The Apprentice Pet Solo

Billy had gone alone towards the little shop, having finally saved enough galleons to let the animal choose her. She had always dreamed of a little companion to accompany her, but animals in themselves were quite the hassle for her family.
At last, she was here.
Billy was as silent as a mouse as she stepped into the shop, her footsteps covered by the sound of the scurrying animals and a few children nearby excitedly looking at their future companion.
There were many animals here. Owls, who Billy did find intriguing, but as she went closer to them they had all turned their heads. The cats, who seemed to enjoy the girl's company, yet Billy just couldn't click with. Toads, pygmy puffs, lizards, none of them interested in the girl. A common rat did catch her attention, allowing the small creature to climb on her. Despite her heart yearning, she had set the rat back. Something about that connection did not feel right, and rats were not solitary creatures. She couldn't get two or more rats for the little guy, so she went on her way towards the few remaining.
Spiders were certainly interesting, incredible actually. But did she have enough galleons? No...And she wasn't very sure if she would be able to handle them for long.
There was a ferret...but no.
Then Billy walked towards the rabbits, minding their own time and munching on the small bits of snacks scattered across their cages. A golden one, a grey one, a black and white one...All did not interest her.
But one did.
Her pale brown eyes locked a gorgeous white rabbit. A long silky coat, light pink eyes staring back at her. Billy's expression softened, kneeling towards the rabbit and lending out a hand. The rabbit didn't even sniff it, pushing his head against her head delicately. He looked like one of those Muggle magician rabbits. She had seen them around before, hiding in hats as the "magician" would pull the rabbit out of the hat. He had incredibly long ears for a rabbit as well...And was it an albino? Billy supposed so, given that pure white coat and pink eyes. Rabbits were some of the most common to be albino, but that was because they were purposefully bred to be that way. There may be a few sight problems, but that was okay with her, this rabbit had already chosen her. There was no turning back.
"What to name you..." Billy whispered, brushing the soft creature with her hand. She pondered, scratching his ear. Choosing a name was the most important step, one that would fit such a lovely rabbit.
"Genevra." She spoke, her hand moving away from the rabbit. The name itself from a Greek origin, meaning "white phantom," was perfect for such an animal. Though the name itself has many other meanings as well, that was the one the girl went with.
That sounded just right.
