Dear Mahlioz,
─────Greetings! I'm Ayuna, Ayuna Baudelaire and you're my first quill pal. I would like to know all about you and hopefully we could become good friends!

─────My name is pronounced as "a-YU-na", but you can just call me Yuri. I'm eleven and also in my first year. As a Ravenclaw, I stay in the Booted Eagle Dormitory- it is the place for logical girls like me- I doesn't have any bunkmates yet so it's real quite in here, perfect for reading books. I like black and purple and my favorite animal is the raven. I like thinking of new inventions and do maths, they give me the feeling of logic and science. You can always find me in the library, curled up with a book on some corner. And yes, the library is indeed so big and magnificent. I also tend to go to the great lake and breathe the fresh air outdoors.

─────I'm a muggle-born so there is still a lot for me to learn at Hogwarts. It's really a nice place to study and learn. The quiet and calm atmosphere- I like it a lot. The classes are quite hard, especially transfiguration. What do you think?

Hi again! How are you? I hope you're doing well, I sure am. I'm just flabbergasted at how big this school is!

You're so lucky to be in Ravenclaw! My whole mother's side of the family was sorted into that house and I feel like they'll be really disappointed when I tell them I'm in Slytherin. I always thought I'd go to Ravenclaw, but I guess the sorting hat is always right. The dormitory sounds like such a great place, I'd love to see all the books there. What books have you read lately?
Black and purple are both great colors, I'm pretty sure those would be my next favorites. And the raven... well, I'm not surprised. I mean, you're a Ravenclaw.
Wow, I haven't met very many wizards who like logic and maths, usually they find it useless! I also enjoy it though, I feel like there's already so much confusion in the world and a little logic wouldn't hurt. I used to go to a muggle school and math was one of my favorite subjects. It's a shame they don't teach it here...
I'm glad we both enjoy the library, we'll probably come across each other at one point because I spend most of my days there as well. Being outside, on the other hand, isn't my strong point. I'd rather stay in and read or write!
I'd really like to meet you in person some day! I'm a half-blood - my mother is a wizard and my father, a muggle. I grew up with some magic, but there is still so much I don't know, like you! And yeah, the classes can be quite difficult, I'm not used to learning from wizards yet, it's really weird.

─────Hi again! Good to hear you doing well, I sure am. My Herbology homework finally got an O!

─────I'm pretty sure that Slytherin is a nice house. Although many people say Slytherin involved with dark magic, it's really quite ambitious. I thought I'd be in Hufflepuff at the very beginning, or Gryffindor, but never in Ravenclaw! I'm currently reading the Tales of Beedle and the Bard, it's so interesting. Normally, I would curl up on a cushion with a mug of hot tea and some crackers when I read particularly long books.

─────I used to go to a muggle school as well in my town, it's call Foxwoods Prep. My favorite class is algebra as well, I like critical and logical thinking. I like Transfiguration, but it is difficult. It's really on a tight schedule these days, loads of homework waiting to be finished. At least my dorm is quiet, heard that other dormitories are going crazy.

─────I'm sure we can meet some time in the library. I always go there in the morning, at about half past seven, it's always so peaceful and quiet at that time. I like the outdoors when it's light, so I can be found jogging or simply reading a book.

I'm glad you're good too, congrats on your O! That must have been so great!
Slytherin is okay, I'm not complaining. There are lots of really nice people and I think there are too many negative stereotypes about us. I understand that a lot of terrible wizards were in Slytherin, but many great ones were as well! Still, I was really surprised about being sorted here. And honestly, from the first impression you gave off, I feel like you fit in perfectly in Ravenclaw. I mean, you love reading and learning, don't you?

Oh yeah, the Tales are pretty cool. My mom used to read them to me when I was little, and to me they always seemed like useless stories, but reading them again now that I'm older has made me think a lot.
I haven't met very many people yet, and especially not muggle-borns or those who've gone to muggle schools like me. My mother wanted to home-school me when I was younger but my father insisted I should learn some muggle morals, and I'm glad he did. Algebra is so much fun! (I must sound like a nerd, but it really is!) Oh yeah though, too much in a schedule is really stressful, I wish you luck. I've been lucky enough lately, I don't have too much and I have a little bit of free time.
That's great, we could maybe meet up there tomorrow morning? 7:30 sounds great to me. Unless of course you'd rather be alone, which I completely understand.

────I received your letter and thanks for the congrats! How are you doing recently? I'm doing great on my studies!
─────I'm also quite surprised about being sorted into Ravenclaw. Hopefully I'll manage being with all the cleverest students. Yeah, a lot of wizards think Slytherin is mean but I've met a lot of Snakes that are nice too. And yes, I do love reading and learning, especially Herbology and Flying because they take place outdoors. What about you? What classes do you like best?
─────Up to now, I have only met you who have went to muggle school, others are mostly homeschooled. Oh yeah, algebra is really fun, it's one of my favorite classes in school. You're lucky to have a loose schedule, mine is cramped with classes and homework. *shrugs* By the way, do you do errands? I haven't done any yet, just don't have enough time *cries*. They can earn you money and house points (occasionally chocolate frogs).
─────Of course we can meet in the library! I'll always be curled up on a blue cushion so you'll know when you see me! I hope we'll be friends!

Hi again! I'm glad you're doing well with your studies. I'm doing well too, I've been a little busy lately. My birthday is in less than a month and I'm so excited! When's yours?
I'm sure you'll manage being with lots of clever students, you're really smart too! Yes, Slytherin is actually pretty cool now that I've gotten to know it! I'm annoyed at the stereotypes now. I thought I'd be corrupted by them or something. Herbology is nice, but honestly, here's a secret - I'm TERRIFIED of flying. I've always seen it like something amazing only special people could do. I'm super scared of heights and I have terrible broom posture. I really wish I could fly, though... it seems like so much fun!
My favorite classes would probably be transfiguration and charms. DADA is really interesting, though. I'm looking forward to being in third year, because then I can go to Care of Magical Creatures. Since my mom is a magizoologist, I know most animals already, but I'd love to learn more about them!
Yeah, same, for the homeschooling. I didn't know so many people had never gone to school before! It must be unnerving. I agree though, sometimes I even just do math on my own for fun. Again, because I have so much time, it's pretty easy for me to fit it into my schedule. But soon my classes will start giving me more work and I'm a little worried! It's okay, though, I'm excited to learn more. I haven't done any errands yet, I'm honestly kind of scared. They seem like there'd be lots of people there. And although the prizes are tempting, I'm probably not smart enough for them yet anyway.

Good to hear from you again! Life's good, just as normal as before. It's your birthday soon? Cool! Mine is still a long way in June *sighs dramatically*

I have to say, my life is pretty good despite the ever-changing staircases and the maze of classrooms. I have gotten lost 9 times in the past week *but who's counting?* Sometimes it's really frustrating not finding the way and have to stare and think for a long time and still couldn't figure out where you're supposed to go!

Don't worry, a lot of people are afraid of heights. I'm sure the fear just vanishes as you grow up. And you're definitely right about flying being fun, I absolutely love zooming away on my broom! I'm not a fan of History of Magic though, that class is sooooo boring, literally puts me to sleep *shrugs and yawns* Yep, I really hope to be in my third year so I can study Care of Magical Creatures. I LOVE animals a lot!

In my home I have two pets, a golden retriever named Tom, and a bunny called Snow. I love them so so much! I'm planning to buy a gray rat in Diagon Alley to accompany me through the school years. And since we can't bring our pets to school *sighs* buying a new pet is probably the next best thing.

I'm sort of looking forwards to classes. Although that will be more tiring *and more homework* I still wants to learn more about the magical world! The schedule in Ravenclaw is quite tight, what can you expect from the smartest house *boasts and smiles cheekily* I'm currently trying to adapt to the schedule and plan my time more efficiently.

I hope to see you tomorrow in the Owlery. Remember to look out for a girl with ginger hair and pale blue eyes! Have to go now, gotta go to the Library and borrow some books. See ya!
