under, he took in water – simply because he was spending his time trying to be saved. He was screaming, bellowing out the status occurred – only to acknowledge that every single time he goes under-they will likely be an intermission of sound.

Outfit: Uniform Blinded by rage, it appeared she wasn't as perceptive of her surroundings as she had originally thought. Her head swung around at the sound of a voice and two pairs of footsteps making their way towards Adelaide. Both Prefects. Perfect. To make matters even worse, they were both Ravenclaw Prefects. She recognized one of them as Bubba McGarry, and the other one was the same girl Adelaide had snapped at when Ivy had fainted in the Great Hall nearly a month ago. This was just perfect.
She stashed her wand back into the pocket of her robe, despite both Prefects having already seen it as they walked closer to the scene. "He fell into the lake," she deadpanned, "and the books are there because he thought it would be funny to throw my books into the lake." She was still seething with anger, and she did not regret what she had decided to do. Though, it definitely would've been a hell of a lot better if two Prefects didn't show up at this very moment. Honestly, it always seemed as if they had a sensory tracker for when someone was breaking school rules, they always seemed to appear just at that very moment. Not 5 minutes before, nor 5 minutes after.
Turning her gaze back to the lake, she was startled to notice that the boy seemed to actually be struggling. He couldn't swim? Merlin. What imbecile wore a swimsuit to go swimming in the lake in the middle of November, but not actually know how to swim? She bit her lip, stuck between the options of saving him, leaving it to the Prefects or to wait and see if he was just putting on an act. She wouldn't put it past him. He was in the lake earlier anyhow, or at least appeared to have been in the lake - Adelaide wasn't actually paying attention to him.
The Ravenclaw took a couple of cautious steps towards the bank of the lake. She was flawed enough to have no remorse for using Flipendo to throw him into the lake, but she wasn't yet flawed enough to let him drown. She didn't exactly want to get her clothes wet though, and it was much too cold to go for a dip in the lake. Catching a cold was most certainly not on her to-do list this month. So, was she actually going to get into the lake? Likely, no. Hopefully the Prefects would see that as their job. Unless he was faking. He was probably faking.

A Brief Moment

Date: November 2nd.Considering the perfect day Gabriel was having, he figured nothing could ruin it. His classes had gone swell, he'd finished all of his homework even an essay he needed to do and had some free time. Usually, he'd hang out in his common room but his favorite activity in his free time was to hang out by the Great Lake reading his books. Scotland was rather cold in November, as it was getting close to the wintertime. He couldn't believe it was already November, October went by fast for him. He loved the Halloween feast and would miss the spirit. He hadn't let the cold bother him though, he just wanted to make the best of the snowless grounds. He wrapped himself up, preparing for the cold and walked out, grabbing his bag from the common room chair as he left.
The chilly wind was the first thing that struck his face. He pulled his hood up, shielding his head from the cold. Turning around, he walked backwards, opposite the way the wind was blowing. He'd learnt this trick years ago, so the wind always hits the covered parts of your body instead of your bare face.
He walked slowly, ready to hit the tree with his back. He was correct, he'd been there so many times he just knew where it was. He slid down the tree, using his hands to stop himself as he reached the ground. He stopped for a moment, breathing in the fresh air and viewing the beautiful Great Lake.
That's when he saw it. 3 people standing at the edge of the lake, and something was moving in the water. He got up and walked a bit closer to get a better look. Was that...was that a person!?
Peering at the lake, he quickened his pace. As he got closer, he could make out a face in the water. It was a boy! But what were the other people doing? Couldn't they see how much he was struggling? He reached the bank of the water where the boy was flailing around and struggling to stay afloat. Without another thought, he waded through the water to reach the boy. He quickly grabbed the boy's hand and made an effort to pull him out of the water.
All the while, Gabriel couldn't help his confused rage at the other people. What were they doing standing there? Why didn't they help him as soon as they saw him? At closer look, they were older than him, but it didn't matter. "What the hell were you doing? He could've died if you stood there too much longer!" He spat at them. He usually didn't like making a bad impression, but he was too upset to think about anything else right now.Mentioning: @Adelaide Barlowe @Samantha Salwis @Bubba McGarry @Clark William Baird-Carter

A Brief Moment
This was really quite something. It was definitely a scene and Bubba was really enjoying it quite a bit more than he should be. It was idyllic. He stood there watching Adelaide as she made a woefully transparent attempt to hide her wand and act as if the boy had just taken the opportunity to have a swim. Then he looked out at the boy, who clearly couldn't swim. He was doggy paddling the best that he could but it wasn't going well. He'd never met the boy but he was pretty sure he knew who he was. He'd heard about a first-year Hufflepuff named Clark who was already making quite the name for himself as quite the little gremlin. As soon as he'd arrived he felt he had a pretty good idea of what had happened. Clark and Adelaide were clearly down by the lake, likely not together. Maybe Adelaide said something, or maybe Clark was just being a little shit. Clark throws Adelaide's books into the lake, Adelaide throws Clark into the lake.
Bubba allowed himself a brief chuckle as he remember his and Sam's first meeting. At least the lake had been warm when he'd been chucked in by Sienna. Still, as he looked at the books and Clark, he couldn't help but think he might've deserved it. Honestly, who would do that to a perfectly good book? What a little vandal. He also allowed himself a brief smile when he heard Sam's reaction. Her mind immediately went to the books, not the boy. She was a true Ravenclaw. He was a bit annoyed at the whole situation. He and Sam had just been out for a perfectly fine walk, spending what little time they had together, and of course, their prefectly duties had intervened.
He sighed and turned to Sam, "Well, I guess someone should get him out." He said resignedly. He really didn't want it to be him. he was used to cold weather but he didn't fancy getting soaked in the cold water. He looked from the lake and back to Sam, he certainly wasn't going to make her go rescue him. Finally, he looked at Adelaide and had an idea. She put him in the lake, she could get him out. As soon as he opened his mouth to talk his attention was taken by something else entirely. A tiny blur sprinted past him into the lake, swimming out and grabbing Clark. All Bubba could do as the boy swam back to shore was channel his inner Connor McGregor, "Who the fook is that guy?" he asked, dumbfounded.
A moment later, both boys were back on the shore and the new arrival was chastizing them for their inaction. Bubba took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose, "If you must know we had just arrived and we trying to figure out what happened," he said before adding in an exasperated tone, "Since Ms. Barlowe put him in there I was just about to have her get him out before you went all Mitch Buchannon."
