Moderation Post Round II

After Cash was done overseeing the sticky spider rumble over platform four, from the corner of their eyes Cash took a quick glance towards piste number three. Finally, all the players that stood on the piste number three were ready for the next action. Just like what they had been doing for the last couple of minutes, the Beater climbed down from the last platform and climbed up to platform number three.

"Right on! Who's ready to die?,"The faux Captain Jack Sparrow looked at all the players from under their heavy mascara. "I am kidding!"Cash said as their smile spread from ear to ear. Not everyone is into their dark and morbid jokes. "Anyhow, let's continue, shall we?"Their green eyes bounce from one person to the next.

"Who has the guts to throw the first stone?"The Quidditch player said to the other first four. It was not literally a stone but for dramatic purposes, Cash might say the sticky spider was a 'stone'. For a moment, no one moved until the fourth year saw a sticky spider take flight. With an act of revenge whack, Aurora Griffith's spider land squarely on Charlie Jacobsen's arm.

"Out for blood, aren't you matey?"The young socialite tried to slur out their word to perhaps move a bit remotely close to the one they portrayed but failed miserably. "That was something else, kid!"Cash uttered in their normal voice. With the plan, she had in her mind that she shared with one Oliver Brown, Charlie Jacobsen tossed the sticky spider up in the air.

And with good momentum from gravity, Jacobsen smacked the sticky spider like how a baseball player hit a throwing pitch. Try as she might or perhaps she wanted to show some new skills of hers, she did not calculate her own strength. Not only that she missed Aurora Griffith by a long shot, the sticky spider somehow fly across the stage.

It almost hit one of the spectators that decided to take a front-row seat where platform number three was located. "If I were you, I channel that strength somewhere. I know a potential Beater when I saw one,"Cash send out a playful wink towards Jacobsen. What surprised Cash the most was during their brief interaction with Jacobsen another sticky spider already took mid-flight.

"Woah, hey! who's throwing that?"Cash's green eyes diligently scanned the youngsters that stood on the platform. They made a mental note. Since both Griffith and Jacobsen have already thrown their sticky spiders, they could not be the ones that will hold accountable for the flying projectile. That left both Brown and Stroudefielde as the potential culprit behind the action.

But as Cash saw the direction of the flying object it must have come from Taisia Stroudefielde's way. She used the little conversation between Cash and Jacobsen as her own set of revenge as she throws her spider toward Oliver Brown's way. It seems Lady Luck at this moment was on Huffleclaw's side as Stroudefielde sticky spiders also stuck on Brown's shoulder.

The green eyes got to admit, the game was less exciting than actual Duelling games but at least the four others that were on the stage having fun and that was what matter the most. The last one who tried to attempt his fate is Oliver Brown. Just like the last round, Brown targeted his sticky spider in Aurora Griffith's way.

He was hoping the same result will come out. But sadly you could not always get what you want. The spider stops short just a few shy away from the edge of Griffith's shoe. "Not your best attempt, Brown. But fret not! At least you get her before,"They smiled at the young Ravenclaw boy hoping he did not get discouraged by his own failed attempt.

This time me and Oliver had both decided to target Aurora. Oliver already hit her once, so how hard could it be for him to hit her again?

Cash selected Aurora to go first, and by the looks of it, she was aiming for me. Ok Charlie, you got this… I told myself as I stared at Aurora’s arm. She wound up aaand threw… Dodge dodge dodge… I thought, as I watched the spider sail through the air and fly right at me. I began moving to the side, but I was too slow. The spider landed on my arm. No. No. It’s ok. You will get her back.

I picked up the spider and felt it. How bad I wanted to walk up and smash it in her face. But it was a game. Just a game. I wound up and threw my shot.

It began going in the wrong direction and disappointment began seeping in. Cash was telling me all about how I should be a beater. But… but I was always going to be a broom racer!! Ever since my five year old self learned to fly I wanted to be a broom racer. I mean quidditch still used flying… but a beater! Being responsible for making sure someone doesn’t get hit in the face with a blunger? Too much responsibility.

Just then, Tasia threw her spider and it smacked Oliver. On the shoulder.

Oliver went, and just as we discussed, we he threw his spider at Aurora. The spider started to go down way too soon and landed by her foot. Not on her foot, by her foot.

I turned to Oliver, full of disappointment. “Welp, that was not our best round. What are ya thinking for this next one?” I asked.

It was the next round, Oliver still felt excited but nervous, how had he hit the last round. Would he have good luck again? As the next round started, the first spider was thrown, high in the air. Plop! It had landed on Charlie’s shoulder! ”Aww snap!! Good try though!” he whispered so no one but Charlie could hear. She tried to get revenge on the person who stuck the sticky spider on her, but it flew way over and nearly hit someone in the front row of the spectators crowd! Taisia then threw her spider, he had the same faith as his teammate! The spider also landed on his shoulder. He looked at the spider. His face was frozen from shock. He snapped back into the game, with the spider still stuck on his shoulder, he threw his. It looked like a clear shot, it was definitely going to hit her! His heart sunk when it nearly hit her shoe but didn’t quite make it. Darn it! He was so close! He couldn’t believe it! ”Alright we need a better plan.” he told Charlie as he started to discuss with her.
