@Chip MaplesLeaving the library, Bailey pulled out a cookie. A homemade cookie, she had made them for a club meeting. They were slightly stale now, but still really good. She had had a craving for a cookie but couldn’t eat in the library- she didn’t want to get in trouble- so she finished her book and returned it, grabbed another one to read that night, and left.
She munched on the cookie, walking down to the great hall. The great hall was usually dark at this time, since dinner was finished, but bailey liked to sit there and journal; it was quieter than her dorm. Bailey loved her dorm mates but sometimes she needed quiet.
Entering the Small Hall bailey was about to enter the Great hall when she heard an unusual sound. It was like something had fallen- was someone there?
its past the first years curfew- if they’re trying to hide, it has to be a first year
Bailey called up softly, trying not to startle anyone, particularly the person who had made that noise.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” bailey called out softly. Louder, she repeated herself. “Is anyone there? Hello? Are you ok?”
Bailey went to an alcove, where she thought she had heard the sound come from. Entering the alcove she saw..

Coming out of his Hufflepuff den, Chip rubbed his sleepy eyes and made his bed, pristine excluding any and all wrinkles from his sheets and comforter. Perfect, right Mom? Chip thought, sadly to himself. As much as he hated to admit it, he missed his mother like most children had when they got sent away. His bare feet made no noise on the deathly cold floorboards, sending a shiver up Chip's spine. He left his room silently and stumbled into the main hall, clumsy from the lack of sleep. Chip couldn't see his own two feet in front of him when he entered a room because the door stood open. CRAASSHHH! Chip fell to his knees after knocking.... Something over, hitting his head on the way. Trying to put right the item that he'd knocked over, still in the dark, Chip heard a soft, feminine voice. He froze dead in his place.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” the girl's voice called out. Raising her voice an octave, she repeated, “Is anyone there? Hello? Are you ok?”
She looked at him with beautiful blue-green eyes that scanned his face. Dammit, Chip thought, sitting with his hands on a golden shield that belonged to the knight that stood proudly in the corner of the room. Chip glared a mean and cold stare at the pretty deer-like third year in front of him that gave him goosebumps. He stood up and put the shield on sideways and stood a fair distance from the girl. His pitch hair hung infront of his eyes and his mouth turned down into a frown, as his fingers nervously prodded at one another. She'll turn me in, I know she will... Tears began to stream down Chip's porcelain skin and his lips began to quiver. Bowing his head deeply and wrapping his arms around himself in some sort of comfort, he began to sob with all his might. He hated to cry, but he couldn't help it. His tears dropped to the floor and with every sound of heart-breaking despair, his fingers clenched tighter around himself, forgetting about the pretty girl who had asked him if he was okay. What am I to do? "I-I-I'll be in -s-su-such tro-bl-trobule..." He cried and cried and sunk to his knees, desperately trying to breath. Mumbling broken sentences and shaking his head he knew this was the end of his short time here at HogWarts. " Wha-what am I-I to d-do??" Chip said aloud this time. What was he to do?

@Chip MaplesBailey asked softly into the dark room - “Hello? Is anyone there? Is anyone there? Hello? Are you ok?”
Bailey entered the room, flipping the light on. She met the eyes of a young boy, a first year most definitely. She scanned his face, and as she did tears started to stream down his face.
Baileys welcoming smile started to drop. A kind and Slightly sad smile replaced it as she approached the boy, one hand lightly touching his fidgiting hands and the other on his shoulder.
Bending her knees so she was a little shorter than him, Bailey looked up into the younger boys face. His porcelain skin glistened with tears.
“Hey” bailey said softly. She continued “It’s ok- I’m not a reason to cry. I’m not going to turn you in, don’t worry. Do you need help finding anything? Food, a book to read, friends? How can I help you- do you just need someone to cry with? Someone to comfort you? Someone to ask no questions and to just leave you alone?”
Bailey dropped deeper, so that she was sitting in her heels. She looked up, searching the boys face. His face was pale, with a single freckle on his right cheek. The boys eyes were almond shaped and the clearest shade of brown that was truly gorgeous.
“Oh!” Bailey said, remember she hadn’t introduced herself. “My name is Bailey- Bailey Glade. You don’t have to tel me your name, but if you ever need someone to talk to, just send owl to Ravenclaw tower addressed to me.”

Still sobbing his small heart out, the pretty light haired girl dropped to her knees in front of his small shivering stature, her breathtaking smile contorting into an empathic gaze. She placed her pretty slender hands atop of his nervous and fidgety ones and hovered her hand over his left shoulder, a comforting gesture. One that his mother would often do when he went into his panic attacks. Looking at his saddened face with caring and soft eyes, she began her words of comfort with a pleasing softness to her silk-like voice,
"Hey.. It’s ok- I’m not a reason to cry. I’m not going to turn you in, don’t worry. Do you need help finding anything? Food, a book to read, friends? How can I help you- do you just need someone to cry with? Someone to comfort you? Someone to ask no questions and to just leave you alone?” Chip said nothing in return, sticking out his bottom lip in a childish pout. Sinking back further onto her heels, the girls blue-green eyes searched his mournful face, trying her absolute best to make him feel comfortable.“Oh!” The pretty 3-year Ravenclaw girl exclaimed, stealing the sense of safety Chip had managed to muster.
"My name is Bailey- Bailey Glade. You don’t have to tell me your name, but if you ever need someone to talk to, just send owl to Ravenclaw tower addressed to me.” Chip weighed his options, whether to tell her the truth or not. Truly, he came out of his room to seek comfort with someone like he'd done so many times with his mother, whether he was frightened or rather simply not tired. He did something he knew he would grow to regret, he jolted into her arms, hugging her waist because of his extremely short height. 11 and 4'3 and a half was a curse he hated to be burdened with. He buried his tear stained face into her abdomen and proceeded to cry. Stop stop stop crying, my faerie-boy, it'll be okay.. That's what his mother would say while stroking her index finger up and down the shell of his right ear. He wouldn't stop crying, he didn't know how to force the tears back into his irises, how to stone up his face like Mommy did when he entered the room without knocking. The feeling that washes over him wasn't embarrassment, though. It was relief, relief he could finally cry and be comforted and not miss his mother so much. As much as a baby he looked, he felt very mature for not holding on to his sadness and despair. His cries became less and less frequent and his chokes and sniffles silented after a good 30 minutes. "My name is Christopher Asher Maples, but the faeries call me Rose..." He mumbled into her, his face still hidden in her clothes and his arms still wrapped around her waist.... He felt peaceful with this faerie called Bailey. She was beautiful and kind and he could trust her, he had to. He pulled away from her stomach and he gave her a small and weak smile, but cute nonetheless.

The younger boy, definitely a first year, was still sobbing. Bailey smiled and set a hand on top of him, comfortingly. She offered anything she could think of to comfort him, and he seemed to be relaxing. that is, until bailey let out a quick "Oh" when she remembered that she had not introduced herself yet.
the younger boy shrinked back then, but seemed to be weighing his options. He must have decided that he liked her, or at least trusted her, because he suddenly jolted into her arms. Bailey wrapped her arms around him, hugging him to her. He cried, but that was ok. Bailey teared up a little, remembering how lonely she was before she came out of her shell, and before she found @Kim Sato and @Colin McCoire and all of her other friends.
"Hey hey its alright" she said softly, not sure if the boy could hear her or not.
Bailey sat there with Chip for more than half an hour, rocking forwards and back, comforting him.
She ran her hand up and down his back, like she used to do with her brothers when they needed a hug.
After a while, a long while, the boy mumbled into her shirt that his name was .. his name is Christopher Asher Maples, but the fairies call him Rose? that's my middle name
realizing she had gotten sidetracked Bailey smiled to Chip when he leaned back and almost whispered that she could call him rose.
Softly, as not to startle Rose, bailey said "well Rose, you can call me Bailey, no miss needed. And funnily enough, Rose is my middle name. If you ever need me, send me an owl, or ask someone and they can help you find me. I mean if you EVER need me, for anything."
Bailey pulled Rose into a hug, squeezing him tight, but not too tight.
