Letters to mother
Hannah didn't know if she wanted to go home for Christmas. She needed to send a letter to her mother, but she didn't know where to start.
Days later, she received a letter from her mother. It had been written in the family's typewriter.
There, it was done, it was sent.Dear mom
Dear mother,
Hannah here, writing to you.
Writing here, is Hannah your daughter. I've gotten some bad news to write to you. I've been sorted into Gryffindor, and not in Slytherin, as most of our family. Please do not tell father. I've been doing good in school, Charms mostly. Our teacher is really nice. However, Astronomy, I haven't been doing as well as in Charms. I can't wait to drop Astronomy once I'm older, and become an auror like dad father.

Here is your mother, Ailsa. I cannot tell you how disappointed in you for not getting into Slytherin, and if not Slytherin, Gryffindor. I will not tell your father, or you will be kicked out of our house, so while your here, you are a Slytherin student. Also I must ask, will you be staying here for Christmas? If so, I must get your room ready, and your bathroom too. If not, please send an owl before the train leaves. I bought some new clothing for you to take to Hogwarts, so if you decide to come home you can try them on!

Dear mother,
As a matter of fact, I think I won't be going home for Christmas, i'd like to see you and father again, but not this year. Also the dogs, but mostly you guys.
L’année scolaire a été agréable, et je me suis fait des amis, ils étaient gentils. Et toi? Comment va la famille? Est-ce que mon oncle qui promet toujours de venir à la maison pour Noël va venir avec mes cousins? Ce serait un plaisir de les rencontrer!

The school year has been nice, and I've make some friends, they were nice. What about you? How is the family? Is my uncle who always promises to come to the house for Christmas going to come with my cousins? It would be a pleasure to meet them!
As you can see, I've been practicing my French. Since grandma- France must be nice, could we visit someday? I have seen pictures, but reality must be a lot different, is it not? Most things are better in reality, like places.
I have made a list of places that I have always wanted to go, but if your tired, mother, you don't have to read it

Madrid, Spain
Rome, Italy
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Mexico City, Mexico
Maasai Mara, Kenya
Those are all of the places.

Dear Hannah,
That is a bit sad that you will not be staying with us, but I truly understand. I shall tell your father this. He won't be disappointed, but I must at least say.
Also, no, your uncle and your cousins will not be staying this year, he said he shall probably stay here next year, but if I must say, that is what he always says.
The dogs are doing quite well, but they miss you, and are sleeping on your room. (Your father doesn't know, but shh!) He would get mad if he knew.
You know your father quite well don't you? He isn't the best father, but you know, we had to get married. It was arranged and- well, you know the story. I've told you thousands of times.
Your father is now most of the time home, since you aren't around. (You know how he hates children.) I'm not saying that he hates you in particular, no! He is your father, and he loves you very much. As do I. (I'm your mother aren't I?)
Again, I'm a bit disappointed that you won't be staying here, it's your choice after all, but we can see each other when school ends.
